This week we're throwing it back to some of our most popular episodes! The one y'all listened to most aired back in November and it's actually one of our faves too because it's just an honest conversation about where we were at in business, motherhood and life. We kind of messed up the recording and it's a bit of a hodgepodge but we're all about sharing the perfectly imperfect with you and apparently you guys like it too 😜 Listen in as we talk about feedback versus criticism and the difference between problem finders and problem solvers. And then we get into what kind of traits we want our kids to have and we offer some life advice about being in control of your own happiness.

It's Friday! Which means we recorded this last night while getting litty for Late Night Live. There's nothing like a drunk podcast 😜 We start off talking about how we want and accept feedback from others and then end up finding our favourite way to tell people to shut up when they're telling us something we don't want to hear soooo that basically sums up how this episode goes - all over the place!!! We chat about the crazy world of social media, government and news reports (even though we don't really know what's going on) and then we get into some very inappropriate conversations about "fun foreplay". So many laughs!! Tune in Tuesdays & Fridays for a new #MOMTRUTHS podcast and every Thursday for a new Cocktails & Convos interview! Between COVID and the world taking a stand against racism (which is amazing), 2020 is a year for all of us to feel uncomfortable and to work through it. At the end of the day, we want to be known for building a community and bringing ALL women together, and we want to make sure we're educating our children to be conscious, empathetic humans who stand up for those who are being treated unfairly. Recording a podcast remotely is hard y'all! We're blaming the audio issues on COVID (among many other things). Honestly, we are NOT OKAY with this "new normal"... Working from home with kids is stressful, having to enforce "home schooling" is stressful, making every single meal every single day is stressful, keeping our kids in lockdown and managing moods is stressful and it's all just A LOT. In terms of business, we're trying to check ourselves constantly and adapt to the changes because the more comfortable we get with where we're at the more successful we'll be. And in terms of motherhood, we're confident in knowing that we're good moms but we're not perfect moms... Physical distancing is in full effect over here. We’ve recorded over 80 podcast episodes and this is the first one we’re recording while separated from each other! We’ve always been “stay at home moms” in a sense and our business has always been mostly digital, so even though it may seem like not much has changed for us since COVID hit, EVERYTHING has changed for us and we’re just trying to double down and figure out ways to make things better moving forward. Our conversations fluctuate based on how we're feeling in the moment (and also how drunk we are). We're still working but we miss the spontaneity of our business the way it was before lockdown. We were about to sign our dream offer but it all came to a halt when COVID-19 hit. So we let you in on some business talk and we also share what fuels us, how we're functioning in isolation and how we're grieving for our community around us. We also talk about why women supporting women is so important and it's something we've been teaching our daughters to do from a very young age. In this week’s episode, we started things off on a more serious note - addressing the Coronavirus and how it’s drastically changing everyone’s lives. But in true Cat & Nat fashion, we want to bring a lightness to the situation because we have seven kids looking at us every single day and a whole community surrounding us. So, we’re staying positive through this self-isolation and trying to find ways to continue running our business while giving everyone added value and a much-needed dose of happiness in a really difficult time. We’re no experts in dealing with a pandemic, but we offer some suggestions for entrepreneurs and business owners and give advice to people who are struggling. Aaaand then we go off on a tangent about dildos, climaxing, masturbation and crotch rockets to really lift the mood 😜 Join us for FIVE Late Night Live events over the next five weeks! Well, we like to leave things to the very last minute, so we recorded this week’s episode in a car on our way back to London after our Manchester show! We re-cap our trip to the UK (so much happened), chat about the amazing collabs we did and give you a quick update on what we have planned for the next few months. Plus, we got a call that we’ve been waiting on for the past seven years….. This episode is a serious hodgepodge of stories and advice, and we also get into a deep and important convo with our special guest, Hassan (aka Daddy), who always has such an interesting perspective on everything in life. WOW - WHAT AN EPISODE 🤪 We started things off with a bang (aka typical Cat & Nat “off the rails” nonsense) and continued bantering about basically anything and everything (Gianni, salami, etc.). In this week’s episode, we