Jason Wu is a world-renowned Taiwanese-Canadian fashion designer based out of New York City, who's literally designed everything but the kitchen sink. Getting his start designing clothes for dolls, Jason started his own line after dropping out of college. He's also designed furniture and even has his own faucet. He gained world-wide fame when a certain Senator's wife named Michelle Obama started wearing his clothes and chose one of his dresses for the inaugural ball in 2009. This year Target is rereleasing some of their best designer collaborations from the past 20 years, and Jason is one of them. If Michelle Obama isn't enough, you've also seen his designs worn by the likes of Emma Stone, Reese Witherspoon, Emily Blunt, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Alba and a slew of other celebs.

When you're the great great grand daughter of one of the biggest and most famous human rights activists in history, there might be some preconceived expectations of how you're supposed to live your life. However, radio personality Medha Gandhi takes it in stride. As co-host of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show in New York City, she is outspoken but doesn't see herself as representing anybody but herself.  After an internship at a local Columbus radio station, Medha was hooked and has been working in radio ever since. Making hair and body products in her Brooklyn kitchen ended up taking Lisa Price into the business world and even Oprah. Lisa's company, Carol's Daughter is now in retail stores across the country. The company is named after Lisa's mother, Carol who taught Lisa the value of positive thinking and hard work. In 2002 Lisa landed a coveted guest spot on Oprah which changed everything. Lisa is the author of 2004's "Success Never Smelled So Sweet: How I Followed My Nose and Found My Passion”.  Lisa discusses her influential mother and how listening to her gut helped her business grow. Craig Dubitsky is one of the friendliest guys out there. He's the founder of Hello Products, an oral care company that stresses natural products and a friendly approach to dental health. He has a ton of experience under his belt. He was an early investor and board member in Method cleaning products. He is cofounder of lip balm maker Eos Products. He was the CMO of Popcorn, Indiana, a special advisor to Seventh Generation, helped launch Boots in the US and is the Chairman of Lexicon’s Advisory Board. He was named to Advertising Age’s Creativity 50 as one of the Most Influential and Innovative Creative Thinkers and Doers. Craig is obsessed with design and connecting with the consumer, you can see it in the things he makes. He started Hello Products after being unimpressed with the unfriendly packaging of toothpaste brands in a New York City drug store. He wanted to make something more personable because that's what he is. Rocco DiSpirito is a James Beard award-winning Chef, author of several bestselling books, and a television host. He began his culinary career at the ripe age of 11 scooping Italian ices at a pizzeria so he could afford to buy his favorite Kiss album. That pizzeria introduced him to the joys of food. After graduating High school early, Rocco enrolled in the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, and began learning from the best chefs in the world. He talks to Bobbi about opening his first restaurant, Union Pacific in 1997 which launched him into food stardom. From there, Rocco began appearing on numerous television shows, and started writing cookbooks. Through many life events, Rocco began to look at food as a way to help people by creating recipes that are healthy and indulgent. Now, Rocco is back behind the line as the chef of The Standard that introduces people to delicious food that is both delicious AND healthy.

Not only does The Laundress have an array of fantastic all-natural cleaning products, they also offer a bunch of resources on how to clean any article of clothing on their website! In this conversation, Lindsey talks about how she got the idea for The Laundress and teaming up with one of her former classmates from Cornell University to create a first of its kind collection of clean laundry detergent more. Mickey Boardman is the editorial director and advice columnist for PAPER Magazine. He's been a constant fixture in New York fashion and culture for the last 3 decades, you may have seen him as a commentator on networks like VH-1, A&E, CNN, E! and Fox News. Since 1993, he has written the advice column “Ask Mr. Mickey” in PAPER, where he first started working as an intern and is now the Editorial Director.  On this episode, Bobbi talks to Mickey about how he helped break the internet with Kim Kardashian's cheeky Paper magazine cover (among others), his early struggles with addiction, and his thoughts on body image for himself and in culture.

In the 90's Candace Bushnell helped create a whole new vernacular for successful single women. She turned her Sex and the City New York Observer column into a book, which was then bought by HBO. The rest is television and film history. Candace is a bestselling author and producer. Two of her other bestselling books, Lipstick Jungle and The Carrie Diaries, were turned into television series.  Candace tells Bobbi about her early New York days hanging out in Studio 54, and how Sex and the City stemmed from her experiences with her friends, and single female culture in New York in the early 90s. Matt Higgins is a self-made man and his story is the perfect example of how hard work and tenacity pays off. He grew up in Queens, NY hawking flowers on street corners and working at McDonald’s to help put food on the table for his family. Coming from a single parent household, Matt dropped out of high school to fast-track his graduation by obtaining a GED and enrolling in college at age 16. Seamus Mullen is an award-winning New York chef, cookbook author and health and a leading authority on health & wellness. On today’s show, model, author and activist, Charli Howard joins Bobbi to talk about making changes in how society views women. Early in her modeling career, Charli was unable to book modeling jobs because she was not a "typical" sized model. Even though she fit into a size 6, the industry at large rejected her, and because of that she did everything she could to try and fir their standards. After a shoot that went awry, her agency dropped her. Charli then took to Facebook to air her grievances about the industry at large, and her post went viral. This moment not only changed everything for Charli but helped make the modeling industry a little bit better. She used her platform to create The All Woman Project, a charity which goes into schools to educate about body image and mental health issues. Charli also recently released her first book Misfit, which you can buy where ever books are sold.

Friend and Super Bowl champion, Michael Strahan joins Bobbi to talk about his incredible journey from a husky little kid to one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history. Adi Arezzini is the co-founder of the tea and wellness company Teami Blends! She started her company at the age of 23 right after serving in the Israeli Army, when she started having digestive issues. In an effort to find an alternative to drugs or medicine, Adi read books about colon health and the negative effects accumulated toxins can have on your body, and began creating tea blends in her bedroom. Liz Murray has an incredible well-publicized story, which highlights her journey from homeless high school student to Harvard graduate. Liz’s story was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, made into a Lifetime Television film, and chronicled in her memoir, Breaking Night: My Journey from Homeless to Harvard. She was born to loving but drug-addicted parents in the Bronx. At age 15, Liz found herself on the streets when her family finally unraveled. She learned to scrape by, foraging for food and riding subways all night to have a warm place to sleep. When Liz's mother died of AIDS, she decided to take control of her own destiny and go back to high school, often completing her assignments in the hallways and subway stations where she slept. Liz squeezed four years of high school into two, while homeless; won a New York Times scholarship; and made it into the Ivy League halls of Harvard. In this episode, Liz talks to Bobbi about her journey, and how she is trying to make the world a better place by mentoring at risk youth through the foundation she co-founded called the Arthur Project. Caroline Hirsch is the owner and operator of, Caroline's on Broadway, one of New York's longest running and most renown comedy clubs, a staple in the NY comedy scene. For decades Caroline has been hosting some of the brightest stars in comedy and is credited for giving some of today's greatest comics their start including Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Sandra Bernhard, Pee Wee Herman, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and, later, Chris Rock, among others. What started out as a small venue soon earned its place as a mandatory New York stop and a rite of passage on the way to making it in the comedy business. If that's not enough she also founded the NY Comedy Festival. Jen Atkin is a hustler. At 19 she flew out to Los Angeles from her home state of Utah with $300 bucks in her pocket and a dream.
