Surface Level and Condescending at Times

I gave about ten or twelve episodes a chance before unsubscribing. The podcast can definitely have some useful information, but often times it will stop just short of the juicy details and instead refer you to a link in the show notes for more details. It isn’t really helpful while driving or on a flight. I’m not sure the producers understand the strengths and weaknesses of podcasts in that regard. It’s possible that I came in during this show’s “NPR annual fundraiser”, but every other episode felt like they were trying to sell me on a class or conference. The worst instances were when they’d roll out manufactured scarcity and tell you to “buy now, because next week the price triples!” For me, it felt condescending and more like an MLM pitch than a real opportunity for professional development. If you’re trying to teach people how to sell, at least assume we’re savvy enough to know when we’re being sold.
Insightful, entertaining and actionable

Sonia and her talented guests talk all things marketing, giving you the tools you need to get hands-on with your business. The best part is these tools come from truly engaging individuals that have been where you are and want to see you succeed. Thanks so much for putting out such a spectacular show Sonia - keep up the great work!
Pragmatic and Artful

I have listened to around 20 episodes over the last two months and have found them to be practical, clear and imbued with the experience of people who have been at copywriting a long time. Copyblogger is not the only place to learn about copywriting in the age of content marketing, but it is among the best. My thanks to Sonia and her fellow Rainmakers for sharing what they know.
(((why are you whispering?)))
MangleExpert
Seriously, do you record the show in a library? Please go outside. The content is solid, but I can only get halfway through an episode before the whispering gets so skin-crawly I have to turn it off.
Incredible!
Autumn Shultz
I love the insights that are provided in each episode. Sonia and her guests are so knowledgeable, and their tips are amazing and inspired. I would definitely recommend this for anyone involved in the business and marketing industry.
Soothing
TinaAnn73
This is a good podcast with great content and they are short and to the point. Bonus: my 3-month-old granddaughter was a getting a little bit cranky. I turned on this podcast and she went right to sleep!
The Power of Conversational Copy
ScribblingMadly in Maine
Few pods resonate like the ones that bring together people whose work you've admired for a long time. Recent shows that come to mind include Brian Clark and Dan Pink; and Ed Gandia and Joanna Weibe. Sonia's interview with Nick Usborne is the latest example. They each sell courses well worth the investment, and they share a philosophy that will serve you well. Get in on this episode now!
Very Intelligent and Educational
JobRetriever
Most marketers are honest liars. The worst part is wasting time listening, and then finding the b.s., or fluff nonsense. This podcast won’t waste your time. I highly recommend for marketers and writers.
Nice tone, very informative

Always a pleasure to listen to this podcast.
Cherry-pick this resource for great content marketing advice
MrNewsGuy
As the title changed from The Lede to Copyblogger FM, I think this podcast became a little less useful overall. Definitely subscribe to keep up with the best content marketing advice and action steps available. But pick and choose as you desire to find the episodes that best meet your needs.
Advice with a real point of view

Sonia practices what she preaches: she has a definite personality, one that I love listening to! I feel like she's speaking directly to me, wherever I happen to be when I'm listening, and that's the mark of a great communicator. I love that her experience as a writer means that her content is relevant not only for my podcasting efforts, but all my content creation. Great show!
mindblowing
Ehab Mohsen
this podcast is gold ... every episode.
I give up.

The degree of blatant self-promotion and advertising has a once insightful show turning into a something that isn't worth listening to. I feel like I've subscribed to a podcast of commercials. P.S. - this review was brought to you by StudioPress sites.
Weekly Hit of the Pink-Haired Marketing Diva, Sonia Simone
lts108
A great recap of the weeks doings at Copyblogger. Sonia Simone always adds several things to make me go *aha* and yet get pushed into overwhelm. Still hoping for the return of The Pink-Haired Marketer podcast. One of the best voices of the Copyblogger brand.
Informative
InterviewValetKH
Sonia is so professional and easy to listen. It's a delight to tune in to each episode. Keep up the great episodes.
Desperate For Content
Andypanda5976
Sonia your show about Ryan's pitiful comments didn't deserve more attention. Damian was an odd ball but I grew to like him and he had better content. Pick up your game.
Wow. Soooo much value here.
Doc Champagne
I finally tuned in after hearing about Copyblogger FM from Chris Ducker and so glad I did. Don't listen to this unless you have paper and pencil in hand because you will be taking huge notes. Can't wait to dig into the other episodes I missed. Absolutely MUST listening for entrepreneurs. --Doc
Keeps getting better

I’ve been following Copyblogger for a couple years and love all the stuff they share out. The latest iteration into the Copyblogger.fm podcast is a continuation of the quality content that Rainmaker/Copyblogger has become know for. Add to that the intelligent (not too mention, silky smooth) voice of Sonia Simone, and I can’t wait to hear the next episodes! Thanks!
Love This!
PamJR1981
The first podcast I listened to was the one about being "weird," and I really identified with it. I can't wait to listen to more! I actually have my headphones in as I type this.
Learn copywriting

Great podcast to learn copywriting and everything blogging from successful internet marketers and entrepreneurs.
Jerod & Demian the Titans of Copy
TrevorYannayon
Jerod and Demian always make me laugh and more importantly I always learn something. The way they interact makes the podcast fun while they provide incredibly helpful content. Keep up the awesome! Trevor @trevoryannayon
Love the new focus
Mdix1
Nice work Damian and Jerod on the new show format. I got a lot more out of this than from previous episodes although I'm a devoted listener. Please stay the course with this direction since it adds a whole new level of customer centric focus. I felt you guys really had my back in this show with some killer tips on republishing old posts. Love it and look forward to the upcoming episodes.
Good Content
@stevejacksonus
Good stuff, but far too many "you know"s for my liking.
Great show!

