The first time I heard one of Shaman Durek’s podcast episode I was literally feeling so down and again lost as well again confused about well life you know….in the one I listened to as I literally searched for things like “love, loving me, powerful, encouragement, something along the lines” I clicked on a Ancient Wisdom Today episode and he was saying things like how if no one has told me yet, I am amazing, powerful, so loved and etc etc. I felt it all and feel so genuinely grateful that I was supported, guided the way I did because I needed the love, uplifting message & encouragement. Afterwards I just listened more & wow I’m literally gaining so much wisdom, insight on spirit hacks & so much more!!! He’s really here guiding us to further step into our power, to remember, be along side us and beyond. I feel so grateful for his existence, what he does and the love that he so unconditionally pours out into the world and into all of us💕🌼🦋

I love Shaman Durek however I’m giving 3 stars because you have to be cautious even with the people you align with when they interview people like Dr. Diva Nugura... If you’re healing from body trauma, lack of food resources, and/or any other type of body discrimination, be very discerning even with podcasts that you admire and that help you. Food is not medicine! That’s a dangerous mindset that we have been taught. Food is nourishment & NOT a moral measurement! So when “experts” discuss food as being good or bad, I have to say STOP! This mindset is what leads to restriction, diets, and eventually disorder around your body, mind, and soul! I think functional & integrative medicine is on the right track but they do NOT study eating disorders which is a mental health issue that’s a modern issue because of diet-culture mentality! All this to say, take any podcast particularly the spiritual ones because some of the topics can be quite privileged and uninformed around mental health issues! Anything that leads you toward extremes is something that needs to be examined! Fruits & veggies are great for us but they don’t heal diseases! They support us nutritionally! And anytime you hear carbs are bad for you, RUN! Your brain needs carbs to function well, that’s simply physiology! Please doctors & dietitians, study eating disorders & check your privilege before you speak! Again, I love many of SD’s episodes but we’re all spirits living human lives & mistakes can be made!

I love the new format of monologue, listener share, discussion with guest, then beautifully closed with reflection by Shaman Durek. It is such a complete package of wisdom and reality and I always receive so much more from listening than I anticipate. Sometimes it takes me days to listen to a whole episode and even weeks will go by before I get to the last section of it and I’m always so thankful that I listened to every last drop. It’s all so good. Also highly recommend the Healing Temple bc it is just as amazing and relevant to your life.

This is the author of the book “Spirit Hacking” whom expressly states we are sheep people to the mainstream media conglomerates who try to get us to buy whatever shiny new thing to keep us enslaved to “the Matrix”. Our force of will is weak, and we can learn to grow and evolve if we can just have a stronger will. I’m disheartened to see all the advertising on this podcast. It begs the question of hypocrisy, regardless if advertising support this podcast in some way, that I’m no longer concerned with reading or recommended the author’s aforementioned book.

You don’t have to like what he says but if you’re truly on a journey to find yourself, why not start with a blank slate and let Shaman D teach the lesson. I started with his book before I knew anything about him and I’d follow him into the dark.
