On this episode, Michael travels to Dharamsala, India to interview Lhapka Tsering, who had set himself on fire in 2006 to protest China’s occupation of Tibet. He had lived to tell the tale, but how was it that this entrepreneur, father, and theater activist had come to commit such a radical act at the risk of sacrificing his own life? And what did his commitment to his mission have to teach others as an entrepreneur? The story that unfolded as Michael sat down with Lhapka included a dramatic escape from Tibet at nine years old, his activism, and of course, a defining moment in his life when he became known as “self-immolation man”.
