In June 2016, American Joshua Holt traveled to Venezuela to get married. As part of a crackdown on crime under the government of Nicolás Maduro, he and his wife were suddenly rounded up and taken to El Helicoide, a now-infamous prison in the heart of Caracas, known for torture, physical violence and overcrowding. They would spend the next two years there. With the help of journalist Becky Bruce, Josh tells the story of how they managed to find Hope in Darkness.
