Why does the host sound so salty
I’ve listened to nearly every episode in hopes of gleaning ideas and skills for my classroom, but I have reached a stopping point. The host sounds so burned out. The down trodden tone is a buzz kill. I get it—teaching is hard, but lighten up a little.

Love the POD Cast!
I must say this is one of the most enjoyable podcasts I have had the pleasure of listening to. The host Tim Bogatz, weaves his conversations and topics with a wit and charm that one could only expect from a creative mind not only at the forefront of America’s ART culture today, but also leading it to greater heights. Definitely an easy listen, and worth the time for anyone who dreams of being involved In The ARTS, whatever form you choose.

Needs a makeover
I want to like this but I prefer everyday art room. I am really tired of pontificating cis white men on podcasts. I know you have cohosts but often there is still a main host vibe. Let go a bit Tim. Your voice doesn’t need to be the strongest one.

Listened to one so far…
I have been an art teacher for only 3 years and just in the first episode related with everything that was said. I feel like the podcast knew what I needed to hear. Everything they brought up I say in class every year. Will keep listening and see where is takes me.

Helpful, but here are some tips
I’ve listened from episode 1 to 32 so far and I’m really enjoying them. I’ve been inspired by much of what I’ve heard. The one issue I have is that they are pretty young and appear to lack some life experiences. Life happens. Sometimes, “negativity” is unavoidable if a teacher is struggling with heavy issues at home or if the workplace itself is negative. Teachers are not martyrs and shouldn’t be shamed for not being full of joy through the grieving process or through a hostile work environment. I think it’s okay to look forward to retirement-it doesn’t mean you hate your job, it just means you look forward to spending more time with your family or crating art or traveling, etc. This is not to say that these guys shame anyone; they do not, but they do sound just a bit too judgmental and lean a bit towards the “teachers are martyrs” and “we didn’t sign up for teaching to get rich”. They aren’t bad, but these are just my sore spots and they are guilty of going there. Also, if an artwork isn’t good, using the word “dog” is a poor analogy in my opinion. These are just small annoyances. Otherwise, I enjoy this podcast and will continue to finish all of them! I do find much of the content helpful!

Can’t Get Enough....
I look forward to each week for the latest podcast! AE has put together a phenomenal resource with all that is offered. I joined about a year ago and continue to find more nuggets for my classroom. You make teaching a pleasure. Thank you for your drive to put this resource out there for art teachers.

I really wanted to like this
I really wanted to like this, I've been subscribed to it for a few months and occasionally listen to episodes but I haven't been listening for awhile and recently went back to it. I listened to the graffiti episode, I was excited about this because I think it's a great way to get inner city kids interested in art in their every day lives, but t was discouraging that the featured teacher said she starts with banks and Shepard fairey. I don't know true demographics of her students, but regardless, these white men did not invent graffiti. And they only popularized it because they are white. Students in the inner city should be able to learn about how really their culture (especially in LA) influenced and spurred graffiti worldwide. Overall this podcast isn't bad, I don't like the host personally, but it's nice that the episodes are short. A lot of the ideas on the podcasts don't seem new or fresh to me and I wish there was more innovation especially in a podcast about art ed.

Thank you
Thank you so much for a wonderful podcast. I have listened to several episodes now, and really enjoy all of them. I work in a title I district with only a few art teachers that are stretched very thin over a population of 4000 students. I often feel like an isolated island, and I tended to fall into a rut during this, my eighth year of teaching. This podcast has helped me to reimagine and reevaluate myself and my classroom. I think that with this encouragement and ideas, I can find the motivation to continue.

Carpool with Andrew and Tim
I love that these two hosts carpool with me on a regular basis. Okay, not truly but I do love listening to them on my commute to work. I have learned so much from their discussions and appreciate the work they do to bring this podcast to artists all over the world.

LOVE this podcast!
It can feel lonely as an art teacher sometimes and leave wondering what other art teachers do. This podcast helps eliminate some of that wondering and helps you feel closer to a whole community.

Wonderful Resource
This is such a great resource for teachers! I really enjoy the "real-life" aspect of the show. The classroom examples are great. Very relevant to everyday in the art room.

Great podcast for art teachers!
New listener here (in fact, I'm a new podcast junkie in general) and I'm enjoying this one for the tips I can use in my work with kids. Definitely better to learn from other art teachers' processes than to start from scratch with my own mistakes. Highly recommend.

Ridiculously Relevant
A must-listen for all art teachers, this podcast talks about art class issues from the perspective of the teachers. The hosts are easy to listen to, and totally relatable. I've heard so many great ideas here. It really gets me thinking about my teaching. I feel enriched but not stressed when I think about work this way.

Glad this exists, but sometimes frustrated
Pros: I have definitely gotten new ideas from this podcast and felt inspired. Glad that the conversation is largely conceptual and not just project descriptions. Cons: the viewpoint is stated at the beginning and does not evolve throughout the episode. The questions are leading in an obvious way instead of genuine discussion. I work at a high poverty inner city school, and it seems that the teachers interviewed work in wealthy areas with lots of technology and low behavior issues. It would be nice if that were at least acknowledged. For example: I can't digitize grading because I can't assume my students have a computer at home. Would be great to hear from a teacher from a similar context.

Love this podcast!
I’m not actually the target demographic (I’m an adult learner not a K-12 teacher) but the topics covered all provide an opportunity for me to explore from the student side. I love the hosts and their guests and look forward to every episode.

Just got a chance to listen to the podcast (Can Intrinsic Motivation Be Developed? (Ep. 010)) where I had the opportunity to join in the conversation. I have listened to every one of these thus far. I loved hearing about color theory, and ‘things art teachers hate’. These podcasts are often playing the background of my creative life as I paint, sew, or draw. They also might be found playing in the background of my mundane life where I clean the art room sinks (again), or unclog the glue bottles, or untangle the yarn. Yep, this podcast is motivation, humor, and feeds this art teachers brain. Thanks Tim, Andrew and AOE!

Couldn’t Be Better!
This show is just incredible. The hosts are awesome, and Tim’s voice is tailor-made for radio. I could listen to him talk all day :) I love how relevant and timely the episodes are. They make you think, and they make you want to teach better. they are perfect for art teachers at every level, and I would recommend that you give them a listen.
