I love the show. The hosts are the great. Its a good podcast covering today’s tech news. I do feel the hosts spend too much time talking about subjects are semi-related or even unrelated to the topic they are discussing. I would love if they had their topics ordered and a time limit set for each topic to help keep them moving and the show more concise. (Something similar to ESPN’s PTI).

Having your female host opine at length about how “Kmart-alternative” Walmart is changing so much after she admits to never having been inside one ever got real cringe real fast. Tone felt out of touch and elitist. Either do your research or don’t filibuster about stuff you don’t know about.

I’ve said this before, but DTNS continues to deliver every day, and I never miss an episode. AND I support DTNS on Patreon because it is obvious that the bonus content for patrons is worth it as well. I’ve yet to find another show that respects my time and insists on journalistic integrity as well as Tom, Sarah, Roger and the regular contributors and guests.

I love Daily Tech News Show. In only a half hour, I can get caught up with the tech news I need to know. I so appreciate the fact they value my time and keep it concise. And as a patron, I have the option of extending to GDI, if I have the time and interest to go a little deeper into some of the stories and/or join the crew for some light hearted banter. Definitely worth a listen!

Tom and Sarah are seasoned techs that have followed the IT industry for many years. Their experience show in this entertaining tech podcast. One of the best tech podcasts out there.

Their intro advertisement for the other podcast they have with a historic demo just sounds horrible. Whenever it comes up in my feed it makes me cringe. Anyone who is concerned for how their show’s tone sounds should have gotten rid of it a long time ago!

A great way to spend an hour of your day and stay informed on all of the latest goings on in Tech. Fun and Informative

This show is the gold standard in tech news, conversation and analysis. Tom, Sarah, Roger, Molly and everyone on the team are veterans of tech journalism since long before even podcasting. I’ve been listening for many, many years and they are still killin’ it every day. Subscribe and enjoy.

I wish the show woudl focus on more technical and newsworthy stories. Lately it's been just 100% AI all the time, and just like NFTs, none of these stories are impactful in the long run.

Great tech news everyday if the week. They keep it to 30 minutes to make it manageable. They also don’t chase headlines when nothings happening. I’ve been listening for 5 years and I still love to hear them every day

I stopped listening early 2022 after being bored to death by rambling analysis. It seemed Tom stopped moderating the conversations to keep the podcast moving forward. I’m trying to listen again beginning Aug 17, 2022. Still a bit of rambling on topics. Audio was dreadful and unlistenable on recent journalism episode. Seemed purposely dreadful since audio is always good. I’m not going to be able to listen anymore.

To Tom and the gang: Please stick to Tech news of the day. The inclusion of this BobaTech episode has resulted in quick deletion of the episode, and a change of DTNS rating from 5 stars to 3. Yes we know everyone needs a vacation week, but please do not experiment on your listeners?

Tom, Sara, Roger, guests and crew bring a daily dose of tech news which affect our lives in so many ways. They leave me smarter, more informed and entertained. Tom’s satirical comments are as good as his puns.

Used to like this show. Recent changes to format and addition of speakers with little to no talent forced me to change my review. Merrit wants people to think he produces a professional podcast when it’s only a home for his friends. Content has slipped, talent is nearly non existent. This show will be gone soon.

This is definitely not a show for anyone who keeps up on tech or current events. The hosts have discussions on the same level as a bunch of old men sitting in Cracker Barrel and “solving the world’s problems” over coffee. There’s so many better and smarter tech podcasts than this one.

I guess we need tech news to remind us that black people have to stay segregated in order to get attention, sympathy, and special accolades. Special episodes, special segments, special experimental shows to signal to others that DTNS is not racist. Sick of this. The more you make the color of someone’s skin part of a title or of a theme, and try to pass it off as “recognition “, the more bricks you add to the segregation wall that keeps us separate as people. Can we just have tech news without the woke sauce?

DTNS is one of my favorite podcasts. Its informative and the hosts are great. I miss TechTV and was so excited when I found this show. Tom, Sarah and Roger are a blast to listen to. If you enjoy their banter, also check out Good Day Internet pre/post show (available through Patreon), its a lot of fun.

