Painfully scripted
I guess it’s good to have someone read a recently published review to you if you don’t wanna read it yourself. However, these supposed doctors are really hard on the ears. They are obviously reading from a script they wrote together the night before. They sound like a bunch of 10 yr olds reading lines in a school play.

Excellent!
The BEST! And I listen to a lot of medical podcasts. You won’t regret adding this one to your library.

Among the best medical podcasts
CoreIM is one of the best internal medicine podcasts. It is concise, the information is valuable and it does a very good job of presenting information fairly from the perspectives of multiple experts. The 5 pearls episodes are the best. I learned hyponatremia, disposition and countless other things from this podcast.

Awesome!
I’m so glad I found this podcast! Great concise summaries with great tips! Very practical! I’ve been copying and saving the graphics for later review as well. Great job team. Keep it up! 👍

Terrific job!
I really enjoy listening when exercising or driving between home and the hospital. Definitely gives me flashbacks to residency/fellowship journal club but without the associated dread. Keep up the great work!

Excellent informative podcast!
I’ve been listening to this podcast intermittently since it started. Absolutely full of useful and thought provoking information. I would listen to every single episode if it weren’t for…alas, TIME. Well considered structure of each episode. Great resource when you have a specific question too.

Helpful but Cringy
Really good information here, definitely we’ll organized! Clearly very scripted & fake laughs, “making conversation”, are cringy and awkward.

Excellent medical knowledge nuggets
I just listened to this podcast for the first time today. Like everyone else I have a busy schedule and little time to take off for CME. The episode I heard was in collaboration with NEJM Group on the topic of PCI vs medical management in stable ischemic heart disease. It was concise went over the results of se tam studies both past and present and gave explanations as to why the findings may have been what they were. It was thoroughly explained and to the point. Excellent for the resident or attending.

Really wonderful
My name is Nicholas, I studied for my MScPH at LSHTM. I'm currently pre-med in Rochester, New York, working in public health and disease control. I can't imagine the work that goes into producing these episodes, but I also can't quantify how much we appreciate them! Just fantastic work by a fantastic team. Thank you! Nick

Excellence
This is my favorite medicine-related podcast. Everything about it is very well done from the information and cases presented, guest experts, production value. Thank you Core IM!

“A ton of “ ?
Please stop using the non medical, non scientific, junior high school expression “ a ton of “. It’s juvenile and inaccurate when addressing concrete measurements. I did not get a ton of information from this podcast because of the teenage language. Remember: it’s grams and milliliters not “ tons “. Duh.

High quality!
Really great episodes. NPR like! I appreciate all the work that goes into the episodes

The BEST MedEd Podcast Out There!
Short and efficient episodes that are entertaining and inspirational! Best way to spend 20min driving to and from school/clinic and it’s helped me impress on rounds more than several times! Make sure to check out the episodes on hyponatremia work up, COPD inhalers, and the Mind the Gap segment!

Captivating and informative
Really love listening to this podcast on my way to my Advanced internal medicine rotation! The episodes are short, sweet and to the point, and of course they’re very informative. I especially love their case presentations that they do on different diagnoses. Super helpful as an M4!

Entertaining and educational
I love listening to the podcast in bed and while in the car. I’m a new PA grad and am preparing to start off my career in IM. This podcast has been great for keeping abreast topics that I didn’t fully grasp during school. The pathophysiology component is so well explained which is invaluable. Thanks so much for being such great teachers and sharing the wisdom and experiences. You guys are the best!

Best podcast!
I’m an ICU nurse who has exhausted the nursing podcast resources to the point that I didn’t feel like I was learning new clinically-relevant any more. Core IM is the perfect step up in terms of complexity! Highly recommend this podcast to anyone wanting to better understand evidence-based practice in the healthcare setting.

More Grey Area!
Loved the grey area segment. These types of cases are what makes medicine both so challenging and so awe-inspiring. It’s important we reflect on what we do to patients, especially in difficult cases. I’m hoping for more in this series

Geriatric assessment
Overall, excellent presentation. I do have an issue with the mental assessment summary mentioning race. For so long, race has been used as a factor for something, without a scientific basis. Ex: 1) GFR-with race as affecting the result. 2) Race somehow affecting IQ-with devastating effects such as the recent concussion scandal, where different standards were used for African American players with the result that they were denied payments.

Core part of my training
I’m a second year internal medicine resident, and I’ve finally worked my way through every CoreIM podcast over the past 2-3 years. Their 5 pearls series and hoofbeats segments have been integral to my development as a physician and have helped me become a better educator for the interns and medical students on my teams. I am constantly quoting CoreIM episodes while on rounds and when asked questions. Very thankful for all of the hard work that the CoreIM team puts in to develop such quality FOAMEd. If you’re a student, resident or attending, your practice will change after listening to CoreIM!

