In this listener request episode, Heather is joined by Melissa MORGAN Humphreys (hump-freeeeeze) of the Just the Tip-sters Podcast. FINALLY!! We have been wanting to collaborate for about a year and a half? We will be discussing the murder OR death of Lana Clarkson. Some say murder, while others say death…because of the details and lack of evidence. This is a case that was presented to me back in Season 2 as a listener request and I asked Melissa if she would like to cover it with me. Which, I’m glad she did, because there were so many twists and turns…plus her connection to the case is super interesting! In 2003, actress Lana Clarkson’s body was found in the foyer of record producer Phil Spector’s mansion…or as we like to call it; his Dracula castle. All the way up until about 15-20 minutes into recording, Heather was set on what she thought happened on that fateful morning. However, once she started discussing the case with Melissa…her entire viewpoint and opinion shifted!Throughout this episode, We will also discuss our theories about what may have happened as well as Phil Spector’s professional impact on the music industry.Guest: Melissa MorganPromo: Just The Tip-sters Podcast ----Find your favorite platform, buy merch, find sources, and more!https://linktr.ee/nvnpodcast Call/text us: 1-513-549-5735Email us: naturevsnarcissism@gmail.com Send us things:PO Box 498396Cincinnati, Ohio 45249

In episode 12 of Season 3; our season FINALE, we will discuss Sante Kimes. Sante Kimes is much easier to say than the mouthful of a name she was born with – Sandra Louise Singhrs. She was born on July 24, 1934 in Oklahoma City, OK. Sante was kind of a badass…but not in the good way; if there is a good way. She was motivated by money and would hurt whomever she had to in order to get what she wanted. Sante was eventually convicted of two murders, robbery, forgery, violation of anti-slavery laws, and much more. Yes, I said violation of anti-slavery laws. So, what’s that mean exactly? We had the same question until Rachelle dug into her case a bit. Sante had a way with men. A way to make them do as she said. This manipulation and perhaps fear that she put into others, is exactly how her son ended up helping her commit crimes…even murder. Yep, mommy and Clyde. As promised: This is Ken Jr's article https://narratively.com/my-mother-taught-me-to-kill/#:~:text=Kenneth%20Kimes%20Jr.%20is%20currently,cautionary%20tale%20to%20help%20others. In this listener request episode, Heather is joined by Jon Towers of the Abracast Podcast. We will be discussing the Smiley Face Killers…or rather, the theory that they exist. This is a case that Jon presented to me back in Season 2 and he has some interesting insights and connections to different locations within the case(s). In 2008, retired New York Police Department detective Kevin Gannon and his team of investigators went public with their theory and have attempted to prove the existence of the Smiley Face Killers. They believe the serial killer gang murders college-aged men and dumps their remains in nearby bodies of water, leaving behind sinister happy face graffiti at the death sites. So, we are going to discuss several of the deaths that have led police to believe in the existence of this sinister gang. We will also discuss our theories about what may have happened to the victims mentioned in this episode. Additionally, we discuss our morbid curiosity with bones (human?)…found in one of our yards! We will be posting these photos on the website as well!Guest: Jon Towers Promo: The Abracast Podcast ----Find your favorite platform, buy merch, find sources, and more!https://linktr.ee/nvnpodcast Call/text us: 1-513-549-5735Email us: naturevsnarcissism@gmail.com Send us things: PO Box 498396 Cincinnati, Ohio 45249

In episode 11 of Season 3, we will discuss Clementine Barnabet; or should we say, Clementine BarnaBRAT?! This is another older case…so the exact day that Clementine was born on, is unclear. However, we do know that she was born sometime in 1894. Clementine was a serial killer and a cult member…who established the “Church of Sacrifice” with her father. This doesn’t sound scary at all…we’d totally attend every Sunday…NOT! Clementine confessed to 35 murders; 17 of which she committed by herself. That’s pretty messed up on its own. But, what if we told you that she was 15 years old when she started murdering people? Here’s the kicker; she didn’t murder one at a time – she always killed families – families whom she and her father deemed as sinners. This included young children too; as young as 11 months old. This case is kind of like a roller coaster ride; so be sure to keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times. Once the ride is over; you’ll be shocked to see who folks believe Clementine turned out to be…Sponsor: BetterHelp - visit www.betterhelp.com/NVN for 10% off your first month!