I really would love if business and policy analysis on the show was a little more thought out. Or maybe it’s just that every episode includes analysis that includes “government should regulate tech more.” There’s a lot of off-the-cuff judgments on global tech politics that are just cringey, and call for innovation-killing regulation that, if it did exist, would kill tech and put DTNS out of the job. The topics they cover and headlines are very helpful and, for a long time, this was really the only tech-centric news podcast in the game. Cleary smart people with great experience in tech but guys - if you’re going to make commentary on global tech politics, think it through first.

There does not appear to be way of contacting Tom Merritt and Sarah Lane to provide feedback. No email address, Instagram and FaceBook have almost no posts, same with Twitter. They mention Reddit but doesn’t seem to be anything there also.

I listened to podcasts over 15 years. I listened to Tom on BuzzoutLoud. Loved it. I paid a little on patreon to this show before commercials we’re sneaked in. Cancelled subscription for 4 years. I Gave it another try. Today’s shows are hurried and cut short. Right before something of substance is said the host move on. In other cases commentary is cliche, mediocre and cookie cut. It is like calling on a sleeping high school sophomore and asking about Shakespeare ,” ya he did a lot , he will be missed “. The voicing is over produced pitch. Say it differently or of some concern if bad. Every story sounds like shamwow pitch, “easy-peezy-japaneezy”. It is a little jarring and disconcerting to hear low empathy. Shows some Molly Wood outrage or rant. I appreciate a Good segue but I wouldn’t mind if dropped for a sense of decency. I wish Tom read criticisms on air and make up for it. It is not all good. Redoing, Cutting and splicing a take is maybe necessary. One take Tom is not a goal. The potential was there but sadly streamlined out. I currently listen to futility closet. It has everything this show has lapsed on. Give it a listen. Every story has good closure. Feedback from audience is appreciated even if not a big time patreon.

DTNS is the place I go for my daily fix of Tech news. Hosts Tom Merritt and Sarah Lane give me what I need to know at a level that informs without being condescending all in a half hour. Their guests bring in other perspectives to round out the balanced discussion. Just great!

Great show, quick and concise. Very focused on tech news. It’s worth contributing to the Patreon to get the video feed (no ads!) or the longer chat that bookends the show in your podcast app. However, sound quality is very uneven, presenter volume is unpredictable (sometimes Tom or others are inaudible while others are loud & ads are a completely different volume.)

Tom, Sarah, Roger, and others do an incredible sifting through all Tech news of the day and discussing the important parts. Listening to their show is always a highlight of my day! Continues to my overall best podcast

His co-host, Sarah Lane and the excellent line-up of authoritative guests make this a must listen. This a one of the podcasts I listen to. However this is the one podcast I keep up to date on. This a great tech news podcasts. Tom and Sarah have great chemistry as do all of the guests. This is a joy to listen to. It does not get too bogged down with technical info. They put the stories into a good perspective that people can understand. If I could only listen to one podcast, this would be the one.

I have been listening to Tom since CNET days. This continues as the best podcast on technology I spent 27 years working in a large software and hardware company, almost always you are right on. Unfortunately my job would not allow me to write in an participate in the discussion. Great job to the whole crew.

I listen to this and Tech Meme ride home every single afternoon without fail. This is for daily what Twit is for weekly. If you want want trustworthy, informative, and entertaining news on the regular- then this is the podcast for you. I love the format of having Tom and Sarah plus a guest each day. Good stuff.

Tom and the team give insight into technology stories I didn’t even know I needed to care about. Not only is the show enthusiast about the subject but Tom, Roger, Sarah and the other hosts have wonderful personalities who gel so well together. Give it a shot and you’ll not only learn something but you’ll get to eavesdrop on friends really loving working together. 8/4/2020 update - this show only has gotten better. The team continues to pull in diverse viewpoints from the tech community and I continue to benefit from it. Great job.
