Too many poker podcasts are gears toward pro’s or semi pro’s. These guys are geared toward the casual player.

Scott really needs to reduce saying “ummmmm,” “uhhhhhh” and other filler words as I simply cannot listen to this anymore, and I love poker. I realize you haven’t been trained in this field, but silent pauses are okay. There doesn’t need to be a constant stream of noise coming out. There aren’t many poker podcasts out there and you could become the most dominant one in a big way if you polish this up. Best of luck to you.

I enjoy the banter.

I really enjoyed the speakers but the hand breakdown at the end of big pot big mistake was a mess. Neither commentator made much sense when discussing a turn decision and ended up being horribly wrong about the outcome. The original speaker suggested folding an additional 140 into 500+ on a 7883 cc board... even if V had TJ we’re getting odds to call here. 88 or 99 are the only real coolers, plus there are a ton of worse hands that can shove this.

I have listen to this podcast for a long time. Chris and Scott can be very funny and always keep the show informative. They do a good job keeping up with poker news, hand analyzing and keeping the show fun. It’s worth a listen

By far my favorite poker podcast and close to my favorite of all topic podcasts. They use a good use of humor and knowledge in the name of everyday poker players. They don’t speak over the listeners head and acknowledge they aren’t the best players, but utilize their hand of the week segments to discuss various plays and the benefits of each. Huge fan and hope they continue to go for years, cause it’s a go to for me weekly.

I've been a long time listener of this podcast and throughout the past couple of years, the overall quality has suffered. The strategy conversations (both in HotW and OM) are lackluster at best, with most thoughtful players being able to reason better. Most lately, however, the podcast has been suffering from a distraction of self promotion and advertising without an increase in content. In fact, during the busiest poker season of the year, the hosts decided to record episodes in advance in order to take a vacation. I'm disappointed. I used to throughly enjoy this podcast as a regular staple in my listening diet, however, with Pokernews and Two Plus Two (amongst others), I'm left leaving listening to Ante Up as a last resort. I only leave this review with the hope that the show will make improvements to reclaim its glory. Thanks. William Beyer

I have listened to this show since episode 1. I just realized that I had;t reviewed the show before, and I was shocked. SHOCKED! If I had a time machine, I would go back and give Scott and Chris a 5 star review and an awesome review 5 years ago. What was I thinking! This is the only poker show that I can listen to and feel completely educated and entertained. Rock on, boys! You’re a permanent fixture in my podcast rotation.

Funny entertaining a must listen!!!!

I've listened to a lot of poker shows, but this one is far above the rest when it comes to entertainment. The guys aren't pros but they are fun and have great hand analysis from guests and regulars like Lee Childs. Simply awesome show!!!

Excellent show with great analysis, news updates and pro interviews. This podcast has become one of the few podcasts I listen to on a regular basis due to the quality and good nature of te guys broadcasting. Great job Scott and Chris!!

Horrific. This is a bad morning radio show meets circumcision with a butter knife. These guys fake laughing at each others "jokes" is physically painful. I ever tried listening to several episodes before I formed my opinion. If you like poker this will only infuriate you as you will feel duped into downloading it. Its free to download but still too pricey for what it is. Avoid.

Love the show guys. Iv listend to alot of poker casts and u guys are the best. Only complaint is it's not long enough. Keep up the good work.

I recenly discovered this show and have since listened to all there old episodes. I find it refreshing that you don't have to be a poker pro to relate to what they are talking about. Also love the weekly hand history review, this is the only podcast that I know of were they actually go into poker strategy. The Only complaint i have is that the sound level between the two host is off so I find myself turning up the volume to hear one then turning it back down cuz the other is now to loud, but that's a small complaint on an otherwise awesome podcast.

Fun, Insightful, Well Rounded. If you are interested in the game of poker, this is the definative show to for you. From Texas Hold'em to Kansas City Lowball, Chris and Scott are the guys to give you the winning edge.

The best poker podcast going - bar none. You don't have to be a poker hardcore or high stakes player to enjoy this one. It's educational and always funny. Although it is based in Florida and contains some local news, I live about 4,000 miles away don't mind the occasional Florida references. Great guests and entertaining recurring segments. This show is not centered on hold 'em. The guys cover all the games and is always fresh.

This is one of just a couple poker podcasts that I regularly listen to. They have really good info and guests.

These guys are hilarious! Just average guys who love poker and have found a way to communicate that love to their listeners without being condescending or esoteric. They have great segments (I love the "Banter" segment with stories of Scott's escapades in parking garages and border crossings) and very well done interviews with pros and industry representatives. The "One Minute Mysteries" are well done by their contributer, Colombo. I love the guest appearances by Mike Fasso (Fat-so), Joe Navarro, and Cowboy Kenna James (put a brat on the BBQ for me!) They cover cash games and tournaments, all the variations of poker from hold'em to razz (Let's Play Razz!), which is a refreshing change of pace from those shows that seem to only concentrate on no-limit hold'em tournament play. I highly recommend listening. Go back to their original podcast that they started when they were at the Tampa Bay Times/St. Petersburg Times (just called Ante Up, I believe) and listen from the beginning. Their first few podcasts were a bit rough, but within a relatively short while they found their stride and have been delivering great poker entertainment ever since.

Chris and Scott have continue to attract the top names in poker to their show. Great interviews, great show with a personal touch.

Love the show guys but I will say that it does sound as if you guys are talking in a public bathroom. Some audio adjustments are in order.

I just recently found you guys on your old podcast and I'm happy for your new adventure! You guys are funny and interesting. Keep up the good work. I'll have to catch up with the last 3 years of podcasts--whew! I've got my work cut out for me!

I discovered this podcast about six months ago and enjoy it very much. It's nice to hear the regular poker player talk about their experiences. Good job guys.

I've been listening from day 1 and the passion this guys have for the game, also show in the podcast. Irreverent, funny and informative, I truly advise you to listen to them!

I cant wait for the new show and all the new oppertunity that it will bring to its hosts. My rating is not 5 of 5 just 'cause the podcast has had and will have a local-to-Florda target audience. But the poker speak and intervuews, their sound quality and professionalism is great.
