Godin being Godin
It’s kinda like you were Seth’s Uber driver on the way to the airport and he needed to get something off his chest or out of his head. It’s gold cause it’s Seth.

Go and make a rocket
This is an AMAZING podcast. I love Seth’s honesty and knowledge. He is my fav writers of all time. I used to translate his books before learning English because I couldn’t stop reading his work.

Remarkable & inspiring
I am late to the Akimbo party…but so glad I got here. Seth’s wit, wisdom, and war stories make the perfect blend to create an engaging podcast. The benefit of being late to the party is I’ve got hundreds of back episodes to binge! Enjoy this distinctive podcast created by a true expert.

Boo to your anti-logical mask shaming!
In your March 3rd episode, you insinuate that any anti-mask sentiment is media-fueled, and anti-science. If you opened your mind, you’d see that the same argument could be made in the opposite direction (i.e. irrational pro-mask sentiment is largely media fueled). There is zero scientific evidence that shows wearing glorified t-shirts over our faces does anything to materially reduce the spread of a virus ... certainly not enough to outweigh the significant social costs of doing so. Sure, if we had the capacity to equip every human with recurring-supply of clean, properly sized n95 masks the reality might be different (probably not), but that isn’t - nor will it ever be - the case. Seth you are way too intelligent to peddle in such flaccid logical arguments. It’s sad to realize such a brilliant mind can be poisoned by years of living in an media-dense echo chamber.

Most thoughtful, generous podcast available
Akimbo is an education on where we’ve been, where we are, and the opportunity we have to determine where we’re going.

Worth making time to listen to
This is the podcast I recommend most often and most enthusiastically to both friends and folks I know professionally - despite it not being at all specific to my industry! Thought provoking, with all kinds of interesting tidbits and ways of looking at/thinking about things. Individual episodes can be hit or miss but the hits far outnumber the misses, and the gestalt over time is fantastic.

deeply important
this is easily my favorite podcast. I skip past the repetitive bits right to the meat—when there is meat on that bone it’s good. Keep rollin’, Seth!

Thoughtful
I would be more inclined to download and listen if an actual description was added. I used to listen to every episode until they became political. Now I jealously guard my listening time and would appreciate a description of the episode.

I listened to Startup School in a rental car two years ago in freezing Milwaukee while I visited my girlfriend at the time. I had ambition but no mentors or guideposts to steer me. Seth was exactly that because I spent that whole day with my journal a pen in various coffee shops while I took all my ideas to task. Those ideas got to become a business. That then was accepted into a prominent accelerator locally. I was added to some positions as an entrepreneurial advisor to two major universities. I owe Seth a lot. Sometimes, sadly, I’d get bored of his metered and dulcet tone. But when times are tough and I need inspiration or to have the know how for perspiration this has been a great source. Listen to this if you are looking for a how. The topics are wide ranging but with creativity and thoughtful delivery you can apply those to anything in life. Think deeply about what is said, take what you believe into consideration, and go make a ruckus. Thank you to his team and to Seth

Can't stand Malcolm
The actual content is usually good. But Seth is insufferable. His tone is voice and his constant pauses when he is speaking makes the podcast difficult to listen to, let alone enjoy. Perhaps they should consider a different host.

Grateful
Seth is dedicated to publishing every week, and each episode is a must-listen. Such great insights. Thank you for your generous contributions Seth!

I am thankful
I am thankful to have stumbled across your books and content. The way your mind works is beautiful and has helped me understand marketing. My mind works in analogies, and if I can’t create a metaphor, I cannot understand it. Thank you for all your gold nuggets!

Hits the mark
The advice/knowledge comes in a nice, easy to digest package without the ego shown by other seers. It’s an honest, straightforward, “I’m here to help” podcast. The only part that could be done better is the Q&A. The questioners take too long to get to their point and should be edited or coached on how to be brief.

It's official, like a ref with a whistle.
Really glad I subbed this podcast when I did. It's dope on almost every level. I would give it 6-stars if I could.

Grateful for Seth and all the work he does
This is the information, the conversation, the mentorship, the teacher that I’ve been looking. There’s nothing that Seth puts out there that I’m not curious about. Thank you, Seth!!

A brilliant man - we are so lucky to have Seth
I struggle to find words to describe the impact Seth has had on my life. Unique, deep, honest, perspective, refreshing are words that come to mind when I think of him. Try to listen to this on 1.5x and I think your brain will melt. Thank you Seth. Purple Cow here

Great thoughts!
Seth presents each topic with such a level perspective that helps me to stimulate more thought. I will often catch myself thinking about something Seth has said in an episode throughout the weeks that follow. Love it! Like a good movie, I enjoy it when a podcast makes me keep thinking long after I have finished listening.

Obsessed
I love the insight that Seth brings. He’s thoughtful, attentive and aware. The conversation is forward thinking and thought provoking. Thanks Seth!!! I can’t wait to listen and read anything you produce.