Love this podcast!
As someone who is not in the medical field, I love this podcast due to the variety of topics covered. It is easy to find something I am interested in that is explained in a professional matter, but not just in medical-speak. It is also nice to hear medical professionals speak in a way that showcase their personalities and add a bit of a sense of humor to their discussions.

Hits great topics - for all levels
Thank you for a great podcast. Hosts and guests are well-spoken and easy to understand. Topics are well thought out. I’ve found the subject content helpful to medical learners of all levels-from students to attending physicians. Experts interviewed are utilized efficiently and provide helpful “sound bites.” Keep up the great work!

Very helpful. Thank you for your efforts.
Would like to hear how you would manage the lipid profile dilemmas with average or lean people plus the risks associated with statins for long term use especially the risk of cognitive decline.

Useful for an IM resident
Fun and easy to listen to on my way to work! As an IM resident, it’s hard to fit in a lot of formal learning and reading so this is a good way for me to review some content without a lot of activation energy. The topics have been very relevant and useful

Phenomenal learning!

It is clear that the producers are committed to churning out extremely high quality content for the audience in an organized and efficient way! Thank you for helping the medical community stay up to date while having fun listening!

A must-listen podcast!
I want to be best friends with all of the hosts and guest speakers featured in these podcasts! Everyone’s stories are so captivating and relatable, and the questions they ask+answer are so insightful. The content of each episode is also so carefully curated with a great attention to detail. It’s clear that everything spoken serves a purpose in enriching the context and driving forward the message of the episode. This thoughtful design sets CoreIM apart from other podcasts, which can be more longwinded and dry. CoreIM is short, sweet, and loaded with quality content—each episode packs a powerful punch!

A+
This is such a great podcast with the right mix of medical education and clinical case presentations. It helps build a great framework for those who are in training but is also the perfect fit for those of us who are lifelong learners!

LOVE
I have been a hardcore fan of Core IM for years now! I absolutely love this podcast. As a medical student this literally is my go to source for brain food on how to reason clinically. It was beyond helpful in both preclinical and now in my clinical year, to help integrate what I am otherwise reading about or seeing on the wards. Every episode is loaded with high-yield information. Of all medical podcasts, Core IM by far has the highest level of thought and attention to detail and mindfulness of learners’ common questions as well as clinics pearls. It is clear that Dr. Trivedi and her team care deeply about medical education as well as their patients. It is so crucial in medical training to keep exposing yourself to medicine in as many ways as possible and Core IM makes that easy and fun! Absolutely clutch podcast for doctors and trainees of all levels.

resident physician
Of all the medical podcasts, I can tell this one is the most well thought-out, researched, and reliable. They do not broadcast misinformation or evidence-free information (such as expert opinion). Which other podcast is as comprehensive, tackling the educational, clinical, and human sides of medicine?

Fantastic resource for lifelong learning
Core IM is an outstanding product. Engaging. Thoughtful. Deep and thorough. Filled with nuance. Useful for any level of physician or trainee looking to improve medical knowledge. Hosts are incredible at keeping you entertained while learning - is doesn’t feel like you’re learning because you’re so engaged! 5/5

Unparalleled
One of the best medical education podcasts out there. The various segments— Hoofbeats for clinical reasoning, Mind the Gap for evidence, etc.— ensure there’s something everyone will love. The polish of every single episode, including peer review, graphics, and show notes, are in my opinion unparalleled. Can’t wait for the next ep!

Absolutely love the information presented in this podcast. I will say there is such random forced laughter it can be distracting at times, so that could be one thing to limit.

Love this podcast!
I’ve been away from direct patient care for a few years now but have been listening to this podcast to refresh on some topics. I really enjoy it however sometimes the podcasters speak way too fast, and requires me to rewind several times to actual hear and understand the points they’re explaining. Other than that I really enjoy it.

The podcast is completely superior. I love the personalities of everyone. I savor the fun banter. I like the time space and repeat learning on the clinical pearls section. This gem of a podcast is for any physician, especially internal medicine and internal medicine sub-specialists to continue their ongoing learning. Thank you so much for this high-quality podcast. It is clear you spend a ton of time making a polished and perfect product. It brings me right back to the morning report room of my internal medicine residency. In particular, I like all the cognitive psychology information you bring to the table. Not only do you provide high-yield knowledge-based information, you provide us with methods to learn this information and assimilate it. Kudos to the core IM team!!!

Amazingly informative, clinically relevant and fun!
A friend forwarded me your podcast on coronary artery disease, calcium scores and CT-As. So practical, so informative! I’m a psychiatrist, and I finished my internship 20 years ago, when some of us didn’t have cell phones. Your work reminded me of my love for internal medicine, and I look forward to listening to more episodes. And you are more entertaining and fun than much that is advertised as entertainment. Certainly more meaningful. Thank you so much! Life is better with you.

Goals of care during Covid-19 ( episode 64)
Loved the topic and the explanation by Dr Amrapali and Dr. about goals of care! Focusing on the process rather than the outcome helps the Doctor to maintain the stability of emotion required to keep delivering quality care to many patients!
