Kellie and Allen are hilarious, and I “get” them — people who don’t get the humor tend to get their britches in a wad, it seems (based on some of these reviews). If you like lewd, immature man children with huge egos who can’t speak in a normal voice & every single freaking thing is a bit, this podcast is for you!! Allen is beyond exhausting, & his behavior & “bits” aren’t funny or cute. Listening to him is like nails on a chalkboard, from the changing of his voice because he can’t say words like sex to constantly interrupting Kellie “ad???, dime! , My Man!, etc”. He also has a huge ego that needs to be constantly stroked. I don’t know how Kellie does it because it’s obvious he’s jealous. He was NOT like this in the beginning & whatever “fame” he’s gotten a taste of has gone directly to his head. Kellie is truly a saint, & I feel sorry for her.

I truly enjoy the show most times. I do get annoyed with Alan constantly needling Kelley for everything that comes out of her mouth! I’d have to drink too … ugh it makes me feel I’m back with my ex husband…. Anyways today Kelley was talking about the stylist tips and Alan you continually talked over her… this was something that was interesting to me and Kelley was not able to give the advice bc she was constantly being interrupted. Ugh! Kelley is very influential and a lot of women enjoy what she has to say… so please allow her to do so. Alicia

It’s the best show to listen to at night it’s funny and sometimes so calming

I enjoy listening to Kellie, especially Love Letters to Kellie. So thought to give this pod a try. One word - Painful. It seems as though Kellie has to bring down her level of conversation to meet Alan’s conversation level which comes across as very elementary or 5th grade level type of stuff. He seems very self absorbed and doesn’t seem to value her thoughts or opinions very much. She deserves better. Were it anyone else, she’d give them that advice. Won’t be listening again. Good luck with him Kellie!

The friendly banter, silly anecdotes and honest recounting of their everyday lives are told with such obvious warmth and love. Kellie and Allen have me laughing and looking forward to Thursdays- I find myself re-listening to past episodes to hold me over till the new ones come out. I listen when life gets me down because I can hear the love for each other in their voices (even when they’re clapping back at each other!) and it lifts me up! Listening from NJ so glad I found them!!

I’ve listened to Kelly since May 1994, until I moved away from DFW. It’s great to hear Kellie and Allen discuss their experiences. I look forward to Thursdays and Fridays when I can listen to the latest episode. Love you desperately. Yogurt.

I can’t stop yelling at Allen, so I am discontinuing my membership as a very best customer. His humor hasn’t evolved past about 5th grade, and it’s exhausting. Even when his wife politely and assertively asks him to stop doing something that literally hurts her, he keeps doing it, which is actually abuse. He does the same old bits over and over (“dime”, his “hey man” thing, which nobody finds funny since we don’t know George, he makes his political leanings well known in spite of Kellie asking him not to, and “you need to change your voice”). Robert says it best: STOP TALKING.

I had listened faithfully since day 1 and used to love the podcast… but something has changed. I took a break for 6 months and came back to it and I just can’t anymore. Sorry guys, I’m out! It’s so negative and just downright boring. They have no new material and literally are talking about the same things they talked about 6+ months ago. They seem like a boring, old, tired couple. I actually came back to maybe get some insight on blended families since I am new to divorce and blending a new family… but there isn’t much content on that. It’s like you don’t want to talk about your personal lives and kids and you just beat around the bush instead… then say you can’t talk about it. Frustrating. Also, your kids are spoiled and you basically give them everything and anything they want. It’s disgusting! Bye bye Kellie and Allen. I had high hopes.

Kellie is lovely and a saint for putting up with him but Allen is awful. He come across as so arrogant and constantly tries way too hard. The negativity is a killer- how does anyone listen to this?!?

This is, hands down, THE BEST podcast ever. They cover so many REAL & RAW topics of every day life. Work, home, family, spouses, children, issues or funny moments. I love them, but something has changed. There’s so much constant complaining about restaurants, stores, etc. It has just become like listening to a couple of old people who start every story with “back in my day”. I think I have to take a break :/

First episode I listened to was #449. Allen the husband of the host told a disgusting story about him sharting his pants at a Harley Davidson dealership while cute young employee was helping him. He had to cut his underwear off with a pocket knife??? Left them in trash for cute young employee to clean up. I have listened to a few more episodes and Allen constantly interrupts and it is so annoying.

I used to LOVE this podcast. I found it relatable and entertaining. However, in the last year or so, I had to stop listening because it’s so overwhelmingly negative. I realized I felt frustrated after listening. It makes me sad that Kellie is often down on herself and I think Allen how crossed a line from witty banter into downright disrespectful. I wish it was the same podcast from a few years back.

Kellie, it’s pained me to hear you talk and acknowledge your shortcomings as a parent. At first I thought you were too hard on yourself or speaking in hyperbole. But when you take your child to multiple Harry Styles concerts and are disappointed by their behavior and then turn around and buy $750 tickets, you have become an enabler. You don’t owe her tickets to every major concert. I sympathize with you because it’s hard to say no, but you really need to work on this. Or just not highlight it so much on the podcast. I’ll continue to listen because I’ve listened to every single podcast, but I’m confused and disappointed by your approach.

Frustrated by Allen. Seriously stop with the Pelosi Hammer jokes every time you do it you just confirm how funny you find it and regardless of who it was done to it’s not a joke. It’s a terrorist like action. Kellie just do more episodes on your own please it’s more entertaining!

It is absolutely inconsiderate the way that Covid is constantly joked about and dismissed and mock on this podcast. There are people who have friends, and loved ones who have lost their lives and suffer from the aftermath of having this disease. To each his own about how they feel about it, but to mock it constantly on this show is absolutely irresponsible and unacceptable! Do better.

I typed this out a few times before deciding if I should go here. I love this podcast, love Kellie and Allen, but I’m super sick of hearing about “Cyn.” She has inserted herself everywhere- from coming up with show bits, to leaving a fake review on here promoting herself. She’s also not very nice unless you’re “famous.” Enough, girl.

I miss the good ole days of Kidd, Kellie, Al and Shanon. Rather than criticize the current on-air talent, I find this podcast a nice alternative.

I’ve been a listener of Kellie for 30 years so I found it only right to listen to her podcast with Allen. While I enjoy the “bickering” and the realness of the husband/wife banter I do have an issue with Allen trying to be funny and calling Covid, “The China Virus” As a person of Asian descent, I really took offense. Maybe I’m not part of the audience that finds that funny. I still love Ms. Kellie and the podcast

I’ve been listening to the KKMS for about 18 years now. I started listening faithfully to the podcast about a year ago and love it. It gives us a peek into your daily lives and struggles and makes us realize we’re not doing this alone. Allen cracks me up with how honest and candid he is no matter how embarrassing 😂😆! I feel like we’re friends even though we’ve never met and probably never will. I totally relate to Kelly’s strict religious Southern upbringing so her stories are very relatable as well. Long time listener, first time reviewer. This is some of my best work. Love Kellie and Allen’s podcast, mostly how Kellie lightly yells at Allen. It makes me feel at home and normal. I really feel in tune with them and enjoy listening to their lighthearted silly antics during my grueling workday. These two were made for each other and I usually listen to episodes multiple times because they are just enjoyable. Love the jackassery you two!
