Been listening off and on for a while! Really love the research and effort you guys put into this

I actually found you guys through swish, and Flick, when Mr. E. Kirk was subbing for Tiffany while she was doing her maternity leave. And I loved you on swish also. I just started listening and I’m already obsessed, however, I have not read the books I’ve only seen the shows and I’ve watched them three times from the beginning until the end. And I’m literally cracking up at how wrong all of you are about how the show turns out, lol. Every time when you all speculate on who’s going live or die…I’m like, wrong! Nope! 😂 But anyway, I am super stoked to finally get to go through the books with you guys, and keep up the great work!

That’s all people want. 1 hour of you chatting about the episode you’re on. Not sure why that’s hard. Isn’t that why Ezra left the podcast? That he couldn’t do that every week? Why can’t Matt and Jimmy do that?

I love the show and all the conversations you guys have, but PLEASE stop talking about the prospective Snow show…it’s damaged goods and I’m actually surprised you guys even entertain the idea of such garbage fan fiction being made to further damage asoiaf lore. Just let GoT die and talk about the books, and shows that are actually going to exist

Came across this podcast a couple of months ago and finally started subscribing. Appreciate the thoughtful conversations and predictions.

Every time I turn on this podcast I feel like I’m in a book club with friends talking about the lore we love so much. This has always been a book club first podcast so all of these bad reviews about spoilers on the show are ridiculous. Binge Mode/Ringer-verse type shows are cool, but this is the one I go to for the feeling on camaraderie.

All you do is spoil and then go oh I haven’t watched the season 10 preview so don’t tell me I ain’t watching it and I want it to be knew… meanwhile all you do is tell us characters arcs what’s to come etc y’all need to do better you RUUUINED THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!

I like this podcast but they act as if everyone has read the books and sometimes give spoilers. Cast Of Kings makes a point to say they will not be spoiling with the books. Would be a bit better to have a solid book spoiler warning so we can skip ahead. I do sometimes listen because they’re really good at getting the episode out the day after the show comes out.

Thank you for pronouncing names properly!!!!!!! It’s a terribly huge pet peeve of mine and SO many other podcasts same the names wrong and it drives me absolutely mad lol. Definitely makes you a favorite haha

I’ve listened to a lot of GOT podcast, and these guys are so gleefully into the show that it makes their reviews even more fun! Keep on delivering the funny, interesting recaps, guys :)

I’m in the market for a new GOT podcast and enjoyed the first two episodes. The beginning if the new show is so exciting and it was fun to hear from people who live and breathe GOT at a deeper level - that’s why I listen to podcasts. Episode 2 definitely had spoiler adjacent stuff - but also not a huge logical leap which we are watching a show that has had many character alliance shifts and the red wedding. Congrats on the (not red) wedding and I know it’s a little chaotic since the normal crew isn’t around. I was excited to hear a female guest in the show… until Ezra explained the episode they both had just watched for over an hour to her. The literal blow by blow of each scene was very frustrating to listen to because I also just watched the episode - I’m looking for reactions, speculation not one hour of recap. I like the idea of having people in podcast who haven’t read the book because it will cut down on accidental spoilers but that doesn’t mean they should be the object of so much explanation. So, I’m still trying out other podcasts and so far like this one the best and will listen to a few more but yikes that last one was rough.

I gave you five stars because I haven’t listened to all of your podcast and I don’t want to do anything that mess up your numbers.But listening to the beginning of your episode three review where you talked about Queen Elizabeth dying was painful. You’re a teacher and you have no idea about how Queen Elizabeth became the queen and the abdication of her uncle? I’m sorry, but you and your wife sounded like serious idiots. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, don’t talk about it!

Really enjoy this podcast however you are giving away too much for people like me that haven’t read the books. Please stop or I will be forced to stop listening.

Full of “uhh ugh ugh I don’t know”. Seem to have little knowledge of the lore. They let their fan boy flag fly too high with little criticism of what went wrong with the show. The cold switches to add with the volume of them jacked up is horrible. Announce your commercials. Hard pass

I used to love this podcast. Reliable weekly to biweekly product. I love that they love ASOIF and theories. However they seemed to have abandoned that outline to cover nonsense regarding the new shows and you tube content. I don’t care for you tube as I can’t listen while I do other things. I was a patreon supporter but can no longer support this format. I hope you can find a home and audience for your content going forward… if you go back to a reread I’ll be there.

I absolutely love this podcast! I’ve been listening since 2019 on a weekly basis. The hosts, Ser Ezra and Ser Matt, have a great dynamic and keep me entertained. I used to really like this series. I think the first couple years are pretty good. But later on in the series, I kind of feel like they’re hitting the same problem that the HBO showrunners had: running out of material. Honestly, I feel like they’re just saying things to say them now. No, guys, Ser Alliser Thorne is NEVER gonna be on Jon’s side. Come on. Come on.

Despite them being buckeye fans, and all around horrible sports fans, they run a very okay show. Just okay.

This podcast is amazing if you love a song of ice and fire. Love to listen while driving. Keep up the good work.

I am an avid lover of the books. I have read them countless times and I never have anyone to discuss them with. After working to find a podcast I really liked, I came across Bend the Knee. I love the dynamic of these guys and how they are quick to point out the differences of book to show, no matter how subtle. Great job guys!