explain how we’re finally in a place where we’re open to hearing the advice and opinions of others. By listening to the outside perspective and insight of our newest team member, we’ve been able to implement new digital + brand systems and strategies that will help us run (and grow) our business. We’re in love with life right now because we're doing what we love and we’re having fun doing it. We’re beginning to strategize and thoughtfully plan out our next steps rather than just reacting to what’s happening around us. We also chat more about our two products (the Tween & Teen Group and our Late Night Live events), which we believe in so much because they add value to people’s lives, and how we’re making them into what we want them to be. And we share some of our own advice in business and parenting. FIND OUT MORE: For tickets to our UK Shows and "Off The Rails" tour, go to catandnat.ca/tour. We also re-cap the iHeart Radio Awards (and how we lost), let you in on how our production team pitches our show to networks and share some details about our new podcast series that’s coming your way soon. We hit you with some #MOMTRUTH moments about being open with our kids, as well as some biz discussions about how being too nice can ultimately sink your business and how we need a strategy plan in order to convert our value into money. This week's podcast was a funny one...lots of hidden gems in here. We let you in on how we've been feeling lately about our business and how it took a company crisis to overcome conflict and find clarity in order to move forward as a team. But of course we mixed some OTR moments into our business convos!! We FaceTimed our stripper (and his mom), called Cat's husband to explain our new/genius idea that has already been stolen and shared our childhood fears about doing the dirty and how we escaped it all. Plus, we leave you with the 7-minute challenge. We're never scripted and always uncensored, and we just hope you enjoy the real, raw and crazy that comes at ya each week. It's the holidays, so we took a bit of a break from recording and decided to throw it back to an old and outrageous episode from earlier this year! We talk a lot about entrepreneurship and the types of jobs we've had and our motivations behind them, but of course we can't get through an entire episode being serious, soooo we went off the rails with a convo all about masturbation. We share advice for mamas and business owners about bucking the system of "normal" and committing to who you really are rather than trying to conform to something you're not, BUT we also drop a few more f-bombs than usual so maybe wear headphones?? 😜 Follow us on Instagram @catandnat and on Tik Tok @catandnatofficial for more uncensored content. We're gearing up to attend a party for Toronto's Most Influential People which has us (mostly just Nat) thinking about where we stand in life on a scale from one to ten and subsequently sharing our average rankings with all things considered. Plus, we're answering your questions about getting caught up in the comparison trap, how to get over feelings of intimidation, how we choose our team members, and what our biggest roadblock has been so far. We also get into the details of a private school application gone way wrong, which is likely due to the fact that we are so NOT rule followers. Our podcast is like a best friend - it's conversations we've been having for so many years that we're now sharing with all of you. Although we can get crazy and go off the rails, we do talk a lot about business and we reflect on where we've come from, how we got here and our goals for the future. Everything we say can be related to any kind of relationship whether you're listening as a business owner, entrepreneur, mom, wife or friend. In this week's episode, we talk about making mistakes and the importance of exposing your weaknesses and knowing when and how to apologize. We also share some eye-opening situations we've experienced. In some cases, we’ve had to swallow our balls, and other times, we’ve needed to speak up when something didn't feel right. This week’s podcast is brought to you by…Ruggable rugs are unlike any other rugs we've seen before. In this episode, we chat about all the things in life that women have to dedicate their time and energy to on a daily basis (relationship, home, kids, work, friends, self etc.) and how it’s impossible to give each area of your life an equal amount of focus at one time. We also discuss the fact that everyone has a different capacity and how you should never compare yourself and what you’re capable of to that of someone else. The conversation goes on a bit of a tangent and we go OFF THE RAILS, but we finish things off by leaving you with three pieces of homework: try and figure out what your capacity is, make a vision board, and if you really want something, tell yourself you want it and you deserve it and then work hard for it.This week’s podcast is brought to you by…Ruggable is one of our sponsors and we are all about these machine washable, waterproof, stain resistant and non-toxic rugs (because how could you not be?!). The two-piece system makes the rugs non-slip and easy to remove for washing or changing up the designs! Go to