Well some of them. Their opinions are decently argued and thought out…so of course I don’t always agree. But I’ve listened to three years of Superior/Amazing in three months to hear enough to support them on patreon and thoroughly recommend to anyone who enjoys a character centric analysis and discussion of Peter Parker.

I have loved Marvels for years, and had literally no one to talk to to discuss individual story arcs or the wonderful talents of John Romita Jr or Sr! Thank you for existing and I have homework to do, read the comic and then listening to each of the episodes. I really enjoy hearing other peoples take on the beloved WebHead. Simply put, the BEST Spider-Man podcast going!

These two keep this show straight forward and on rails. Unlike other long running spidey podcasts I never feel the need to turn it off because 5 people are talking over one another trying to say the same thing in 5 different ways. Been listening since the superior days right as I graduated high school at 19 and now I’m almost 30 with a job and a house and these guys have been the background of my life for 10 years.

Entertaining and insightful. Sincere and careful criticism from the hosts - not two guys on a mic looking to outdo each other or gin up false outrage. Straightforward and insightful discussion from two fans. Comics creator interviews are a highlight. If you enjoy Spider-Man you’ll love this show.

Not only do you get thoughtful comic reviews that consider the writing, art, and storytelling on their own merits (and don’t just judge whether they fulfill fanboy fantasies), you also get insightful interviews with industry legends, thorough histories of Spider-Man across media, and the best breakdowns of the most nonsensical stories in Spider-history!

Mark, Dan, and their incredibly talented guests do a ton of work to give you a thoughtful and well researched opinion on Spider-Man’s various comics, films, and more. There real passion but also scholarly analysis. One of the best podcasts around.

Dan and Mark are the best! Fair and balanced, super entertaining, it feels like sitting around with a couple of like minded friends that really know their stuff (Spidey, storytelling, comics, and otherwise). A lot of fun for any Spidey reader that wants to hear intelligent discourse on the latest issue none of your real life friends care about lol. This podcast, and the super positive Slack community they’ve set up for the fans that love it, are a continual source of joy for me. 5+ stars! I got into the podcast after I picked up Mark’s book a few years back (highly recommend) and now I can’t imagine going on a drive without listening. The amount of knowledge and passion Mark and Dan have for the character is incredible. Its difficult to have in depth conversations about the web-head with the people in my life, so being able to hear two friends dissect spider-man’s mythology is always a joy. It makes me feel proud to be apart of this community.

Not a single episode spider man (Peter Parker in case you didn’t know who it was) never appears in any episodes not even one! When I first saw this and I thought “hey maybe spidey made his own podcast like Doreen Green (aka squirrel girl) did!” Apparently when I heard the first episode I was disappointed.

If you want to take your Spider-Man fandom to the next level, I highly recommend checking out this amazing podcast. Listening to these two guys talk about everything Spider-Man (comics, movies, etc) has been a welcome periodic respite from the drear and dread of these COVID times in which we’re living. And they’ve fostered a wonderful and welcoming community of Spidey fans in their affiliated Slack: the Amazing Spider-Slack. Top notch stuff - five stars doesn’t do it justice.

This is a great podcast. Both hosts are funny and intelligent and have great observations and detailed conversations that I really enjoy. They know their history and continually point out things that I didn't notice or fully understand when reading an issue. Perfect for the Spider-Man lover that really wants to have these type of deep conversations but can't in a world full of J. Jonah Jamesons. Keep up the good work!

The hosts offer a great blend of geekiness and approachability, making this a great show for Spider-Man fans of all sorts. They offer enough minutiae to educate even hardcore collectors but are charming enough to know what trivia is actually interesting and fun to talk about. The focus is definitely on official Spider-Man comics, movies, collectibles, toys, and video games, but I like that the hosts get goofy and creative to let their own personalities come through. When you add in great interviews with creatives from every aspect of Spider-Man’s story, this show is sure to deepen anyone’s love of the greatest character ever created!