Demian and Jerod know how to host a good podcast. Their back and forth banter is perfect, and the information is invaluable.
Love listening to Jerod and Demian!

More High Quality listening from Copyblogger
DefiantWellness
Copyblogger Media has busted wide open with their new Rainmaker network. The Lede is a cornerstone of this network. Jerod and Demian provide so much insight into the world of copywriting. I look forward to every episode.
One of my never-miss podcasts
Copywrite Matters
This is one of my favourite podcasts and I rarely let more than a few episodes bank up. They are short but incredibly useful with tips, advice and strategies about content marketing and copywriting. As a copywriter, I'm always picking up little tidbits I apply in my work. As a business owner, I get a lot of great marketing ideas from these two. And the guys sound like friends. I like that.
It's Copyblogger So It Has To Be Good!
Mflorestal
It almost seems redundant to leave this review. With a name like CopyBlogger it has to be good! They just have a knack for producing actionable material wrapped in beautiful stories. Whether it's a blog post or any one of their amazing podcasts, you can be sure that you are getting exceptional material and all you have to do is put it into action. Thanks CopyBlogger.
Love the Curation Series!
CatheeP
Just got back from my morning walk and listening to third in the series of hows and whys of curating material to pass on in my blog. Jerod and Damion challenge me every time I listen to read more, record ideas, and work hard at my writing craft. Thanks for such useful content. I might add that I’m 71 - not your “average” listener.
Awesome Copyblogger Content
Bryan Del Monte (Clickafy)
This is a great podcast. I'm hoping you guys are going to keep it up. As an executive in marketing/advertising and a podcaster myself - there aren't lots of podcasts I like to listen to... this is one of them. Solid copywriting advice from pioneers in the field of online... keep it up.
Practical no nonsense content marketing information
RobertWilliger
As a reader of Copyblogger for many years was quite excited when they started a podcast and they have not let down. Each episode is short, focussed, and provides practical information that you can immediately put to use. If you do any sort of writing this is a must listen to.
Great Info!

What more can you ask for? I am just starting out my blog. Invaluable content.

This cast definitely helps folks starting out trying to make the most out of each post. The resources mentioned for finding great common license images will definitely be put into use ASAP
The Lede from Copyblogger
Worth a Listen!

Outstanding Advice

I have learned a lot from these short interviews. I really appreciate how the host gets right to the point. I'm looking forward to the remainder of the 11 part series. I highly recommend this podcast.
Impressed.
modernguy
This is the first time I’ve given The Lede a listen (although I’ve been dancing around it for a while) and I’m impressed. Solid production quality and an insightful interview.
Helpful and to the point.
MarkGelfuso
If you are looking for ideas, inspiration and advice but only have limited time or a limited attention span then Copyblogger is the place for you. Straight to the point with great topics and smart people. Can’t ask for anymore.
Listen to them ALL!
Jorge O Lopez
An amazing podcast with great information. Something I listen to more then once. Helps me make better decisions for my small business.
Thanks!
Blake Stratton
I love Copyblogger, but it's often hard to find time to read everything I'd like to. This podcast allows me to learn from their expertise on the go.
Thank you!
Karahrah
As a busy teacher of marketing to ESL students, this is the perfect way to get my brain in gear while driving to work. Inspiring, interesting and shareable. Thanks again.

Great content! Mediocre audio quality. I absolutely love your show – the content is amazing. I just finished listening to Seth Godin. It seemed odd to me that the audio quality on Seth's side was at least two levels superior to the host. I'm new to podcasting. I interviewed Rob Greenlee for the first episode of my upcoming podcast (yesterday) And then discovered your podcast. It's remarkable to me how great minds think alike. Rob and Seth, I mean. Thank you again for this great podcast. If you want to chat about improving the audio quality @gspn
RE: 30 Minute Copywriting Course….
jasonsmcc
This was literally the best podcasts I have ever listened to. The value that was given away in this one podcast was mind blowing. Thank you so much!
Good stuff!
Spadawg
I don't know how I blogged before I found Brian Clark and his team with all of the CopyBlogger resources. I pretty much don't make a decision without consulting them these days.
One of the BEST
LBMommy
I LOVE Copyblogger Radio. PLEASE bring it back!! Copyblogger articles are terrific, but I'm an auditory learner and get so much more out of the podcasts. This one is one of the best out there - I sincerely hope they pick it up again!
Seth and Carlton in the first 10?!!
Rich Griffin
I can't wait to see where you are going to go from here. Landing Seth Godin and John Carlton in your first 10 podcasts. Great content, keep it up... please!
Life Changing for Ad School Student
MosDebt
I'm a brand new copywriter in ad school and the John Carlton episodes themselves fueled me with lifelong advice. I was absolutely floored that I shared similar insight with a guru. I love the site and definitely get the episodes back up and running. I love my radio class and wouldn't mind lending a hand.
Convenient Learning
Dan W AZ
What can I say? This podcast provides an awesome program that you can just sit back and listen to for hours, learning the whole time. Definitely beats the car radio. I'd suggest it to anyone seriously interested in web-based business or marketing
Woot!

It's great to see a podcast about copywriting, I didn't realize copyblogger had a podcast.
