This Bonus interview is so epic because I interviewed my first rock star, Jeffrey Bryan. Jeffrey grew up in LA and at a really young age, he was playing all the classic LA music venues. He talked about how he came to play the "Merv Griffin Show" at the age of 15, playing in different bands, composing music for tv/movies, and then joining the mega rock band "Survivor" (Eye of the Tiger, Moment of Truth, Burning Heart, and more) in 2017. Oh yeah and I failed to mention Jeffrey was an actor in the film "Karate Kid" and was on set for about 6 months, so he has some great behind the scenes stories about that experience.  The wild thing is "Survivor" did the title track "Moment of Truth" for "Karate Kid" and Jeffrey is in the movie and music video!  This is available as a video interview too at sequelsonly.com/jeffreybryan Check out Jeffrey's website here http://www.jeffreybryanmusic.com/ Follow us on all social media @seqeulsonly.com Our website is sequelsonly.com

This week's guest in Hollywood Make-up Artist Mike Marino. Mike is a tri-state area guy who was inspired at a young age from his fear of the movie "The Elephant Man" which led him to be fascinated by the make-up effects.  We talked about how he got started practicing on a classmate in high school, how legendary makeup artist Dick Smith used to help him over the phone, working on Saturday Night Live,  the biggest turning point in his career, doing Heidi Klum's epic Halloween costumes, plus we talked his upcoming films "The Batman" and "Coming 2 America".  We covered a lot in an hour and he has worked on so many amazing projects, so we couldn't talk about it all, but I put his IMDb and website below. This week's sequel has us traveling to a dystopian future where a young Mel Gibson (Mad Max) will do just about anything for gasoline. This movie has an all-star cast with Mel Gibson and Vernon Wells.  We, of course, talked about Jason Voorhees sorry I mean Lord Humongous, Feral Kid (What the hell was he), us both falling head over heels for Warrior Woman, how insane Vernon Wells is in this movie, and lots more.  Mad Max 2 was our highest Rotten Tomatoes score yet at 93% This is also available to watch in video form (Doug has an epic costume of a Mad Max 2 character) here sequelsonly.com/madmax2 The next movie we are covering is "Return to Sleepaway Camp" (Available on Shudder) and we interviewed a SPECIAL EFFECTS MAKEUP LEGEND Mike Marino.  It was great to chat with a local Tri-State area person about how he got from a kid doing makeup on a friend to doing the makeup for some of the biggest films/shows around.  Mike just worked on the much-anticipated sequel "Coming to America 2" and "The Batman"  Here are all of Mike's Amazing credits https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002514/ Follow us on all social media @sequelsonly and our website is sequelsonly.com

So the last few movies had some pretty high body counts (Samurai Cop 2, Sudden Impact, and Death Wish 3), so it's only fitting our next sequel is one where a dead body is the star (cough Bernie Lomax cough). Weekend at Bernie's 2 has so much going on that we brought back Gina (Karate Kid Part III guest) to help us sort it all out. Of course, we talked voodoo, a few plot holes(maybe more), Larry's insanity, henchman turning into goats slowly, the Bernie dance, and so much more.  We hope this tropical setting will help you escape a little.  This is available on youtube as a video review here https://youtu.be/xIEJ0zVdfzw Follow us on all social media @sequelsonly and check out our website sequelsonly.com  Next week we have an amazing interview (in both audio and video) with actor and legendary villain Vernon Wells(Mad Max 2, Commando, Weird Science, and more)  Vernon's career is so amazing and his story about how he got started is as well.  Subscribe here sequelsonly.com/subscribe

