As we head out of spring and into summer this week we focused on hanging baskets, bedding plants and fruit trees which are coming into flower at the moment and showing signs of a fruitful harvest. The coronet vareity of apples were featured as a plant that is easy to grow and requires low maintenance. The repair and maintenance of lawns was also discussed as was planting for the edible garden. Paraic advised on screening planting for privacy with hedging, tree and pampas grasses and highlighted the importance of trimming and staking when planting ornamental trees.
