I often go looking for more information on the topic of the week or add another book in the Amazon wish list. It’s sent me on a special commission to learn our “family history.”

These 5-minutes fill in the blanks with people, their fascinating stories and also connect the dots from IN THE BEGINNING B.C. to this year of our Lord 2023. Stephen Nichol’s 5 Minutes in Church History should be a requirement for every Christian who wants to know the foundation of Christ’s saints of our past, Colossians 1:26 (LSB) that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints

I am not a Christian or Catholic or anything but I still want to learn about God this is the perfect podcast for me to do that in just 5 minutes thank you!

This podcast is filled with truth from Scripture and the historical accounts of church history within the body of Christ. Nichols is a humble and godly man, who stands firm on the foundational principles. He is excellent at explaining theology, exegesis, and biblical hermeneutics of Scripture.

I am so grateful for this podcast that keeps the memory of godly Christians who have served the unified Church throughout the ages. As a young adult, it truly allows me to appreciate the sacrificial saints who have gone before me in building the Church.

I’ve just started listening to this podcast and already LOVE it! The speaker is easy to listen to and shares insightful thoughts about important people from our past. I’m thankful to have the opportunity to learn from him.

I came upon this podcast by accident and am now listening to all episodes. They are truly inspirational in the furthering of my faith. It’s telling when a podcast that claims to cover Church history spends 90% of its time and efforts focusing on the most recent 500 years of church history, and almost all of that is Protestant. That is to say, 75% of the history of the Christian Church is almost completely ignored, and that which is covered is done pretty myopically. If they only knew what the Cappadocian Fathers or John of Damascus would have thought about Calvinism.

It’s refreshing to hear sound teaching. God bless you and Ligonier ministries.

I’m a pastor of a tiny country church who wants to continually renew my mind and learn about the Bible and Church history. This podcast does a great job of teaching, and all in small, listenable segments. Always light and positive, I thoroughly enjoy every one I listen to and have written down many subjects to study further and books to find based on their topics. Keep it coming!