In this listener request episode, we will be discussing a case that Ashley (from our previous bonus episode - The Serial Killer Cookbook: Interview with author Ashley Lecker) presented to me a few months back.  We will be talking about the Back 40 Murder of Margaret Anderson.  Which was a VERY VERY brutal crime.  This is your warning now…if you can’t stomach brutal details; maybe skip this episode. It actually made Heather a bit uneasy to discuss. But, if you’re a trooper and you want to listen to this episode, minus the awful details; then you can start skipping forward at 33 minutes and come back after 39 minutes and 15 seconds. This is a case that resonated with Ashley as she lives in Green Bay, WI and has been in the area her entire life. Ashley even went to the location and grabbed photos of the scenes as they look today (you will be able to find them on the social media pages and the website). You can purchase the book from Amazon: Amazon: Serial-Killer-Cookbook-Disturbingly-Delicious

In episode 10 of Season 3, we will discuss Diane Odell. Born on 1953; who, is responsible for the death of four babies…her own babies. Her case is referred to as “The Babies in Boxes Murder Case”. From that tag alone; I’m sure you can determine where her babies were found. But, do you know how long they were there?Diane ended up giving birth to a total of twelve babies…eight of which were given the chance to grow into functioning members of society. The four babies who weren’t so lucky were carried around in boxes from home to home and from state to state over the course of at least 10 years. She would have kept this up had she not defaulted on her storage rent. The storage unit was sold off and the buyer found the babies in the boxes. But why these three babies? Why did three babies die and eight babies live? In this episode, you’ll find out what Diane told the courts about the demise of her children.Diane was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, in 2004. In episode 9 of Season 3, we will discuss Charlene Adelle Gallego. Born on October 10, 1956; who, with the direction and assistance of her husband, abducted, raped, and murdered at least 10 victims. Together, the duo was known as the “sex slave killers” or the “love slave killers”. According to Charlene, her husband experienced impotence and brought forth the idea that the two could lure young women and keep them captive as their sex slaves. Apparently, she didn’t know he planned to kill them as well. But, that didn’t deter her from still helping him after the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth victims. She would lure the girls from busy malls, fairs, and even the side of the highway. Sometimes with the promise of marijuana. Once in the vehicle, her husband would force the victims in at gun point. Charlene would drive whilst her husband brutally raped the victims…sometimes for hours at a time. Once he was done with them; Charlene would pull into a deserted area off the roadway/in the woods. Her husband would exit the vehicle – with the victims – kill them, and then dump or bury their bodies in a shallow grave. This is definitely something that one should see the death penalty for…or at the very least, spend the rest of their life in prison for; right? Not in this case. Charlene is out of prison and walking among us… Sponsor: BetterHelp - visit www.betterhelp.com/NVN for 10% off your first month!Check out our website: https://www.naturevsnarcissism.com to find sources, merch, and much more!!Follow us on Twitter: @NvsNpodcastFollow us on Instagram: @naturevsnarcissismLike us on Facebook: @naturevsnarcissismJoin our Facebook Discussion Group: Nature vs Narcissism Discussion Group Call/text us: 1-513-549-5735Email us: naturevsnarcissism@gmail.com Send us things:

In episode 8 of Season 3, we will discuss Dorothea Puente…meanie grannie. Born in Redlands, California in 1929; Dorothea’s childhood was way less then ideal. By the time she was 9 years old; both her mother and her father had passed away (father from tuberculosis and mother from cancer). But that wasn’t the sad part. Her mother and father were super abusive to her. Dorothea’s formative years were scathed by abuse and torture. At some point during her adolescence, she even stayed in an orphanage for a while; where she was sexually abused. By the time Dorothea was 16, she was grown…and married her first husband. Over the next several years; she became pregnant three times. She gave one child to relatives, another – she put up for adoption, and the third was a miscarriage. By 1948; her husband had left her. Shortly thereafter, Dorothea faces her first bout of criminal trouble. She was caught and sentenced to 1 year for forging checks but was paroled after just 6 months. Dorothea then became pregnant AGAIN, by someone whom she barely even knew; and gave her daughter up for adoption, AGAIN! 1952 rolls around and she marries someone whom she stays with for 14 tumultuous years. After this is when shit gets real. Dorothea was driven for money…and did what she had to in order to get that bread. This includes old men, a boarding house, and government checks…After at least 9, but possibly 15 victims – Dorothea died in a California prison on March 27, 2011.Check out our website: https://www.naturevsnarcissism.com to find sources, merch, and much more!Follow us on Twitter: @NvsNpodcastFollow us on Instagram: @naturevsnarcissismLike us on Facebook: @naturevsnarcissismJoin our Facebook Discussion Group: Nature vs Narcissism Discussion Group Call/text us: 1-513-549-5735Email us: naturevsnarcissism@gmail.com Send us things:

In episode 7 of Season 3, we will discuss Tillie Klimek. She was a Polish-American serial killer operating in the Ukrainian village of Chicago; better known as Chicago’s Little Poland Neighborhood. Tillie was born in 1876 and died of a heart attack sitting in prison on November 20, 1936. She had at least 5 victims…possibly more. She would poison them with arsenic found in a product called “Rough on Rats”. Most serial killers operate solo; yes? Not Tillie. She was someone who seemed to really think she was above all. She was eventually referred to as “The High Priestess of the Bluebeard Clique” in the Little Poland neighborhood by the media. There were several other wives arrested for suspicion of murder of their husbands too. However, they were eventually released. One thing that makes this story even more odd; is the fact that she claimed to have precognitive dreams about her victim’s deaths. These dreams would tell her when they were going to die… Check out our website: https://www.naturevsnarcissism.com to find sources, merch, and much more!Follow us on Twitter: @NvsNpodcastFollow us on Instagram: @naturevsnarcissismLike us on Facebook: @naturevsnarcissismJoin our Facebook Discussion Group: Nature vs Narcissism Discussion Group Call/text us: 1-513-549-5735Email us: naturevsnarcissism@gmail.com Send us things:

In episode 6 of Season 3, we will discuss Blanche Taylor Moore. She is an American murderer and suspected serial killer. Blanche was born in 1933 and is currently sitting on death row, awaiting execution in a North Carolina prison. She was convicted of the 1986 arsenic poisoning of her boyfriend, BUT she is suspected of also killing her mother-in-law and her first husband, as well as the attempted murder of her second husband in 1989. As with many convicted murderers & serial killers; Blanche had a very rough upbringing. Her father was an abusive alcoholic who would pimp her out to pay his gambling debts. When she was old enough to start her own relationships/get married, she found men with the same qualities as her father. Another thing that we often see with serial killers. Throughout the proceedings, Blanche was adamant about not killing anyone & never using arsenic poison…even though there were 53 witnesses stating otherwise. She was convicted on November 14, 1990…the jury recommended the death penalty just three days later. Then on January 18, 1991; the judge agreed with the jury’s recommendation and sentenced Blanche Taylor Moore to die by lethal injection. It has been 29 years and Blanche has avoided death…still sitting in the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women. In episode 5 of Season 3, we will discuss Lizzie Halliday - an Irish-American serial killer. She was born in Ireland in 1859 but moved to the United States when she was still a young child. She married her first husband in 1879 and then sent her young son to an institution after her husband died. She moved on rather quickly though…running through and tossing out husbands as if they were expired produce. In the mid-1880’s, after her attempt to kill another husband went awry, she fled to Vermont and married someone new. However, that only lasted a couple of weeks before she fled again. In the late 1880’s, she ended up in Philadelphia, where she committed arson and fraud…landing her in the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia for 2 years. Upon her release, she immediately married again…but this will be the last time. She murdered her friend, her friend’s daughter, her stepson, her husband, and a peddler. These murders landed her in jail AND with a sentence of death. This would have made her the first woman in history, executed by the electric chair – BUT things change. She ended up serving her time in a mental institution with a life sentence as she was declared criminally insane. Lizzie committed one final murder before her death in 1918…and it was quite disturbing… Sponsor: BetterHelp - visit www.betterhelp.com/NVN for 10% off your first month!Check out our website: https://www.naturevsnarcissism.com to find sources, merch, and much more!

In episode 4 of Season 3, we will discuss Judy Buenoano - an American serial killer. She had a very terrible upbringing...BUT as we've stated plenty of times in the past, that doesn't give you the right to kill people. She apparently didn't get the memo on this though, because Judy was executed in 1971 for the murder of her son, one of her husbands, and attempted murder of another one of her husbands. For these crimes, she received a 12-year-sentence for the attempted murder of one husband, a life sentence for her son's death, and a death sentence for another husband. On top of these CONFIRMED cases, there were several others who mysteriously became ill and died while under her care/married to her. She ALSO faced several charges of insurance fraud and suspected on several counts of arson (for insurance purposes). What we've learned with this case is to NOT take out life insurance on yourself. Oh! And...change your name every time you kill someone...Check out our website: https://www.naturevsnarcissism.com to find sources, merch, and much more!

