Still enjoying re-listens in 2023!
One of those podcasts I like to come back to every few years. Like watching Parks n Rec. So satisfying.

Usually love everything Tom associated with but Ron... all the forced belly laughing doesn’t add to the fun of this discussion.

Best Twin Peaks rewatch experience
I decided to rewatch Twin Peaks from the beginning after being curious about The Return on Showtime, and was sold on this podcast by the hosts: I know Ron from his iFanboy comic book podcast, and remembered Tom from years ago on the TWiT network. what I wasn't prepared for was how enjoyable this rewatch experience was. I come to the show as a relative newbie; I was only 5-6 when the show originally aired so didn't experience then, and I had watched the show with a girlfriend years ago but don't even think we made it to Laura's killer being revealed before we gave up on the show. somehow it didn't catch me at the time, although I definitely liked it more than she did. Upon me starting the show from the beginning, I started with episode 1 of this podcast and it really provided the context and insight I needed to fully fall in headfirst with the show. not only are they superfans of the show since it originally aired, which helps provide meaningful context and clues for the episodes, but they take care not to spoil anything and are just generally great podcast hosts. they include guests from people who are obsessive about the show to people watching for the first time, and somehow they make even the weird, awful James episodes of season 2 bearable. Ron provides fun stats like the ratings (RATINGS....) of the show when it originally aired, what it was up against, and how much of the viewing public watched the show. I'm halfway through The Return right now and can't watch more than 2-3 episodes before I need to check in with Ron and Tom to see what their analysis is. at this point I find their podcast an essential part of the viewing experience, and feel like I have someone to geek out about the show with after every episode. can't recommend enough.

Great podcast
So here is my other theory: Judy is the bug that crawled inside Sarah Palmer and became her. Bob took possession of Leland when he married Sarah to be close to Judy after mike left him. The Fireman created Laura Palmer as a containment, as well as a wellspring of garmonbozia for Sarah/Judy through Leland/Bob over the years. The drink Leland makes Sarah every other night is garmonbozia from Laura's pain and suffering. Leland started developing a desire for Laura which is why he was having sex with Teresa Banks who reminded him of Laura. He found out his daughter was affected by bob and that his daughter was no longer pure and bob robbed her of that. He killed Laura to stop the cycle of pain and suffering. That opened the door for bob to escape serving Judy, and the black lodge through cooper. Doppel-Cooper and bob spend the next 25 years trying to figure out a way to escape into the alternate dimension. While the good cooper works with the fireman to trap Judy in the Palmer house by taking Laura before she got killed to change the past in twin peaks. When that happened it created a new time stream for twin peaks which everyone's reality changed to a dream except for Judy who is trapped in that alternate time loop in the Palmer house. The positive ending: The fireman re acquired Laura back to the white lodge and send her to the alternate universe as Carrie Paige. Bob is destroyed and Judy is trapped in the dream of future past. Cooper knows he can never return to this twin peaks universe since part of his soul and Diane's was entwined with black lodge at some point but forgets until he is at the end of his journey the last scene. This creates a new cooper with both good coop and bad coop all in one person as it shows when he entered the new dimension as Richard. Diane and cooper are given a new identity in the new universe and can never return because both have been trapped in the black lodge. 2 birds one stone. However the trauma that resonates the Palmer house time loop transcends parallel universes, so the Palmer house is now a haunted place. When Richard brings Carrie to the Palmer house the haunting reaches out to Carrie which brings back trauma of Laura's death is why she screams. Richard finally starts to piece together that he is no longer agent cooper. Richard and Carrie Paige return to the Palmer house to find out that the real life owners now lives there in our reality, which breaks the 4th wall. The negative ending: Sarah Palmer/Judy figures out coop is trying to help Laura escape. Judy steps in and takes Laura and place her into another Dimension coop has to follow to this alternate dimension. This brings up the question of past lives, are they past lives of our universe or do we experience our own alternate dimension selves? Another coincidence dougie is named for coops love of Douglas Firs per beginning of twin peaks series and Carrie Paige is referring to Laura's missing page in her diary.

fellas, fellas, fellas. what an amazing podcast for real. sadly i just started listening to this for Ep. 17-18 for the Twin Peaks: The Return because I was eager to hear what other people think about the finale. I have no friends or family that watch twin peaks so i feel isolated at times since I can't talk to anyone about. I've truly found joy with this podcast and wish I could go back in the past like special agent dale cooper and listen to you guys since ep. 1. Thanks!