Slow and unoriginal
Listened to a couple of episodes—the most recent, so the most accomplished—and found them to be so slow-moving as to be irritating. Worse, the quality of thought was same-old same-old. How can this guy be so famous? You’d have to be dreadfully ignorant to think this stuff is new or helpful. You would do better watching Maddow every night. At least she’s entertaining. Based on Godin’s reputation, I was expecting brilliance, but it’s the same-old same-old.

One of the best, most insightful, most engaging podcasts ever created.
Seth’s episodes are engaging, social, thought-provoking, and simply superb. Listening to all 100+ episodes is like sitting through a year-long course in creating culture change.

Seth’s perspective is incredibly valuable. I have had gamechanging insights while listening to him share his expertise.

A vital podcast for anyone searching for more meaning in their work and life
You might listen to one of those common interview podcasts (they are everywhere), but this is not one of those, and that is a very good thing. It’s one of the best thinkers of our generation, best-selling author Seth Godin, talking and riffing on topics dear to him, and to us all. Sit, listen, contemplate, then “go make a ruckus.”

Think outside the box
The best business podcast. Completely out of the box thinking. It’s changed how I approach business.

Generous and Provocative
Seth clearly enjoys imagining how things might be different and better. Each week, he approaches a different aspect of culture and seeks to improve it by inspiring the listener. You're going to think differently about culture if you listen.

A small piece of feedback
Love Seth’s mind and insight. Would only request to speak at a slightly quicker, more fluid pace and less staccato. Thank you for continuing to contribute your work!

Good, when it's about actual marketing
I’ve read several of Seth Godin’s books and I love them. He writes in a to-the-point manner that gives insight into my own business/marketing needs. His ideas are fresh and often clarify large concepts that I couldn’t quite wrap my head around. But Seth is great at teaching these things. The akimbo podcast has many of these amazing insights into business and marketing. The first dozen or so episodes were a veritable gold mine of information. However, Seth’s tangents into other territories has made the podcast less palatable and less useful. These territories are masquerading as “culture” and “making a ruckus” but more and more sound like Seth’s own brand of liberal politics. Stick to the insightful marketing script please. What starts out as an engaging presentation about how I can be a more effective marketer in my own business evermore turns into what sounds like a socialist public service announcement. From rants about white privilege to subtle atheistic sermons Seth Godin loses his effectiveness. Why? Because “people like us” listen in order to gain knowledge to be more successful at business. Yes, I’m even in the business to make money! What a concept. Remember Mr. Godin, people are ultimately here to grow their business via effective marketing. Please stay on track.

Seth is a personal hero
I have followed Seth’s work for many years. Akimbo is now my most frequent window into what Seth is thinking about and it’s always something fascinating. If you want to be challenged or just truly delighted by wisdom, this is the place.

Educational Leader
I adore Seth Godin and this podcast is no exception. I just shared this episode on Google and the history of search that every school student should listen to. It beautifully summarized the inception of Google and search from the beginning to today.

Pure wisdom
I just want to say that I haven’t found anyone out there who can share insights in such clear-concise-engaging way. Pure love to this podcast by Seth!!!

Capitalism topped with white guilt.
Godin’s commentary is a mishmash of bright marketing concepts and social justice self-loathing autoflagellation. People like me don’t need sanctimony like this.

Delivery is terrible.
I was really excited to see Seth had a podcast because I really enjoyed seeing him present at a conference. I am very very disappointed in this podcast and I’m amazed at all of the 5-star reviews. Delivery is terrible and not natural at all. Speech is way too slow and is very distracting to the content.

Just smart and insightful
It amazes me that a human can formulate and express ideas like Seth does without making opinions. Brilliant mesh of historical evidence to support original thought. Thank You Seth. Helping me immensely.

Half the time
Seth sounds a little smug to me—like he thinks he’s talking to a group of 3rd graders; the other half, I find his ideas thought provoking & novel and actually potentially helpful.

Stretching the mind!
Seth’s blog and podcast inspire and stretch my thinking, and I can apply the lessons to work and life. Thank you Seth!!!

People Like Us Need Podcasts Like This!
Have you ever felt there’s something wrong with the way we do business today? Have you ever suspected that a lot of our long-held assumptions about Marketing, Sales, and even Education could use some healthy scrutiny? Every Wednesday, just in time for your morning commute (I check weekly, believe me), Seth delivers a fresh, well-researched, well-thought out insight. There’s no commitment to hours of listening to get to the good stuff. His messages are quick and thought-provoking. I know there’s a lot of self-serving business information out there, pretending to be helpful. Who needs tiring, numbered lists telling you how to get rich, or how to grow your business? There are many blogs for that. Who wants to hear more interviews of “experts” making their lives out to be perfect and their successes inevitable? There’s other podcasts for that. Instead, every Akimbo episode leaves you with something new to thing about. Somehow, Seth manages to create more space in my already-crowded mind! To get the same benefit, all you need to do is listen. Yes, there are sponsors but that a good sign. Companies are willing to pay to get their messages to people like you and they see Seth’s messages as valuable. For Akimbo, the only thing you’ll be paying with is your time. Give it a listen and I challenge you to say it’s not a worthy investment! Sincerely, Chris Pawar Cleveland, Ohio
