Sam Cohen is a legend... And he grew up with legends walking in and out of his family's house in Alta on a daily basis. He's a wild dude with some crazy stories! Can't wait to catch up with him after so of his adventures and hear more about them.
Taken from Mystery Ranch Website:
"I’m a ski bum, a desert rat, and an aspiring environmentalist. As a kid growing up in Salt Lake City, my family would make trips to Southern Utah several times a year. The mysterious gorges and hidden sandy grottoes of Zion and Canyonlands were my playground, and would forever shape my understanding of the outdoors. It wasn’t until I was a teenager that I realized many of the wild places I cherished were threatened and needed people to protect them."
Brett Kelly grew up riding slopestyle in the midwest and later merged His passion for fitness and His love for ski and snowboarding at the US Ski & Snowboard where He initially worked as an intern prior to the 2014 Sochi Olympics. After three years working in minor league baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago White Sox as a strength coach, He finally returned to Utah and has been training the US Freeski and Freestyle teams.
On this episode I interview the strength and fitness coach for China's halfpipe team, we talk about the physiology behind skiing and so much more. It's a doozy.
As always, I love to hear your feedback and if you like it don't forget to subscribe.
I had a lot of fun talking to my old friend Teton Brown on this weeks episode of The Athletic Stance. We talked about how ski racing was a platform for success for him, his hometown, a whole new approach to fitness, how he wants to inspire the world and more...
This has to be one of my favorite conversations thus far. From an epic childhood and crazy adventures to being trapped under an avalanche thinking he was going to die, Corey really has seen it all. Check it out.
Connery is the man, I can't say enough good things about him and what he brings to the sport. His attitude is super pure, raw and authentic. He's accomplished a lot and isn't very well known. Hope you get better soon Connery!
Alex Ferreira is an average kid with a not so average life. Last week he competed in his first Olympics and won a silver medal. He's been on the scene for a while now and his training is really starting to pay off. Let me know what you think!
David Wise has been a role model for me for a long time, not only has he dominated the half pipe scene... He is a family man, a great friend and supporter of my endeavors. I feel so blessed to have had the time to get to know David better and can't wait to watch him compete in the Olympics tonight!

I was super lucky to sit down with Michelle at Western State University in Gunnison Colorado for a conversation about health, nutrition, overcoming injury, fear, dealing with death and a whole lot more.