An excellent Twin Peaks s1+2+3 podcast
I started listening to your podcast in the weeks before The Return graced us with its presence. Enjoyed the hell out of your season 1 and 2 recaps and now the season 3 stuff is even better! I'd also like to congratulate Tom on that epic prediction that OUR Cooper would return in part 16. Well done, sir! I don't know if you guys did it on purpose or not, but another thing I like about your podcast (besides the high quality of episode discussion and great banter between you guys) is that the ep count on your podcast lines up perfectly with the ep count of the show for the most part (parts 1+2 and parts 3+4 being in one ep each got it back on track there). Of course, the two part finale is going to ruin everything this weekend, but ah well. ;) Loving the show, guys, keep it up!

Love it
This podcast is delightful. Best TP podcast for sure.

Check facts guys
I find myself listening and hearing misinformation every week. Sometimes it's corrected later on, sometimes it's not. Otherwise, very listenable personalities.

My FIRST stop after each part...
I'm a fan of DTNS and the Frog Pants network (TMS shoutout!) - and marrying that with Twin Peaks is better than floating around in a gold orb. The hosts and guests are fantastic and filled with enthusiasm and curiosity for this show. I go here first after watching each part. Awesome. Subscribe now.

Love it.
Like having a conversation with friends who are obsessed with your favorite show; appreciate the insight.

Season 3 is way over their heads
They are way too insistent on a linear plot. If you loved Season 3, Episode 8, these guys are not for you.

The best twin peaks podcast!
I listen to several twin peaks podcasts (I'm very cool, I know) and these guys are my favorite! Funny, insightful, and bring a fresh perspective. Keep it up!

A great show with great perspectives
Fun and interesting. Ron and Tom both have a long-term love of Twin Peaks, but they are able to come at The Return from different perspectives which make for excellent discussions.

Bunch of unnecessary profanity
Tom and his co host are great but the guests are awful. After show 38.5, i've had enough. The show was filled with unnecessary profanity from the guests that I now no longer want to listen in. Such a shame.

Something I look forward to each week
Great weekly conversations from a couple of likable guys who give some good insight on the world of Twin Peaks. Feels more wholesome than other twin peaks podcasts. Highly recommend.

Best Twin Peaks podcast on the net. Look no further.

"Falling" cover?
Really enjoying the show, thanks for not taking the week off! Who' the artist behind the jazzier version of "Falling" for your intro/outro? Love it!

Ron and Tom are a great team. The maple syrup and ham of podcasters. I enjoy hearing their raw perspective immediately after the show airs. These guys (and their guests) are knowledgable enough to provide some great insights even without the benefit of next-day crowd sourcing. This is one of several TP podcasts I'm currently listening to, but this is my fave.

There isn't a more important podcast to me right now, as we go through Twin Peaks The Return. Love these guys and their guests!

I love this show!
Found the show through ifanboy. Big fan! Keep up the great work! I don't know a lot of people who watch twin peaks, so it's nice to have your show every week.

meh...
Not a good podcast for people that really love what Lynch is doing in Season 3. These guys spend most of the episode whining about how boring it is and debating whether it is a failure or not. I prefer spending my Twin Peaks podcasting time with people who appreciate the art of the slow burn a little more. Entertainment Weekly has a great show, and Wow Lynch Wow! on Youtube is a gem. If I want a bunch of naysayers and pessimists I'll watch the nightly news, thank you.

Very good Twin Peaks podcast
I enjoy this podcast quite a bit. You feel like you're sitting around with friends talking about the show and bouncing theories around. Very knowledgeable hosts of the world of Twin Peaks.

Essential to viewing pleasure
Ron and Tom are all the guides you need to sift through the every increasing wackiness and weirdness that is Twin Peaks Season Three. Their recaps are thorough and engaging, and their theories more interesting than others I've seen. In all, I hope there is a Season Four so that they have more to talk about!

Really Fun and Helpful
This podcast has been so fun and helpful as I try to watch and understand Twin Peaks. You should also listen to Ron Richards' other podcasts: iFanboy and Goodfellas Minute!

Awesome podcast guys!!
I'm a new listener but have no one to talk to about twin peaks with. Even my best friend or girlfriend doesn't want to watch it. Thanks for being there for me when no one else is.