I absolutly love Spider-Man and and currently trying to collect every single issue of Amazing Spider-Man but i have to said the annuals do not count apart from 1 and 21. This podcast has been such a blast to listen to, giving us great reviews of storylines, issue reviews, and interviews with Spider-Man creators. My only complaint is that i'm going to run out of back issue poscasts too soon listening to Dan and Mark on Amazing Spider-Talk 8hrs a day during my work week. I wish i could give this poscast more then 5 stars because it is so good it deseerves way more then five. Keep up the good work Dan and Mark I look forward to each new podcast as it comes out!!

If you love Spider-Man, this is a fantastic podcast to listen to. I've been listening to it for about a year and a half and always find the conversations engaging, fun, and very fair even if they criticize the work. It's a great companion to reading the issues they cover, highly recommended!

I just discovered this podcast a week or so ago. I'd been going back through my longbox of old ASM issues after recently deciding to pick up a few new ones from the store. I was poking around the internet, so see what kind of fan resources were out there, and came across this podcast. I'm now burning this candle at both ends - listening to the newest episodes, while also starting back at the beginning and working my way forward. It's great! So glad I found a couple of guys talking about this like adults, adding a new layer of analysis to the cultural touchstone that is Amazing Spider-Man - gives me even more to enjoy abput one of my favorite things! I am a longtime Spider-Man fan and always enjoy a good discussion about the ol’ web-slinger. And it doesn’t get any better than this! Thoughtful and critical discussion that delve deeper into the Spider-Man continuity, and his impact on both comics and pop culture. They truly understand what makes the character such an important icon and the inspiration for over 60 years of stories. A must listen for Spider-Man fans new and old!

Easily my favorite Marvel comic book podcasts. You can tell the hosts really put their heart into their work. The love for Spider-Man is evidence and you can tell they really enjoy talking about the characters. If I could give 6 stars I would!

Really enjoy this podcast. The hosts are both knowledgeable and have great chemistry with each other. Love the new format with exploring Spidey eras in depth and seeing how the character has evolved. No, no, it’s not the ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN podcast, that’d be Ultimate Spin. What you’ve got here is the best Spider-Man related podcast that you could wish for. Dan and Mark know their stuff better than any human being should ever be expected to; these men live Spider-Man comic books and their deep well of information shows that fact well. As someone who has read a lot of classic Spider-Man comics, these guys fill in all the underlying details and provide amazing (wink, wink) facts that never fail to surprise and enlighten me about my favorite comic book character. Easily the pod I get most excited about when it appears in my feed. Plus Dan and Mark are incredibly responsive on Twitter, and are always free to accept feedback, give recommendations, and just talk about Spider-Man stuff. Give it a listen, you won’t regret establishing this web.

I found this podcast about 6 months ago, and since then I've listened to almost all of the episodes. This is an Amazing podcast (Pun not intended) and I would recomend it to anyone, especially if they love Spider-man! Keep up the great work guys, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this Amazing podcast!

During the Clone Conspiracy I was turned onto this podcast by a random link that was sent to me while perusing CBR and I initially listened out of want to hear what other longtime fans thought (i’ve been collecting for 20+ years now) and while I didn’t agree with 80% of what Mark and Dan thought about that particular arc, I LOVED their essentials list. If you’ve never read Spider-Man before or are just looking to read the lesser known greatest hits, you HAVE TO check their list of essentials out. Anyways, after I completed the essentials list, I went delved deeper into their catalog (only 4 podcasts left now!) and have enjoyed this show immensely. Sure, the early episodes may have some small rough spots, but they are so worth sticking with to see the evolution of both Mark and Dan’s feelings on the series and why they feel like they do on things like the Clone Conspiracy. I still don’t agree 100% with them on their feelings on that arc, but after listening to so much I can totally understand why they felt the way they did. If you want the best Spider-Man and Spidercentric podcast out there, you found it. I have never felt more at home listening to a comics podcast than I have with this one. I strongly agree listening to it and if you’re a first time listener, start with their essentials series. I love it more than I can possibly communicate.