myruggable.com/catandnat and 15% off your order and free shipping will be automatically applied to your purchase. And check them out on Insta for some amazing design inspo. In this episode, we talk all about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and why not everyone is cut out for it, the whole culture of collaboration over competition and why it doesn't always work in business, and why women shouldn't have to defend themselves if they choose not to go back to work after they have kids. Once we cover all of that, we start listing off all the things we don't want to see men doing (ie. sitting on toilets, shaving their balls, flossing their teeth, etc.) which took the conversation right into bathtub sex and a story that has never been told before (like ever)!!We are so grateful to have two amazing sponsors on board who have taken a chance on us and who believe in the two us and our community. Keep reading for some amazing promos that we get to share with you!Ruggable is a company created by a woman who is just like us and who was having the same issues with rugs that we've experienced (due to kids, pets, life...). Ruggable rugs are machine washable, waterproof, stain resistant and non-toxic - basically a mom's dream, and the two-piece system makes the rugs non-slip and easy to remove for washing or changing up the designs! Go to myruggable.com/catandnat and 15% off your order and free shipping will be automatically applied to your purchase. And check them out on Insta for some gorgeous design inspo. In this episode, we look back to seven years ago when we started all of this and everyone thought we were crazy, and we realize just how far we've come. We continue to put things out there into the universe and then it comes to us, but it's not just "luck" or "coincidence" - it takes a lot of hard work and perseverance and it's all about believing in yourself and not taking "no" for an answer. We share some important advice on how to grow a brand/business and what it comes down to is just starting and not stopping!! One brand that is killing it at growing their business and their community is FabFitFun, which is why we love being a #FabFitFunPartner and totally respect what they're all about and what they've created. FabFitFun is a seasonal subscription box that offers full size beauty, fashion, home, fitness and wellness products (valued at over $200+) for only $49.99!! When you're the one trying to plan date night, and packing the lunches, and managing homework, and tutoring, and sleepovers, and the kids frustrations, and your partners frustrations, and trying to work yourself, etc etc......it's a LOT. This episode is all about the weight that most women carry that still goes unacknowledged in most families. Maybe inspired by Father's Day....For more #MOMTRUTHS head to catandnat.ca to see new videos, get the book, or listen to more podcast episodes!

We want to ensure we're not just teaching our kids to be kind but also teaching them that keeping their voice and being true to themselves is just as important as being kind. Being resilient is at the core of both who we want them to be and what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Looking for the best Mother's Day gift?  We just released a limited amount of signed book + game bundles over at www.momtruthsgame.com

Well, we didn't, BUT we did talk a lot about the types of jobs we've had and what our motivations behind them were. Lots of entrepreneur talk, but also the occasional masturbation discussion. Want to hear us podcast live?  We'll be coming to a city near you in 2019.  Head to catandnat.ca/tour to find out where we'll be coming next! It's so rewarding to us to hire other women to help us grow this community of women. We understand each others pressures. We understand each other's work ethic. Women will communicate when they have something to say. And we understand each other's circumstances, without judgement. We're all about it, and we tell you a little bit about our approach in this episode. We also get into what makes us "good moms"....whatever that means. Plus a phone call from Nat's Mom as we tell her we made #1 on the Globe and Mail Bestsellers List again.  To get the book head over to catandnat.ca/book

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that what we do is work and a business, because we enjoy ourselves so much. And what's usually a hard topic for people to talk about publically (like sex), we're comfortable with, while what might be easier for others to talk about (like business) it doesn't always come naturally to us. You know we're back, like we never left....... (anyone get that reference?)Season 2 ya'll! It's like we never left.  Maybe because we didn't actually. Pretty into podcasts over here. So in this one we get into the Mom Rut a little bit more and explain why we felt so compelled to book a vacation with our kids for two weeks in February. Spoiler Alert: It's all about smiling. We also go on a nice little tangent about what some of our "failures" have been and how we don't let them become setbacks. We're also stoked to have Summerfresh on board this season supporting the podcast because 1) They're a Canadian Company 2) They were started by a woman.