Lynch is a Surrealist
The hosts remain baffled by David Lynch's style throughout the podcast and it's difficult to listen to. When they asked "Is Twin Peaks bad now?" I gave up. All of DL's work is slowly paced and requires decyphering which is the beauty and enjoyment of it.
jbdesign28
Look beyond the puzzle of the plot
I realize this is a leap, but it would do this podcast a great favor if the hosts could vaguely entertain some analysis of any aspect of the show that isn't directly plot-driven. This pod would be infinitely more interesting if one of them just once asked, "In this day and age, what could [x] represent?" The original series expanded television's collective consciousness, and with the intertwining of wide-reaching podcasts and The Return, there is such an opportunity to process this expansion that wasn't available at the time of the original series. It boggles my mind that this pod goes on and on without a word of social commentary.

Extra point for timely release, but...
I like Tom and Ron and I know they're fans of the series, but their dislike for a lot of what's happening in Season 3 is making this a tough listen. I appreciate that they're the first podcast out of the gate on Sunday nights but a little contemplation might make their analysis stronger and give them time to appreciate The Return's strengths despite its idiosyncratic storytelling and pacing.

Episode 8 review
The guest you had on to discuss episode 8 was not very informative. He brought nothing but ignorance and a lot of opinions about what he liked and didn't like. Hearing how he wishes Dougie was Coop or however else the show hasn't met his (somewhat juvenile) expectations was boring. I prefer the podcast with the regular hosts who have a bit of humility and take the show on its own terms while attempting to figure out the deeper connections and mysteries of the series. Lynch is a serious film maker and deserves to be treated as such.

Great podcast!
Guys have great commentary, and they usually have a podcast up less than 2 hours after the episode airs, it can get any fresher!

Why even watch?
There's plenty of plot-driven tv for you guys.

No Carboni please
Pretty good except for when they have that Carboni guy I hate his attitude and his opinions on the show. Hating on Harry trumans sheriff department??? What the hell. That and so many other things he says makes it clear that he doesn't appreciate twin peaks for what it is and why would I want to hear someone like that talk about my favorite show? Replace any future spots you have him filled in for with that Sarah girl. She's cool.

Perfect review of Season 3 Ep 8
I loved the fact that the panel couldn't explain what happened, and they made me feel comfortable being in the majority of people not knowing what happened. Good job guys. I'm looking forward to your next podcast!

Watching Twin Peaks
I have yet to hear a podcast that appreciates the beauty of the series; its sets, scenes sounds and pacing. What I hear is the antithesis of the show itself.

Best TP podcast of the bunch
As far as a rewatch/new-watch podcast goes, DFP is by far my favorite. Ron and Tom have true love for the series from way back, true love for and Lynch & Frost, and their respect for the work is evident, which I appreciate. They can even laugh at the "bad" bits, yet find ways to find redemption and artistry throughout, even in the "second season slump." Well, except for Billy Zane's sweaters, but, come on. They're only human. Great show, guys!!

Best Twin Peaks podcast out there
This was the third Twin Peaks podcast I tried and by far, this is the best one. They not only go through each episode, they also add little tidbits and commentary on related trivia. Anyone watching Twin Peaks for the first time like me, I recommend this podcast as a companion

Great Twin Peaks podcast
Discovered this podcast as a Patreon Supporter of Cordillers. Thanks to Ron and Tom, I've been able to discover and and get current with this show that was the pri-mortal ooze from which all modern television came from.

Turns out, Id follow Ron anywhere....
I didn't think I could find a way to increase my love of Twin Peaks, but these buddies did it. Great work so far, can't wait for season 3.

My one treat every week
Ron and Tom do an amazing job recapping each episode and giving all the details a fan would want to know about each episode. The guests are always refreshing to hear and they offer other perspectives and a variety on the level of fandom Twin Peaks has. Keep it up guys!

A must-listen for all Twin Peaks fans!
I am a big fan of Ron Richards' other podcast, "iFanboy Pick of the Week", so when he started this podcast I was thrilled. I have not been disappointed! Ron and Tom are die-hard Twin Peaks fans, whose enthusiasm is matched only by their knowledge of TP. I absolutely loved re-watching seasons 1 and 2 the day the podcast is released, then listening for their expert analysis. This podcast is funny, informative, and just a blast! If you are a Twin Peaks fan, why haven't you listened to this yet? Go-download and listen to them all right now!!

Awesome podcast!
I recently watched Twin Peaks for the first time and am having a blast listening to these guys talk about the show. I highly recommend it for anyone who's a fan!

A great way to get ready for the new episodes
Do you remember watching Twin Peaks 25 years ago? Me too. Do you actually remember any of the plot lines? Neither do I. This podcast is a great way to catch up. Yes they will spoil the show if you haven't seen it, but you've had 25 years. Go watch it and listen along. <>
