One of the best
Crime lines and Charlie may be an acquired taste whose quality, complexity and style may take time to appreciate fully. She puts earnest effort , heart and honesty into creating a well presented, smart , show. Thank you, thank you

One of the few must listens
I there are so many true crime podcasts, some are garbage, some inconsistent, but this one is in the top few that I look forward to. I like this show a lot, I think you will too. She has added a second shorter unsolved weekly show, you can not go wrong!

I šŸ’™ Crimelines!
I donā€™t want to say the same thing everyone else does. As in, I love how detailed Charlie is; but of course, I do appreciate how detailed she is and her approach to being timeline centered bcuz it makes the story easier to follow in cases such as these! I hope her output will continue to remain as robust as it has been in the last several years. Sheā€™s stated she wonā€™t be traveling as much this year without giving reasons? ā€” I donā€™t use Social Media so if sheā€™s spoken as to why; well, I wouldnā€™t knowā€¦. ā€” My interest lies in the episodes & the scant personal banter at the beginning or end of the episodes. A subscription is so worth it to keep the flow of the story WITHOUT ANY ADS! But I feel that way about ALL podcasts! AND I LOVE HOW YOU REALLY ā€œPICK & CHOOSEā€ YOUR SPONSORS!! You REALLY ā€œCURATEā€ your podcasts! Finally, one point to critique: I have been a paid subscriber for something around 3+ years nowā€¦ since my husband died. I subscribe through Apple. It is not easy to get information on subscribing via Patreon: rates, etc vs time without seeming to create an account. But it is SO EASY to subscribe via Apple! But you miss out on SO MANY THINGS but you still pay a LOT OF MONEY FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION!! It would be nice for you to include our birthdays in the Birthday wishes you announce each month! That being said: Good / Excellent on ya for the Superior job you do and have done for so long! šŸ˜ šŸ„³ šŸ˜† šŸ˜Š šŸ˜ƒ šŸ¤© šŸ˜

Best podcast
Crimelines is definitely one of my favorite podcasts! Charlie does such a great job choosing her stories and captivating listeners. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who asks!

Good, butā€¦
I like the show and information, but her voice is very harsh and just is very hard to listen to. Take some voice training and maybe get some tips from Josh Hallmark. He has a wonderful podcast voice.
LilyViolet$
She needs to get to the point.
The starts of her episodes are so tedious and she talks too much about herself and her process. Nobody cares. Get to the point. I canā€™t listen to this.

Hilariously Biased
Donā€™t bother listening unless you want a completely non-expert opinion on why sheā€™s right and the evidence is wrong šŸ˜‚ Edited to add: Now we defend murderers on this show just because theyā€™re minors. Disgusting. You really need to reflect on yourself

True Crime (with heart)
Charlie does such a respectful job with the cases. Always a must-listen. I also love the holiday episodes like the haunted corn maze.

Consistently the Best
For years has consistently been the most informative and well researched podcast out there. Coverage of MMIWG cases second to none. Canā€™t recommend enough.

Love Charlie
Some of these reviews. Oof. I personally love Charlie, her voice, her cadence, her ā€œwokeness.ā€ (Disliking the fact that sheā€™s on the right side of history says more about the reviewer than it does Charlie.) Charlie, keep up the great work!

This is one of my favorite True Crime Podcasts. The research is so good. The legal coverage really helps giving the listener closure. Charlie Rocks and I absolutely love how passionate she is about the cases she chooses to cover. 10/10 recommend

Repetitive
The Native American stories are starting to get extremely repetitive. 15 mins of story with very little information, 15 minutes of whining about racism, 15 mins of obvious speculation. These stories are tragic, but the same issues play out every day in rural America where non natives are involved. Putting the blame on people not caring because natives are involved is nothing more than lies and pushing a narrative. The recent crime lines and consequences episode was repeating the same 10 mins of story 5 different ways. The host is a good storyteller when there is enough detail to tell the story.

Kermit
I cannot be the only person who thinks that this host sounds smack like Kermit The Frog. But I fight through dealing with this unpleasant trait, and also the weird halting, pausing speech patterns and mispronunciations because she does a good job telling a story.

Awesome!
I love listening to this podcast. Itā€™s one of my very favorites. Always interesting, well researched and well presented. Charlieā€™s voice is clear and easy to listen to. I look forward to each new episode. So please keep them coming Charlie! I listened to Insight and followed Charlie over to here and have continued to enjoyed this podcast just as much.

