Boxing champ Andre Ward is the host of Season 5 of EPIX "The Contender." Ward enjoyed a 13-year undefeated career, holding multiple world titles in two weight classes. He also won the gold medal in the light heavyweight division in the 2004 Summer Olympics. The Contender is a new version of the seminal boxing franchise executive produced by Emmy award-winning producer Mark Burnett. The 12-episode competitive boxing docuseries, produced by MGM Television and Paramount Television, is hosted by undefeated boxing champion Andre Ward, will premiere on EPIX August 24, 2018 at 9 PM ET/PT.
