Desirae Endres is a work from home mom and podcaster. Her passion for the message of minimalism and living intentionally started as she jumped into the journey with her husband just over a year ago and got rid of 3/4 of their belongings and downsized into a much smaller home. She soon found the peace and life change that comes from decluttering and having less possessions and wanted to share that message and share her story, so out of that came the Minimalish podcast- a podcast encouraging women and moms to find more time and more joy through having less stuff cluttering up their homes and through slower, intentional living. In This Episode, You Will Learn: What life was like for Desirae prior to learning about minimalism. How Desirae keeps a clutter-free home (even with a busy toddler). How to handle grandparents who want to fill your home with toys. The first steps toward decluttering your home (and life). What to do if your partner isn’t interested in minimalism. When Philadelphia Eagles tight end Fred Hill’s 3-year-old daughter, Kim, was being treated for leukemia in 1974, his life changed. He and his wife, Fran, camped out on hospital benches and sat in cramped waiting rooms during Kim’s three years of treatment. The Hills watched other parents and families of seriously ill children do the same thing. Many of the families had to travel long distances for their children to receive medical treatment and couldn’t afford hotel rooms. The Hills knew there had to be a solution. Fred rallied the support of his teammates to raise funds. Through Jim Murray, the Eagles’ general manager, the team offered its support to Dr. Audrey Evans, head of the pediatric oncology unit at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Evans dreamed of a comfortable temporary residence for families of children being treated at her hospital. Jim enlisted Don Tuckerman from the local McDonald’s advertising agency, who with the support of McDonald’s Regional Manager Ed Rensi, launched the St. Patrick’s Day Green Milkshake (dubbed the Shamrock Shake) promotion. Funds raised helped buy an old house located near the hospital, which was opened in 1974 as the first Ronald McDonald House. There are now have more than 365 Ronald McDonald Houses that serve more than 7200 families a night around the world. In This Episode, You Will Learn: How the Philadelphia Eagles rallied to support the Fred and Fran Hill when their daughter, Kim, was diagnosed with leukemia. Welcome to the Inspiration Rising podcast! My name is David Trotter, and I'm here to inspire you to rise up in your life, love, and leadership.   I used to love stress! I would create scenarios where I would feel stressed to experience that hit of adrenaline that would make me feel alive and motivate me to get all sorts of stuff done. I was stressed out from 1998 to 2008. I was a workaholic, and I thrived on stress. The major downside was...stress didn’t help my relationships or my soul. It made me short, impatient, and critical (more than usual I should say), and it caused a constant buzz in my mind and heart. 11 years ago after a major meltdown, peace became a major value for me, so I actively seek to cultivate, and that’s what I want to share with you today. Here are four questions to ask yourself if you want to handle stress like a boss babe... What’s causing me stress? What am I afraid of? What can I do about it? What do I need to release? Stacey Robbins is a Renaissance woman who lives life by inspiration as a Coach, Speaker, Italian Retreat Leader. She is the Author of An Unconventional Life: Where Messes and Magic Collide, You’re Not Crazy and You’re Not Alone, and Bloom Beautiful. Her career began as a professional musician when she was 15, working as a songwriter, pianist, and vocalist in solo performance as well as with many other talented artists, but when she was 27 hit a health bump that dramatically shifted her life. After a parade of misdiagnoses, gaining 100 pounds in a year and becoming so ill that she could barely get out of bed, the doctors told her to get her affairs in order. Stacey began pursuing her health from a deeply spiritual angle that led her to shine a flashlight down all the corridors of her life: Thoughts, Beliefs, Patterns, Relationships, Spiritual Practices, Self-Care, Food, and Exercise. Through that experience and years of research of a diagnosis with Hashimoto’s (an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid and therefore every cell in your body) she has been able to speak all over the US and reach people all over the world with her healing insights that she discovered through her own sacred journey. Now, in addition to her coaching and book writing, Stacey creates gorgeous, transformational, self-care experiences through her international retreats and workshops, empowering women to risk adventure as a way to live from what she calls their “Brave Soul Place.” Stacey resides in Southern California with her author, tech-geek, musician husband and their two amazing, curly-haired teenage sons. In This Episode, You Will Learn: Why risk-taking is important to cultivate in our lives. What happens to our minds and hearts when we take risks.
