Episode 116: Trying hard and getting nowhere
Have you ever felt completely exhausted… not because you were doing too much, but because it felt like all your effort wasn't leading anywhere? In this episode of More Life, Less Drama, I explore a different perspective on burnout and why emotional exhaustion often comes from trying hard without seeing progress, validation or results. This episode dives into: Why burnout is not always about workload The emotional impact of feeling stuck or unseen How lack of progress affects motivation and confidence The difference between physical exhaustion and emotional burnout What this can look like in business, careers, health and everyday life Why small, repeated actions matter more than dramatic change How to stop making slow progress mean failure I also share personal reflections from building businesses, running a sewing club, navigating online business and content creation, and the emotional toll of trying hard in silence. If you've been questioning yourself lately, feeling disconnected from your work, or wondering why things feel heavier than they used to, this episode will help you understand what may really be going on beneath the surface. Episode 114 - Why You Spiral After Conflict (Even When Nothing’s Wrong)
This episode covers why you spiral after emotional moments with others, what drives that response, and how to change it. What's inside this episode: Why you instantly make someone else's emotions about you The real reason people-pleasing feels so urgent What's happening in your nervous system in those moments Why you stay stuck in the spiral long after it's over The hidden cost of this pattern on your time, energy, and focus How to pause instead of reacting Simple ways to support yourself in the moment Why doing the work outside the moment is the real shift Key takeaway:You don't need to stop your emotions. You just need to stop adding extra drama to them. Homework:When you're feeling calm and grounded, take a few minutes to think about this: Who do I want to be when this happens? What do I usually do that I don't want to keep doing? What would I do instead? What's one sentence I can remind myself of at that moment? Write it down so it's there when you need it. Work with me:If you're ready to stop reacting like this and start feeling more calm, steady, and in control of yourself, this is exactly the work I do in one-on-one coaching. You don't need more awareness. You need support to actually change how you show up in real moments. You can book a call with me via the link below.https://calendar.app.google/FT7dn6K9KFKWCAKi9 Contact:Website: www.pruesulicich.com.auEmail: [email protected]: @prue_sulicich

Episode 113: Stop Waiting to Feel Ready: Start Your Business Now
So many women are sitting on business ideas they can't seem to move forward. This episode breaks down what's really going on when you keep putting your business idea on the shelf, even when you think about it all the time. It's not a time problemand tt's not a strategy problem. Inside this conversation, wI talk about why waiting to feel ready is keeping you stuck, how fear, doubt and identity play a role, and what actually creates confidence in business (hint: it's not more thinking). This is about becoming someone who follows through — even when it feels uncomfortable. What You'll Take Away Why “not enough time” usually isn't the real issue How self-trust (not strategy) is the foundation of business growth The hidden fear of success and how it shows up Why confidence only comes after you take action The difference between “safe tasks” and real business growth How to identify the one thing that will actually move your business forward Homework Take a minute and answer these honestly: What is one thing you know would actually move your business forward? What would it look like to do that before you feel ready? Where are you keeping yourself busy instead of taking real action? Keep it simple. One step. Then follow through. If you're ready to stop overthinking and start doing, there's a free session available: Finish What Actually Grows Your Business This session will help strip everything back and focus on what actually matters and how to follow through on it. Episode 112: Business Without The Money Pressure
This episode explores why business has become so serious and how focusing only on money might be the exact thing holding people back from starting, continuing, or enjoying what they're building. There's a strong pull online toward fast results, revenue goals, and constant growth, but that pressure often creates tension, overthinking, and disconnection from the actual work. Instead, this conversation brings it back to basics: business as experimentation, curiosity, and movement. Not ignoring money, but not letting it control every decision, especially in the early stages. The key shift is simple…stop asking “Will this make money?” and start asking “Am I willing to do this long enough to find out?” Because the people who build something meaningful aren't the ones who waited to get it right, they're the ones who kept moving, testing, and adjusting along the way. Optional Homework: Take a few minutes with these: If money wasn't part of the equation right now… what would you be doing? What would you try, test, or explore just out of curiosity? Are you building something you actually want to be doing in 5 years? Are you avoiding action because you're trying to “get it right”? Then choose one small action you'd take if the pressure was removed—and do that. If this way of thinking resonates, the next step is simple, get around more of it. Episode 111: Whose Opinion Are You Living By?
