When friends play together it allows them to let things go, which not only strengthens their bond, but also makes music more fun.The passion to pursue a career in music also pushes you to travel and see the world for yourself. It offers a learning opportunity and a chance to get to know great people. Hello Hello - Music Lovers!I hope this latest writing finds you well and your belly full of turkey leftovers. In the great words of Dave Matthews and others before him... Eat, Drink and be Merry! This time I am getting back to you with Erin Fox . In our latest episode we discuss her solo work and her band  Resilient. Erin is a singer and songwriter; and she has been performing in the local music community for almost two decades.Philly’s own Resilient serves to bring diverse and more electrifying music to the public. It’s a femme-driven band headed by songwriter Erin Fox, supported by her sister, Katie Fox, who is a drummer in the band. This band melds together 90’s influenced grunge rock with modern pop undertones to form a sui generis sound all on their own. Erin brings in what she refers to as a ‘song fetus’ composed on simple riffs and incomplete lyrics. The light, folky pop of her current ‘EP Your Joy’, and her first solo album, ‘Forbidden Youth’, both self-released albums are a source of amazement. Highlights:- What it's like to grow up in a music family in Philly - How Life inspires art with her song "Tim for Doctor" with Health Care - Her love of Prince and cover of "Nothing Compares to U" - The importance of both being in a band and going solo - The importance of meditation and how her day begins and ends - So Much more! Erin developed an interest in music very early on in life. Growing up in a music family in Philly was a blessing for her. She was inspired by her mother and wanted to be just like her. Her sister was the reason she started playing music in the first place.  She loved Prince and his song ‘Nothing Compares to U’. She is a huge fan of Prince and we share that in common. It was his energy that she was most fond of. After working in her band Sugar High, she started working on her solo songs with her first release in July 2018. She said that when you work solo, everything has to come from you. While working in a band you get ideas from people working with you.Erin loves to meditate and she starts her day doing some physical activities and meditation. Her song ‘Time for Doctor’ is a perfect blend of how life inspires art. She had an experience with cancer which inspired this song. ‘Time for Doctor’ comes from a place of frustration with our current state of health care in the U.S.  She suggested that we can always do better and learn from the experiences of others. Her song ‘Tomorrow’s Yesterday’ is also from her personal experiences, mainly those with her family and friends. Catch the latest episode and listen to Erin and find out how she beat cancer with music. Here are links to Erin’s websites:https://erinfox.bandcamp.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDqDfHX9rln7rvXrf4zxXxg http://resilienttheband.com/about-us/ Here is a link to my last newsletter:https://us12.admin.mailchimp.com/templates/share?id=92794697_792355d83291c8276048_us12Let's officially Swagger then SwerveSwagger Swerve LinksGet in tune with your inner creativity with Swagger Swerve here: https://swaggerswerve.squarespace.comLet me know what you think by subscribing on social mediaYou can follow Geoff from Swagger Swerve at:Website: http://swaggwerswerve.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/swaggerthenswerveFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/swaggerswerveGeoff's New Program on how to release one song a month for the next 12 months - Music GSD (Get S Done) https://swaggerswerve.squarespace.com/store

When he was merely weeks away from not making it, Microsoft sent him an e-mail with a proposition to use his “Too Close” song for a commercial. After he agreed to let them use his song, it became the 80th most Shazamed search of all time. Alex has found his own path of making music with an individuality that expressed across his album “Three Days in Greenmount”. The album showed that if your music sounds great acoustically, then you have a good song. This album is a new rendering of his songs, coming straight from his heart. He is currently touring to promote his new album. Check out Alex's tour dates and info on his new album here:https://www.alexclare.com/     https://www.youtube.com/user/alexclarehttps://www.instagram.com/alexanderclare/?hl=enhttps://www.facebook.com/alexclaremusic/ Some of his earlier memories musically were singing along Bill Withers. Alex loved the sound of R+B and Soul. Alex grew up listening to his father’s jazz records, he took up the drums and a trumpet as a teenager, but after reaching adulthood, he shifted his focus towards guitar-based songwriting. He was drawn towards soul artists like Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, which eventually led his interest to shift towards drum and bass, dubstep, and UK garage. According to Alex, there are no rules in songwriting, it’s just variances of moods, influences, and emotions.Catch our latest episode and listen to Alex Clare talk about his inspirations and how his religion played an important part in his career. Here is a link to my last newsletter:https://us12.admin.mailchimp.com/templates/share?id=92794697_792355d83291c8276048_us12Let's officially Swagger then SwerveSwagger Swerve LinksGet in tune with your inner creativity with Swagger Swerve here: https://swaggerswerve.squarespace.comLet me know what you think as well by subscribing on social mediaYou can follow Geoff from Swagger Swerve at:Website: http://swaggwerswerve.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/swaggerthenswerveFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/swaggerswerveGeoff's New Program on how to release one song a month for the next 12 months - Music GSD (Get S Done) https://swaggerswerve.squarespace.com/storeGeoff

