Rowdy Kelley and Robert Leiterman of the Bluff Creek Project join hosts Thomas and Julie to discuss their recent attempt at recreating the last 30 seconds of the Patterson/Gimlin film on Plus X reversal 16mm film through a K-100 camera owned by Daniel Perez.  On December 9th they released the film on their Facebook Page for the public to examine.  Here is the exert from that post:  "Here is the Bluff Creek Project's attempt at recreating the last 30 seconds of the Patterson/Gimlin film on Plus X reversal 16mm film through a K-100 camera owned by Daniel Perez. Initially this test was to just see the difference in frame lines between the 15mm and 25mm lens at Patterson's estimated location. But before we shot the film we remeasured and resurveyed the "smiley face" stump to Patterson's frame 352 position and got a new location from Mun's attempt in 2012. Ours appears to be more accurate in that we have better sight lines now from the 6 years of clearing lower branches at the site. It brought us closer to the edge of the bank and made it easier to at least recreate the last 30 seconds of the film starting about 4 seconds before frame 352. Munn's position was about 8 feet away down the bank closer to the creek bed and made it to cumbersome to emulate Patterson's camera movement and position. We will make another attempt next year as close to the anniversary date as possible with a better game plan, view and color low light film."
This undoubtedly brings a new perspective to the table as related to the PG Film site, with the folks from the Bluff Creek Project!