Tinge reading
To be fair I started at episode 1 and went to 6 just to get my feet wet. Three were overly told stories with nothing new. I skipped to newer episodes and both of them were overly told too. Overall the host Charlie is simply reading and has a bold affect with certain words that I finally said NO more please. I canā€™t imagine why anyone would pay to listen to this. Doing an episode on the DRESSAGE horse style and mispronouncing it throughout the episode and adding a note that she couldnā€™t ever pronounce it correctly was another cringe. This case was covered by everyone already too. There is always a show note that is sort of a nothing note, the speaking voice isnā€™t great and the every four to six word ā€œsongā€ is just too much to continue. Example SheDidHaveaDescription BUT SheOnlyKnewWhatHeLookedLike NOT who he was Pass on it IMO

I too love Charlie!
Hopefully Iā€™ll meet Charlie in person at TCPF this year. She gives the vibe that Iā€™d just want to hug her. You can just tell sheā€™s authentic.

Savanna Greywind
I am enjoying the podcast. As a hearing impaired person I appreciate good enunciation, pace and clarity of voice, which this podcast has. And really appreciate lack of background music which can make understanding difficult. However, I just started listening to Savannaā€™s podcast and was thrown off right away when hearing the first date with the year 1997. I thought this happened a lot more recently than that, and looking in the notes see that it is noted as 2017. Donā€™t know if it can be done in the podcast but it should be corrected. A devastating case for sure. Glad it is being covered, but it should be correct.

Love Charlie
I love the calm in her voice, as pleasant as one can be when talking about horrendous crimes. The pace is perfect and the cases interesting. Much better solo than with Ali good riddance.

A new favorite.
Found this podcast while I was randomly driving to Missouri a few months ago. Wonderful show, intelligent host, and socially conscious.

Itā€™s a no from me.
I really wanted to like this podcast, it covers so many cases I want to hear about. I just canā€™t get past the hosts voice. I canā€™t quite put my finger on it but thereā€™s an unnatural rhythm to her speaking & itā€™s like she has something in the back of her throat. Maybe if there was a co host it would help break up the monotony.

I love it, but..
I love this podcast. Been listening for years. My only complaint is recently the podcast wonā€™t stay in my follow list, I have to manually find it and hit follow in the Apple Store every couple days. It always unfollows and it only happens with this podcast. So I often donā€™t realize Iā€™m missing episodes. Please look into this to make sure Iā€™m not the only one. This is one of the very few podcasts that has a great talking voice and doesnā€™t small talk for 10 minutes. I couldnā€™t ask for anything more!

Thank you so much for putting this in the show description. I can decide if I want to listen or not. Iā€™m not a fan of unsolved crime.

Of the highest Caliber
Iā€™ve been listening to this genre for several years and Crimelines is the best of its kind (1-2 episodes per case). Only Canadian True Crime and The Vanished are even in the same arena. The utmost integrity and care for the victims and their families goes into decision making. True researchers, almost on an archival level. Iā€™ve been listening from the beginning: the content, production quality, and narration skill just gets better and better. I love Charlieā€™s cadence and annunciation, though I can understand it may not be for anyone. She is extraordinarily beautiful, inside and out!

Love Crimelines
Iā€™ve been listening to Charlie since her previous crime podcast. Crimelines is one of the few podcasts where I actually pay for premium content. Episodes are well researched, underrepresented victims are championed, and some historical context is often provided. If you are looking for a chatty podcast light on facts (this is not a judgement on podcasts like this, they just arenā€™t my jam), this is probably not the podcast for you. If you want something that will stick with you, I highly recommend Crimelines.

Great podcast
Charlie does a fantastic job with her research. I love that she does less popular cases and covers a lot of indigenous cases to bring to light current issues still going on. She is respectful and covers a great deal of information in a short period of time. I appreciate her hard work!

Ugh
My brain literally shuts off trying to listen to this podcast. I still keep trying cuz I have 8 hours a day to fill in but I never make the end of an episode cuz I realize ten mins later that I donā€™t have a clue whatā€™s going on

One of my favorite podcasts. Charlie works hard on research & is compassionate and fair. She is respectful and thoughtful towards the victims and their families. I admire her work to elevate cases of MMIW too

Iā€™m All In
Iā€™ve never left a review for a podcast before now. I listen to as much true crime content as anyone else does but I *love* this show. I love Charlieā€™s analysis, balance and research and I equally love the cadence and clarity of narration (maybe because I am also from CT so she sounds familiar). Anyway - 5 stars, fully great, all the applause.

