In this episode:

  • Modeling behaviors that matter to you

  • Sharing your growth with your partner

  • Focusing on what YOU can actually control

  • Having a REAL conversation about your vision

What I want to talk about today, is getting your significant other (or really anyone in your life) on board. The questions I get nearly daily, are around how I “convinced” my fiance to workout with me, or how did I “make” him care more about his own personal growth journey like I do, and how did I get him on board with my vision for my business.. And in short, I STOPPED trying to convince or pull him, because that never worked anyways.

I’m not a relationship expert, but I have learned a lot going through this process myself and I wanted to share a few tips for navigating getting someone in your life on board that I have found to be helpful. I hope you find these tips impactful for ANY relationship in your life and I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Quotes:

“I knew for me personally, I wasn’t gonna marry someone or have a thriving relationship that I wanted, if he didn’t have his own growth mindset for himself because HE wanted it.”

“You are on a team. It’s you two versus your problems or your challenges wanting to grow together. You’re not versus each other.”

“It’s not fair to you nor is it fair to the people out there who are counting on you to show up as your most confident authentic self and do the things that you feel called to do.”

“You might be pleasantly surprised with someone who wants to support you if you tell them what supporting you looks like and what that would mean to you and why you need that.”
