In the summer of 1974, a war was brewing between Kay Hoyt Hein and her married lover, Harold Nokes. After she called off their affair, Harold lashed out. He poisoned her lawn. Two adrenaline junkies quickly became best friends because of their mutual love of skydiving. The pair, Els Clottemans and Els Van Doren, first met in 2005 through a skydiving club in Belgium.