Great podcast. In the top 5 for me
Charlie, donā€™t ever change. Your delivery is so succinct, yet flavored with your insights. I listen to every one of your podcasts as soon as it comes out.

love this podcast and host
really appreciate the mmiw coverage, and the research that accompanies each story. i love that she includes the history of the tribes and the region as well. there is such erasure with native tribes, it is so refreshing! really awesome content overall!

Wonderful host and podcast!!
This is one of my favorite true crime podcasts! Charlie uses FACTS in her podcast. I donā€™t think there is such a thing as ā€œtoo wokeā€? We could ALL (at least we Americans) be a little more ā€œwokeā€. When I see really good podcasts being pummeled for being TOO considerate, too long, and lil nit-picky crap, thatā€™s when I know Iā€™m probably going to like it! And I was correct! I cannot understand leaving mean words out there for the world to see. And I have made up a word for the person who feels the need to leave negative comments or ratings and doing so under several email addresses like they thrive on hate. Theyā€™re Ratists! Just flat leaving hateful ratings because they can? We can do better than that! I know I can! Thank you, Charlie for telling some pretty grim stories while trying not to step on any toes. Maybe an impossible task! So, for all you Ratistsā€¦just leave quietly, no words are needed. Itā€™s free, even to the Ratists!, entertainment but itā€™s a TON of work and responsibility and for not a huge amount of income for the Host! And thank you to Charlieā€™s spouse and family for helping her make time to bring us history lessons, entertainment, background etc etc etc every week! You are all truly appreciated! Again! This is a great true crime podcast! And you have an AWESOME voice and youā€™re a BEAUTIFUL human being! Truly, Fun

I tried
I really try to like the shell but I cannot stand the hose voice. I know thereā€™s nothing she can do about it and I know itā€™s probably just me but unfortunately itā€™s causing me to unsub. Itā€™s kind of a ā€œitā€™s not you itā€™s meā€ kind of thingā€¦

Love Crimelines and Charlie!
I am such a picky ā€œpodcast listenerā€ but I was hooked on Crimelines from the start. I knew I was listening to Charlie too much when her voice literally became my internal monologue lol I suggest Crimelines to anyone who is looking for new podcasts!

Irresponsible
Update: This show has gone off the deep end with its wild apologias for certain perpetrators - child abusers and murderers - and society-blaming. On a recent episode, the host decides to criticize Cold Justice, a show with actual professional investigators that has actually solved crimes and helped the US immensely, for no other apparent reason than that itā€™s a popular tv show and therefore part of ā€œthe system.ā€ Iā€™ve listened to every episode of this show, but itā€™s becoming a parody of itself, and I think Iā€™m done. Original review: This show does a good job of telling true crime stories and giving context. It is also very aware of ā€˜little t traumatizingā€™ its listeners by recounting the body horror of certain crimes, and limits relevant details. It also steers around descriptions of violence to children, which I am extremely grateful for. Many true crime shows (e.g. True Crime Garage) will repeatedly focus directly on crimes against children and go into specific details of things done against them with absolutely zero awareness or tact. This is both extremely upsetting to listen to and is degrading for the listener, the victims, and the hosts, so I celebrate Crimelines for doing a great job here. Crimelines sometimes errs a bit too far on the side of cultural relativism, like in the case of Janet Moses (the family perhaps lost out on some details of how to perform certain rituals, but certainly they were aware of how to avoid killing people), but I find this - so far - to be a side effect of the show caring about people and about telling stories holistically, which is great.

Donā€™t hear a lot of people with autism try this hard.
The lady had her cripple brained great grandmother right this in a nursing home!!! Then she reads it!!! No she doesnā€™t remember or have notes she reads it after a 4 year old writes it. Has the voice that no one could love Iā€™m not gonna comment on her homeliness but she has no business doing a podcast. Reading directly has to be worse than anything Iā€™ve heard on the medium. Listen if talentless drones make you sleep. Yawn me a river

Liked the show, then got sick of personal opinions thrown into every show lately. I thought, oh another indigenous person, like myself. Nope just another white women trying too hard. We get it youā€™re woke.