I love listening to this podcast! The hosts have established a great structure and their convo flows easily, you feel like you’re hanging out with your actual friends trading GoT theories. I also like that their main focus is the books but they never hesitate to reference the show. It’s a fun reminder that I’m not the only one waiting on pins and needles for Winds if Winter 😆

This podcast is PERFECT for people new to the ASOIAF universe and for those ASOIAF fans that lost their excitement for it during this Long Night waiting for TWOW. If you are looking for a fun podcast that makes you laugh and you can feel a part of then this podcast is for you. This isn’t a scripted ASOIAF encyclopedia podcast but one that will entertain you with both good and sometimes even crazy theories that you will enjoy. I have never written a review but I had to write one for Bend The Knee because in times like these everyone needs some laughs and fun in their day.

after having read through the series, this time around i wanted to dive deeper and this is the perfect podcast for doing just that. huge thanks to the guys keeping up with this huge commitment, hope to see it thru to the end!

Ez and Matt are wonderful hosts who curate content which is digestible to anyone from a new ASOIAF fan, to someone so obsessed that there literally isn’t enough content for you. I earnestly feel as though I am listening into “my boys,” “my buddies,” “my friends with an exorbitant, individual, and deeply intriguing POV,” on the mastery that is GRRM’s writing. Subscribe, my sweet summer child ❤️

I gave this podcast a lot of opportunities, but I finally had to throw in the towel when one of the guys said that he felt Cersei got a raw deal because she played the game better than anyone else. Cersei is a character who notoriously makes shortsighted decisions that end up backfiring on her and others around her, including her family. The High Sparrow is one of the best examples of her stupidity. Another thing is the lack of intellectual honesty. They defend so much of the show when it doesn’t make sense. I’m not looking for a spit on everything about the show podcast, but I’m not looking for a fan-tasting nothing is wrong podcast either. I thought that at least they had good insights in the books in the beginning, but that kind of fell away as well. I’ve listened to dozens of their podcasts to give it a fair chance, but I think it’s finally time to sign off.

Absolutely love this podcast. I’m coming into it late and skipped forward to when it became BTK. I’m completely obsessed with GOT both book and show. This podcast is such a helpful, thought provoking exploration of the realm of Westeros. I love being able to listen to these deep dives about the series and have the chance to have certain things explained better and more in depth. Keep it coming!!

These guys are true fans who can be critical but still positive which I believe is lacking in many fandoms it’s really refreshing to hear.

I’m so glad I found this podcast just as Season 8 was ending and I wasn’t ready to let go of the GOT universe. I haven’t read the books - I spent a lot of time on the wiki during the first seasons and I do plan to read the books one day. For now I’m loving Ser Matt’s and Ser Ezra’s in depth break downs. Love the format, love the fact that it’s a community, love listening in to these two friends’ weekly chats. Thank you!

I just found this podcast during season 8 of the show. The reread is great because i haven’t read the books and feel too intimidated to try to start them, I’d rather listen to others analyze them for me :)

This is a great Podcast for anyone that is starting to read the books for the first time or for those reading the books again. Ser Matt and Ezra put together a great show!

These guys know what they're doing! I've been listening to these guys since Dec of 2018 and I haven't missed an episode. They know their Song of Ice and Fire knowledge! Hands down one of my fav pocasts ever. I look forward to every week of new content and its worth it to contribute to their Patreon. There is an amazing Facebook community and the hosts allow participants to send in thoughts about the books. This Podcast is a whole group effort, or you can just listen in week to week.

I came across BTK just before the final season of GOT. I really enjoyed experiencing the show along with Sir Matt and Sir Ezra’s discussions and predictions. Now that GOT is over this has filled the void and I have joined the re-reads and always eager for new episodes. Grateful for all they do!

I started listening to the podcast while watching last season of the show. I recently started reading the booms and the reread has been a compliment as i go through the books.

I have been listening to Bend the Knee for several months now after going back and listening to every episode up until now. I enjoy listening to Matt and Ezra give their thoughts as well as BTK supporter’s thoughts on many different Song of Ice and Fire characters, theories, and musings. While I do love the podcast, they tend to get caught up on certain subjects and characters again and again, most especially with Bloodraven/Brynden Rivers/Three eyed crow/raven. And of course he is a very important character and plays an extremely crucial role in the story I dread when there is a Jon/Bran chapter in the reread because I know the subject will shift over to Bloodraven. While it might be nitpicking, I would just really enjoy hearing some new content on some of the other characters once in a while rather than constantly rehashing the same theories and discussion on one character. Thanks for what you do, guys, I always eagerly await the next upload!

I started listening to a variety of GOT podcasts right before the start of season 8. I stumbled across these guys and really enjoy what they had to say. They opened my eyes to o so many different perspectives on what could/should happen or reference back to the foreshadowing of the book. They actually inspired me to read the books. I love the podcast so much they I have gone back to listen to their re-read from 2018.

I joined for S8 and stayed for the re-read. I really appreciate the time and energy you both but into this. It’s casual, yet passionate and caring. You’ve created a wonderful community. Bravo!
