Great podcast, one of my favorites. Ben and Jason are an entertaining listen, while still bringing relevant topicsthat are informative and interesting.

I don’t always care for the topics (I am a casual gamer so I don’t get into a decent portion of the games they talk about) but I like to listen to Ben so I’ll usually listen regardless.

These two talented minds tackle video games both contemporary and classic in a way that I have not seen elsewhere. The hosts discuss both the technical and emotional elements of video games, while introducing me to the business side of video games

..but on paper it looks like a 5 star to me lol. Love your work Jason on game of thrones, NBA, etc... and Ben, you're my man for baseball. Been listening to effectively wild for years and now the MLB ringer pod.. Great stuff, didn't know you 2 guys had this together.. keep up the good work

I like the pod, but can we please teach Ben Lindbergh how to speak in longer than one word sentences? It is pretty tiresome the way he breaks up his sentences and pauses after each word when making a statement or asking a question.

It's just a great gaming podcast by two very smart dudes. Highly recommended.

Ben and Jason provide an intelligent and entertaining podcast on gaming. Veering away from reciting gaming news and spotlighting interesting personalities (e.g. YouTuber uploading open world walk-a-thons or esport doctor), Achievement Oriented is fun, much like playing a good game!

Guys, this podcast is absolutely fantastic. I listen to a lot of gaming podcasts and none of them have it just right like this one. The guests come from a variety of backgrounds (development, journalism, hobbyist, etc) and the interviews are always spot on. So much interesting material packed in to one hour. Keep up the great work and congratulations on a job well done!

spoilers all through this stuff. I also listened to the wildlands episode. I think the guys forgot it is a Clancy game. I heard zero reference to operation showboat in clear and present danger or the teeth of the tiger. And the movie won't help you understand what I mean fellas. Uncertainty, civilians, grenades, its there. The campus is the same concept. With no government involvement. Wow it's not a new concept? No it isn't. 40 or 50 hrs of reading, but you would have been better informed. I recommend finding a podcast were the guys do it out of passion. Not for a paycheck.

Often they look at the moral points of games. This is silly it's a game. Play the game.

I enjoy ben Lindbergh but I feel that if you are really into video games there are a lot better and more in depth podcasts out there that better track the pulse of the games industry. Being part of the ringer, I feel like this podcast is aimed at the more casual crowd.

Like most podcasters and media these days, these nasal sounding talkers just force their scary brainwashed views into gaming and focus on the wrong points. This is typical from The Ringer network. Most of us are tired of these kinds of nonsense uneducated viewpoints thrown into what is supposed to be fun. That Ghost Recon episode was especially ridiculous and unnecessary. They definitely don't have voices for "radio" and neither do the guests which are always hard to understand. Their track record shows them to have the same granola objectively wrong opinions like the big websites so go opposite of what they think if you choose to waste your time with this cast.

Achievement Oriented has it all. Jason Concepion is one of my favorite twitter follows and he really shines here. It's smart and funny. Typically there's a segment on the biggest or most important release of the week and then another more evergreen on a different topic. They book really great guests - developers, voiceover actors, esports figures, other smart writers or critics etc... Really worthwhile.

I was a bit skeptical at first that I would enjoy a gaming podcast when I only have time to play a few new ones per year as it is, but Ben and Jason make it really fun whether I intend to play the game they're discussing or not. Legitimate praise and criticism, relevant games, and good old-fashioned nostalgia make for a great podcast.

I was one of those kids who couldn't have a Nintendo. I'd hear so much about video games, and they grew to be legends of mystical fun in my mind. So this pod's a flood of nostalgia; hearing Ben, Jason, and guests talk with enthusiasm about the latest games, and all the crazy peripherals of the gaming world, is something I can't help but enjoy. I still don't own a console!

This pod is awesome. Hosts have great chemistry. Super interesting guests. Great job.

I've listened to 5 episodes so far and I'm sold. It's not the greatest podcast ever made, but it's the only good one I've found on video games. Hopefully increased listenership will lead to higher production quality. Either way, keep doing what you do!

So far this podcast has been really enjoyable. They have fun and talk about games. Then they bring on experts in the gaming field and interview them on different aspects of their jobs. Highly recommend

Jason has always been the best but I've come to really like Ben too and they fit together very well.

This is a fantastic new gaming podcast. Ben and Jason have great takes on the most relevant games on the market. They are also really funny, and touch on other pop culture topics where they intersect with gaming.

These guys are great I wish the one dude would play Overwatch already. People don't understand what they are missing out on

Not trying to be the first "non-five-star-rating", I really do love this podcast. My only comment would be that it seems to just follow the same formula every time. Quick catch up with Ben and Jason, then a guest, then it's over. I think as the podcast grows, there will be scope to do some other things, but as Ben and Jason recently spoke about on the podcast, with all the games that are coming out, and as the industry grows, there is so much content out there, that at times it would be nice to hear you guys talk about more games. This is a classic "WE NEED MORE CONTENT" statement, I know. In summary, really love the pod. Think you guys are doing great. And really looking forward to changing this 4 star to a 5 once you guys really hit a stride.

I've been listening to videogame podcasts since the early 1up Yours days, and I can say without a doubt that Achievement Oriented is one of most pleasant videogame podcasts I've listened to. videogame culture, and Internet video game culture specifically, can be pretty insular. Even the best, smartest videogame podcasts are often done by either industry veterans (like Idle Thumbs), or games journalists (think Giant Bomb) who live and breathe videogames. And sometimes I just want a podcast that doesn't require you to know what a "dev cycle" is to get real enjoyment out of it. It's really refreshing to listen to two guys whose day jobs deal relatively little in actual videogames talk about the games they play. The fact that they're genuinely funny people who don't rely on injokes and callbacks to make me laugh is a nice bonus too.

Good blend of informative discussion, fun interviews, and speculation on new and popular gaming items. Ben and Jason have a good thing going here. Glad it finally got its own channel!

The fact that Ben and Jason are also exceptional writers shines through on this pod: Their questions to guests, their vivid descriptions, and their off-kilter humor make this a pleasure to listen to every week, even when the game they're covering doesn't particularly interest you.

The guests they have are really random in the best way possible, and they speak as gamers whose lives aren't wholly devoted to games, which I can relate to.

To me, this show is the perfect amount of game coverage for me. Its released once a week and the interviews are interesting, funny and enjoyable.

You guys are awesome and I am extremely glad I can nerd out listening to you guys. I might of missed it but could y'all touch on the horrific server problems for For Honor?

This has become one of my favorite podcasts. Jason and Ben are each hardcore gamers that making gaming extremely relatable. They cover games of the day and have interviews with people I didn't know I'd be interested in. If anything my complaint is that they don't do more or longer pods because there's so much content out there. Highly recommended, even for lightly casual gamers.
