Still Around?
I haven’t seen any new releases since May 2023. Is everything ok or was there a life or show update I’m missing?

Since their shows are shadows of what you did.

Enjoying the Additiion of Guest Shows
I've subscribed to 19 Nocturne and have always enjoyed this podcast with Julie being so creative as well as a an iconic voice artist in the field of audio theatre. Lately, Julie has added guest shows to her feed and this has also provided a service to source other audio drama fiction (of which I've subscribed to several after hearing on 19 Nocturne) better than I could before on my own. I appreciate her.

Also really long intro that isn’t even an intro.

Just stop.
No focus. No structure. No preparation or planning for the host monologues. It's being ranted at by someone you can't interrupt to get them back on topic.

Awesome 🙋🏻‍♀️
This podcast has a little bit of everything! It has Mind Theatre, story narrations, and 162 tips on how to create a podcast.

One episode was one episode too many
Julie is not as great as she thinks she is.

Last season was better
It seems the new season opens with a very long rambling of the host. Didn't there used to be an opening song or sequence? And, there is only 1 narrator? This was a lot better in prior seasons. Can't really listen anymore :(

Hurray it's back
Updating my previous review because Julie is BACK! Sly, funny, and consistently enjoyable I am so thrilled to see the return of this podcast. B & B investigations. the Lovecraft 5, and Edwardian Entertainments are well worth searching the archives. The best performances of Luella Miller and A Jury of Her Peers I've ever experienced. I can't wait to see what's next.

Horrible
No clear direction. Is is this a podcast about making a podcast? The stories are terrible

19 Nocturne is fantastic!
The time and effort put in to write, produce, act and just get the talent around to support this podcast and all for the "love of the Game" is amazing. Just this massive collection of shorts, serials and mega dramas are enough to fill many authors portfolio. This assortment is worth the many hours of entertainment. The how to blogs for anyone who is thinking of audio drama is a degree class itself. Hopefully Julie Hoverson could find a position teaching this at a professional level. Hint Hint... The listener will be flabbergasted at the voice talents of Julie. One of the most interesting is the male Dr. with an Indian accent. Just that one voice of many takes you to different places..The stories are fun, serious, scary, and thought provoking at times. Some are obvious takes on on current and past events. Nods to horror writers in the past. Just fun all around. Good luck to J. Hoverson and 19 Nocturn. New listeners will be fans soon also. I'm at just a average joe that enjoys listening to this podcast as an escape from today's news and drama in our world today. Respect life, people and money and the world will change.

A Mixed Bag
I could do without the lessons on how to create a podcast. I'm delighted to hear stories by Saki, a favorite author of mine, and happy to listen to other authors from decades ago. The stand-alone original stories are very good. The original episodic stories are also a mixed bag: I particularly could do without "Bingo the Birthday Clown", and I love the "Dead-Eye Kid" stories.
Lord Gro
The female successor to Rod Serling
In my opinion, Julie Hoverson puts out one of the highest quality products in the I tunes universe. The stories are familiar enough to make you comfortable, then she throws just enough twist in to make you say 'wow, didn't see that coming, but I should have.' Please keep 'em coming Julie, you have kept this old trucker pleasantly awake for many miles.
Uncle Snort
Bingo The Clown
I am a month into podcasts , after 12 years of driving for a living and not being able to take another minute of terrestrial radio but not wanting to install a satellite in a company car . So I discovered podcasts and today have started listening to 19 nocturne boulevard and am enjoying bingo immensely . Driving 12 hours a day I appreciate the high quality production podcasts like this one. FIVE STARS AND HUGE KUDOS TO OWNER OF THIS PODCAST! Bruce

Very Weak Stories
The best stories on this podcast were not done by Julie Hoverson. After Lives and 118 Migration. Ms. Hoverson also doesn't understand that "Anime" is not some magical word that means Japanese style story. Anime is just a word for animation in Japanese it does not mean an audio drama can be an anime. Her writing is poor and her stories are poorly narrated. Her blog is horrible. She never edits out the disgusting noises that she makes when she's sick and she overly opinionated and narcissistic.

Great audio dramas!! Poor implementation.
I love all the stories I've been listening to. I just wish it was easier to get to the ones I want. There should really be separate feeds for each separate series.

Finding this made my year
As a child I would listen to Radio Mystery Theater, and I fondly remember hiding under the covers while the stories scared me in a wonderful way. I stumbled on 19 nocturne blvd quite by accident and have been voraciously listening to all the past podcasts. Now I eagerly await each new episode with the same anticipation as that child long ago. Thank you Julie!

Goddess
In my opinion, Hoverson is right there with Scott Sigler, Mike Bennett and Mur Lafferty. Some of the best audio entertainment available out there! Awesome voicework you come to love and technical mastery with mixing and effects. Why, it's a living storybook, can't you tell?

Fun and Witty
Julie's stories are a wonderful diversion from the daily stresses that force us all to forget we were once kids!

Weak stories, hard on the listener
Imagine a pasta sauce made with the finest ingredients, prepared by a skilled chef, and then doled out in a miserly spoonful on top of a mound of soggy, lukewarm pasta. That's 19 Nocturne Boulevard. 19 Nocturne Blvd. emphasizes sound over voice, and I don't think that the approach works very well. The listener has to work too hard for too little reward. The voice talent is great and the production is very well done. These positives don't overcome 2 major and 1 minor flaws: 1) The stories are very thin and sketchy. They are quirky and imaginative, but rarely rise above mildly entertaining. 2) The podcaster has made a deliberate choice to make heavy use of sound and voice acting to convey the story (she describes one one multi-part story as an "audio movie"). Narration and dialogue is sparse by podcasting standards. I applaud her for trying a new approach, but I believe that she took the concept too far. It often is difficult to figure out which character is talking, and the sound effects often are subject to multiple interpretations until events later in a story provide the necessary context. Imagine a movie playing on a television in another room, where you can hear it but not see it. If the movie is heavy on dialogue, you will catch most of what is happening. If the movie combines sparse dialogue with a lot of supernatural or science fiction elements, it won't make sence without the visual accompaniment to the audio. 3) The minor flaw, which the podcaster can still correct, is inconsistent naming conventions for the episodes. This is especially bothersome for people accessing iTunes via the iPhone or iPod Touch, because Apple shows far too few characters for episode names in those devices. It took me some time to realize that the first 22 episodes are blog entries with no stories. I'd add an introductory episode, and then rename episodes as needed for consistency.

Excellent Show
Julie Hoverson continually creates a quality show which comes out regularly - which for this listener is wonderful. There are many audio dramas which are excellent but which don't come out regularly. 19 Nocturne Boulevard comes out regularly without fail.

I love this!
Most of these are really good in a weird and twisted way!