This episode explores the subtle way we let other people's opinions shape our decisions… without even realising it. It starts with a real-life moment, noticing how the opinions of others (even our own kids) can make us hesitate, second-guess, and hold back. Not because they're right… but because we've given their opinion more weight than our own. This conversation is a reminder that experience matters. You've lived, learned, and handled more than you give yourself credit for. And at some point, you have to stop looking sideways for approval…and start backing yourself. Because when you shape your life around what others think is “right”…you don't create anything meaningful, you just play it safe. And safe doesn't change your life. Support Follow-up Questions: For the next week, start noticing where you're holding yourself back because of someone else's opinion. Keep it simple: Catch it: “Whose opinion am I thinking about right now?” Check it: “Have they actually lived the kind of life I'm trying to create?” Choose anyway: Say it, post it, share it, try it — even if it feels uncomfortable. Do this with awareness, not judgement. If this episode resonated, share it with someone who needs to hear it. And if you're ready to stop overthinking and start following through on what actually matters, come and join me inside The Finishers Club. This is where you learn how to back yourself, take action, and finish what you start — without the drama. Episode 110 Chapter Check: The next big thing
The Chapters of Your Life (and the One You're About to Write) Looking back through old photo albums can reveal something surprising: life naturally unfolds in chapters. Some chapters are filled with adventure and discovery, others with responsibility, growth, and building a life for the people we love. The challenge is that while we're living inside a chapter, we often assume it will stay the same forever. This episode explores the idea that life is meant to evolve. Through personal reflection sparked by sorting through decades of photos, this conversation looks at how easily people settle into roles, routines, and identities that once made sense but may no longer fit the person they are becoming. The episode introduces a simple reflective tool called a Chapter Check. It's a way to pause and ask whether current decisions are being made for the life that exists today, or for the life that is quietly calling next. Growth does not always require dramatic change. Often it begins with awareness. Recognising the chapter you are in, and giving yourself permission to imagine the next one, can open the door to more freedom, creativity, and enjoyment in life. Life moves. People grow. And sometimes the most important step is simply acknowledging that a new chapter may be ready to begin. Homework: Do a “Chapter Check” Take some time this week to reflect on the different chapters of your life. You may like to write them down as titles, just like a book. Examples might look like: The adventure years The building years The young family years The survival years The reinvention years Once you've mapped out your chapters, ask yourself a few questions: 1. What chapter of life am I currently in?Give it a name that honestly reflects this period. 2. Does this chapter still feel alive and expanding?Or does it feel like it may be coming to a natural close? 3. Is there something quietly calling me into the next chapter?A new experience, a new direction, or something you've been wanting to explore. 4. If I were already living that next chapter, what decisions might I start making differently? This is the essence of a Chapter Check. It's a pause to ensure the decisions you make today support the life you are growing into, not just the life you have been living. Episode 109: Do You Have a Negative Attitude?
Negativity does not come from circumstances. It comes from the brain. This episode explores how subtle, everyday negativity often goes unnoticed because it feels like “being realistic” or “just telling it how it is.” Many people believe their frustration, disappointment, or resentment is caused by external factors; a partner, a job, a body, a season of life. But the quality of life is shaped far more by attitude than by circumstance. Attitude is simply a collection of thoughts. Those thoughts create emotional baselines. When negativity runs unchecked, it can quietly become the default setting, influencing relationships, confidence, health, and results. This episode introduces a simple 24-hour attitude audit: Notice the first thought when something goes wrong. Notice the first thought when someone disagrees. Notice the first thought when looking in the mirror. Notice the first thought when thinking about goals. Is it generous or harsh? Curious or judgmental? Possibility-focused or limiting? The goal is not forced positivity. It is awareness. When thoughts are written down, patterns become visible. And once a thought can be seen, it can be questioned, softened, or replaced. Same circumstances. Different thinking. Completely different experience of life.
