I’ve been listening since the beginning and this show never gets old. It keeps getting better. I look forward to it every single week! Highly recommend going to the live shows if you can.

Anonymous is a "thing". The host has blurbs and commercials that skip. So hosts and sponsors have remained anon. And still....

This show is a gem. Love hearing everything about random, normal people. It’s worth the listen.

I’ve been listening to Beautiful Anonymous for over five years now. A lot of podcasts these days are heavily produced, quickly edited with click-bait titles. There’s nothing wrong with them, but if you want a breath of fresh air, listen to Beautiful Anonymous. Being able to listen to unstaged & unproduced real human stories is quite a powerful thing. I would recommend this podcast to anyone in my life.

Chris’s interviews provide a beautiful view into the many facets of being human in today’s world.

I can’t believe I’m just barely finding this podcast! I came across it two weeks ago and am hooked! I can’t stop listening! Chris is so caring and compassionate and I love his dark humor as I am a little dark myself! Maybe one day I’ll call in. I have a few pretty unbelievable stories myself!

I’m getting tired of all the calls being pretty much the same. All liberals who talk bad about politics and Catholics, including Chris. They advocate for diversity but it’s truly all the same. I’m all for people have different opinions and beliefs. But can you stop being insensible and spreading misinformation when it comes to other people’s religion? I won’t be listening again.

The callers bring such a variety of human experience, feelings, thoughts, perspectives, situations. Chris makes it all happen as host, bringing thoughtfulness, humor, compassion and more to every conversation.

Beautiful insight of different lifestyles people have around the world. Raw honest conversations. Chris knows how to connect with his callers and make them feel comfortable. Love love love this podcast!!

I’ve been listening to the show since early on and still love listening! Ever since the move to independent, there’s been a bit of an decrease in audio quality on Chris. I’m a fellow audio engineer, so this is more directed at Andrea/whoever edits the shows now. IZotope RX De-Clip will do wonders for those few times Chris shouts at a caller and it distorts his channel! Love the show!

This podcast has kept me company for years - all through undergrad and grad school and into the real world. I got onto the pod last summer and it was such a cool experience. Give it a listen, give it a try. ✨

I have been a listener on and off since almost the beginning. This is the podcast I come to when I need a pick me up! Funny or inspiring or difficult, each episode is unique and lovely. Chris is down to earth and a masterful conversationalist. For some stretches of life I’ve listened weekly as episodes drop, and for some I’ve let the episodes pile up and binge them all at once down the road. This recent stretch of episodes have been amazing and I have been waiting for each new one to drop! B/A has been playing in the background through many life stages and events! Thank you!!

Chris Gethard is the BEST

I have been listening since Ron Paul’s Baby! This podcast never disappoints. I think I like it even more now that it’s gone independent. Love Chris, love this community, love the guests. Just wanted to drop some love!

Chris is one of the best people around. He is so real and relatable. He is non judgmental but also asks the right questions and isn’t afraid to share thoughts. Calls are fun to somewhat strange but it’s what keeps it interesting. Thank you for all you do to normalize mental health and for promoting therapy.

The shows lately have gone downhill. From the callers to Chris the content has been subpar.

We all need a little more empathy and sharing stories is one of the best ways to practice this.

Me encanta! I am one of those people that stopped listening 2 years ago no because it wasn’t good but because I need a break from listening to heartache or other people’s stories but I am back and glad Cheis is going solo on this , you deserve the best !

Heard Chris G on another podcast and was intrigued, started from the 2016 episodes and I’m hooked. Incredible show. Sometimes silly, sometimes heavy, always real.

This show is truly something special. I truly love it so much, it brings me so much joy, I learn so much and I’m able to connect to other people in a way I never thought possible. Chris Gethard is just such a kind, amazing and really honest person and I can not get enough of him and this show. My one gripe is people feeling like they need to apologize to Sally for swearing, to me they are just words and everyone truly swears, it’s real and if I ever get on, I’ll die and I don’t plan on apologizing for being myself, lol.

That is all, listen to it. It’s great.

The first episode I listened to was Old School Hippie. I loved the conversation and the rapport between the host and the caller. I was delighted because I’ve been looking for a new go-to podcast, and there’s such a huge back catalogue of Beautiful Anonymous. But then I listened to the first 2/3s of Lean Mean and Serene. I guess I should have just Marked as Played early in the episode when the caller cited her exact weight and claimed her title as Lean Mean and Serene. I agree with another reviewer that this caller seemed manipulative. The love-fest that Seth warned listeners about just seemed gross once the caller launched into evangelizing about her 12-step program that’s all about weighing and measuring food and strictly controlling your weight. (A set-up? Love bombing? The caller clearly had an agenda.) Anyway I exited the episode then. I’m taking a break from the whole podcast. Such a promising find but this episode was so disappointing.

Just discovered this podcast a couple weeks ago. Omg how have I not known about this!! I’m listening to new ones obviously, but I’m starting from the beginning… I have so many to listen to!! I’m so grateful 🤗❤️

I absolutely love this podcast. It sounds like such a simple concept but it's so hard to get it right I would say. Only Chris can make this work because he is incredibly empathetic and emotionally insightful. Keep this podcast going forever!!

I consider Chris’s show to be my weekly lesson on listening with compassion and staying curious in the company of others. He may be a comedian first but I feel his true gift is modeling humanity, one story at a time. Teach me more Mr Gethard! Thank you for getting me through Covid!

This show always delivers. I’m constantly taken with Gethard’s ability to probe, empathize and find joy in almost ANY topic of discussion, even when they are occasionally difficult or traumatic. LOVE this show. LOVE this guy. (Sidenote: I can’t be the only one thinking we missed an opportunity to call the convention Beautiful Aconymous.)

Geth is great but most of the callers are pretty poor story tellers unfortunately so it’s usually really slow paced.

My great new podcast discovery. I like the random unknown of each unscripted episode. Very fresh and different. Currently listening to the Wildfire Evacuation episode and it’s only 5 minutes in and so emotional for me. I’ll be bingeing this podcast.

Omg just listened to the Wedding Murder episode and oh boy I did *not* see that coming!!🤯🤯 Without trying to spoil the episode, I’m suggesting a Parade Girl playlist be made.

It was too dry for me, its like an listening in on someone elses phone conversation (yawn). A lot of rambling on about pointless stuff.

I tend to gravitate to health conscious podcasts and such. This is not one of those and I always keep it in my rotation of podcasts. I love hearing stories of other people and exploring their lives for an hour at a time. I think Chris navigates some very difficult conversations with an immense amount of grace. I’m highly impressed in his ability to hold space for the listeners and keep the conversation moving along for entertainment.

I started listening to Beautiful/Anonymous when an episode was shared on This American Life, back in 2016, and for 7 years I’ve looked forward to each new episode release every week. Other podcasts have come and gone from my subscription library over the years, but the ever-changing conversation with Chris and his guests always keeps me eager for what’s next. Over the years, Chris has refined his interview skills, but the spontaneous, raw, funny, and at times, delicate dialogue that makes this show so great, remains. It is not only entertaining, but has become an essential piece of my weekly routine — a good laugh, a cry, a moment to learn something new, or a reminder that our world is, in fact, beautiful. Ps. Sorry Chris for waiting so long to post a review.
