As the world teeters on economic collapse, owing to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, people are grasping at straws. Some believe that an old anti-malaria drug is the magic bullet that everyone has been waiting for. Others are saying not so fast. Many are just spouting newspaper articles with no evidence whatsoever. Whether hydroxychloroquine works in humans has not been proven for any virus. And in fact, in any randomized controlled trials against the number of viruses, including the flu, hydroxychloroquine doesn't work at all, according to experts, virologists, infectious disease experts. 

Dr. Remington Nevin, MD, MPH, DrPH, joins to discuss the dangers of Hydroxychloroquine. Dr. Nevin is a Consultant Physician Epidemiologist, Board Certified in Public Health & General Preventive Medicine and in Occupational Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and Certified in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