This week's interview is such a special one for me, because "Weekend at Bernies 1 and 2" were ones I watched over and over as a kid and I was in LOVE with Troy Byer. I never realized the amazing things she did behind the camera like write "BAPS", write/direct "Love Don't Cost a Thing", and so much more.  I short-changed her on the episode title because I didn't want it to be too long, but it could have said,  "Troy Byer American psychologist, author, director, screenwriter, and actress".  I loved chatting with Troy and I know you'll love her too.   Write a review for our podcast! Is there any aging action star that can possibly top Clint Eastwood's role of "Harry Callahan"? Charles Bronson playing Paul Kersey in Death Wish 3 of course.  The kill count in this movie blows away the 1st two films added together and multiplied by 2.  So for a body count like that, we had to have a guest help sort em' and  Andrew Powers did just that and more. Andrew showed up in costume dressed as Mr. Paul Kersey himself from the film. We discussed the corrupt cops, the holding cell battle royal, Paul dating a girl 30 years younger than him, the not warriors gang, and so much more.  Write us a review where ever you listened! Growing up in the tristate there are a lot of staples that are part of life.  Good pizza, good bagels, and when in the car every morning you listen to Elvis Duran on Z100.  So interviewing Skeery Jones, who has been a part of that show for over 20 years was quite the honor.  After he was on the air for four hours, he still took a few minutes to chat with us. We talked about his love radio at a young age, Phone Taps, the time he was on the dating show "Blind Date", and lots more.  Review, rate, and share us. Crystal Allen is one of our 1st interviews with the star of the film we are covering and man was it awesome. Crystal was a lot of fun and told us about starting out as a model who traveled the world, but then she fell in love with acting.  She appeared on hit show after hit show right from the start, but then she got the lead role  in "Anaconda 3: Offspring."  Crystal talked about working opposite David Hasselhoff, playing a villain, and so much more.  Review, Rate, and Share this podcast!  Follow us on all social media @sequelsonly  Follow Crystal on Instagram @cystalallen13   and check out her IMDb https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1296597/   Don't forget to watch Ananconda 3: Offspring for next week's review. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Happy New Year and to kick it off right, we went with the badass sequel to the greatest Christmas movie of all time, Die Hard. Die Hard 2 was also set during Christmas time and somehow Jamie didn't notice it was!  This movie had naked Tai Chi, Not Billy Bob Thornton, a whole lot of deaths, and Dennis Franz playing a no-nonsense cop.  Doug also tests out a new impression.  Please Review, Rate, Subscribe and Share us. This week’s interview is with Celebrity Photographer Lysa Nalin. Well, before we chatted I just thought she was a photographer and was an extra in Die Hard 2, but boy she has done a lot more than that. Lysa talked about being an extra on Friends, being in a lot of beer commercials(wearing John Elway's Super Bowl ring), working on films, and she is a singer too! She talked about observing Bruce Willis on set and a cool Meryl Streep story, but what I loved the most was how she got her start working with the infamous Harry Langdon.  Lysa is a lot of fun and you’ll love her. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! This week's bonus episode is a special one since we have someone from the movie that no one can escape every Christmas, because it's on 24 hours straight and on 2 channels, of course, we are talking about "A Christmas Story."  We interviewed Scotty Schwartz who played "Flick" in the movie.  We talked about him working with Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleaaon in the film "The Toy", touring with WWF for one year, growing up as a child star, and he tells us about some of his famous friends (these stories are rad).  Review, Rate, and Share this! Die Hard 2 is our next film and earlier in the year we were lucky enough to interview the bad guy in movie, William Sadler. We met Corinne Rodriguez Montoya through a mutual friend and found out she was an extra in Die Hard 2, so we scheduled the interview to talk about that, but once the interview began, we knew we were talking to one of the most interesting people we will ever talk to. She has stories involving John Lennon and Michael Jackson, but that is the tip of the iceberg. Corinne is a singer, actress, writer, producer, director, and I’m sure a few more things, but most importantly she is driven. Review, Rate, and Share our podcast. This week’s bonus episode is a special one for me because I am obsessed with Saturday Night Live. The process of the show and the amazing sketches that come from it.  I interviewed former SNL Musician JZ Zonars who started there as an intern, he has a great story about how that came about, then climbed the ladder to eventually being a sketch musician.  After leaving SNL he became a record consultant and worked with John Mayer, Demi Lovato, System of a Down, and the Jonas Brothers.  I actually went to high school with their bass player Greg Garbowski and JZ had great things to say about him.  We also talked about former cast members, the birthplace of Ron Burgundy, some of the famous songs from the show, and so much more.   Review, Rate, and Share our podcast. We usually try to get either a director, writer, actor, producer, or special effects for the sequel that we are covering. Well, this week's guest did every single one of those jobs for our next film, "Terror Toons 3."  Joe Castro grew up in a small town where he fell in love with monster movies at a young age. It was from a combination of a magazine he bought about monsters and from the time his dad showed him a Godzilla movie.  Joe had the support from his family to support his dreams of making movies by buying him a video camera when they cost as much a car! He took risks and reached out to horror legend Tom Savini for help on special effects and the rest is history. He has some amazing stories from his journey in Hollywood and you are going to love him.   Joe's IMDb is here https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0145581/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0  Link to buy his new film "Xenophobia" https://www.walmart.com/ip/Xenophobia-DVD/938348564?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227301551572&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=374613255557&wl4=aud-430887228898:pla-794192676409&wl5=9004016&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=938348564&veh=sem&gclid=Cj0KCQiA0NfvBRCVARIsAO4930l4pEJqA-99hNm_LLvdZ4Y-IT67MOsh6dq6WCfAK8UTi4e7cmIDt4YaAgVXEALw_wcB  Watch "Terror Toons 3" before our review FREE with Amazon Prime Follow us on all social media @sequelsonly --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Today we have a bonus episode for you. So when we started this adventure into reviewing and interviews folks involved with movie sequels, we had a side agenda of interview everyone who is involved in various roles behind the scenes as well and here is our first one.  We were looking for an interview with an actor involved in Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3 and started going back in forth with the agent for  R. A. Mihailoff who played Leatherface.  That agent was Judy Fox and she was so kind in communicating with us to find the time that worked, so we asked her,"Can we interview you about your career?" and she agreed.  Judy didn't start in Hollywood like others and she is the Personal Talent Manager to horror legends plus she's a movie producer too.   Watch next week's movie Ace Ventura Jr on Amazon Prime! Here is her IMDB to see the films she was casting director and producer for   https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2211881/  Her website with her amazing actors she represents is here  http://www.susans-own.com/fox2/