Hello - Hello!I hope you have been reading my newsletters lately. As you know, we have a passion of keeping people informed about the music world and the joys it brings all us music lovers. So, this week we are bringing to you Crystal Tamar from Houston, Texas who is known for being a former member of  Sophia Fresh. With Sophia Fresh now in her rare-view mirror, Crystal Tamar is forging a new path for herself as a solo artist. She is coming out strong with her debut single “Nowhere”. It’s the very first song that she has recorded and it’s really special to her. It’s very close to her heart and exemplifies the sentiment she lives by.Check out her song by clicking on the links below:Crystal Tamar - "Nowhere"Crystal Tamar - "Nowhere" (Acoustic Music Video)Links to Crystal Tamar: Instagram | Facebook | Twitter  The song ‘Nowhere’ records her the different journeys she undertook in her life. The song narrates all the times she has traveled from city to city but she admits that she is really nowhere without the love of her life.  Her smooth vocals shape this special love solo and you can hear the emotions in her voice when she sings, “Boy I just want us to grow. Even though they’ll be some pain”,. What she is trying to say through this song is “So come on, let me take you to the Bay and let me take you to my hometown and lets do love here and there.”If you are an introvert and wants to continue working as a musician, Crystal has a different way to help you find a work-life balance. She’s an introvert but she knows how to balance life. She’s has got a low-key vibe and a flash as she thinks balance is everything for her. Gospel music was a transformation for her as it allowed her to learn how to deliver the message she was trying to send, it allowed her to communicate better, to express herself. Her R&B girl group ‘Sophia Fresh’ got booed on their tour with T-Pain. After that, they won the world by their high energy and funky music. If you are an artist and are trying to overcome self-doubt, then Crystal has some advice for you that came out of her own experiences. She said that having a support system around you helps you a lot. You can’t do things alone and need your friends and family around. With strong support, you can ride the waves and touch the sky. Being away from home was a great deal for Crystal. This took her energy away from work, but at that time, her salvation was faith -- she started praying. She explained that her faith is so important to her and God is there to look over you. This faith is what kept her going through her highs and lows. Despite her brother’s death, she kept it all together and carried on with her work. All the while praying…Catch our latest episode and listen to Crystal Tamar talk about her solo release ‘Nowhere’ and what it means to her. Here is a link to my last newsletter:https://us12.admin.mailchimp.com/templates/share?id=92794697_792355d83291c8276048_us12Let's officially Swagger then SwerveSwagger Swerve LinksGet in tune with your inner creativity with Swagger Swerve here: https://swaggerswerve.squarespace.comLet me know what you think by subscribing on social mediaYou can follow Geoff from Swagger Swerve at:Website: http://swaggwerswerve.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/swaggerthenswerveFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/swaggerswerveGeoff's New Program on ‘how to release one song a month for the next 12 months’ - Music GSD (Get S Done) https://swaggerswerve.squarespace.com/store

Hello, Hi I'm Geoff Antonio and I love talking about Music and Business. I am completely fascinated with with learning the process of artist I admire. I find people who are willing to share both their hardships and success stories true leaders we can learn from both their failures and victories. I am giving you an open invitation to join together on a journey with me to explore those stories that move us to where we truly want to be. Let us celebrate Life, Music and the Hustle of being someone of value in this Life.  How exactly do I qualify to be your guide on this journey? I've made every stupid mistake myself along the way and I am still learning today both from my own successes and failures. With one foot in Music and the other running my own business I know what it feels like to pursue your dreams while having to hustle and be able to eat. From being at one time Homeless to Living in a Rehearsal Space to breaking out and living out my dreams. As we take this next step together we will in fact Swagger then Swerve.