In episode 3 of Season 3, we will discuss one of the most sensationalized criminal events in Canadian history. Evelyn Dick (aka The Torso Killer) was a stunningly beautiful woman who basically grew up in a society where her looks would get her whatever she wanted. Even in the end, there was something about her that kept her from really serving time for her crimes. At the age of 24/25, she murdered and mutilated her husband...leaving only his torso on "The Mountain" (at Niagara Falls). What investigators discovered in her home though; was just as disturbing. She ended up not serving time for her estranged husband's death AND only 11 years for manslaughter of her second victim. So, who was the second victim? And what happened to her once she was paroled? IF alive today, she is 99 years old.Check out our website: https://www.naturevsnarcissism.com to find sources, merch, and much more!

This is the second episode of SEASON 3 - where we'll be discussing FEMALE KILLERS! Waneta Ethel Hoyt was an American serial killer who was convicted of killing ALL 5 of her biological children. Her children kept dying from what doctors suspected to be SIDS. However, in 1985, there was a prosecutor who was working on a murder case and was advised by a forensic pathologist that there may in fact be a serial killer in his area. The forensic pathologist suspected this AFTER reading a report on SIDS and the Hoyt family (although their names were redacted). The prosecutor became the District Attorney in 1992 and tracked down the Hoyt's even without their names being disclosed in the report. This DA was the reason that Waneta was caught. In 1995, she was sentenced to 75 years in prison...15 years per child. However, she didn't end up serving her full sentence...but why?Check out our website: https://www.naturevsnarcissism.com to find sources, merch, and much more!

However, when her friends returned...she was gone. Hours had gone by, police were notified, her mother was notified, and she still hadn't been located. You'll even hear the 911 call that her mother placed to the police. It wasn't until Sunday at around 12:48am when Kenneka Jenkins' body was discovered, frozen solid, in the hotel freezer. This will be our FINAL episode of Season 2. We know that we haven't finished the alphabet but there are some changes coming to the format, based on what the listeners want. More to come in the following days/announcements on this.In this episode, Heather is joined by Roseanne from the Killafornia Dreaming podcast to discuss Tommy Lynn Sells. Tommy was born in Oakland, California on June 28, 1964 and was a serial killer who was known to rape his victims. He gave himself the moniker of Coast to Coast Killer as he murdered his victims from states all over the nation. Although he only had a handful of confirmed victims, he claimed to have killed 70 people. One of the most disturbing aspects about this case, and really about Tommy himself, is that he didn't have a type as far as his victims. He killed men, women, and children. His murders spanned from 1980 until 1999 and he was apprehended in January of 2000. He was sentenced to death on November 8, 2000 and died of lethal injection on April 3, 2014 at a Texas prison. *As with pretty much ALL of our episodes, this is not suitable for children. We discuss VERY adult content throughout the episode. *In episode 29 of season 2, Heather is joined by Dick from the Being There and Off the Cuffs Podcasts. We discuss Steven Zelich; who is a former law enforcement officer who was convicted and imprisoned for the murders of 19-year-old Jenny Gamez and 37-year-old Laura Simonson. Both of whom were found deceased and inside of suitcases on the side of the highway. Steven was given the moniker “The Suitcase Murderer”. For this listener request episode, Heather is joined by Paul from the Varmints Podcast. Paul requested this case as he lives in Bonita Springs, FL; very close to where this murder occurred. Dr. Teresa Sievers was a very successful and well-known holistic medicine physician practicing in Bonita Springs, FL. She and her husband Mark Sievers owned and operated their own practice called Restorative Health and Healing Center. On June 28, 2015, Teresa had just returned home early from a family vacation as she had patients to see on that following Monday. No sooner than she walked into the door of her home, was she brutally murdered by not one, but two intruders. But were they there to burglarize her home and she spooked them? Or was it something more nefarious? In this episode, you’ll learn about this horribly tragic case from someone who lives in the neighborhood. You’ll also hear all about the twists and turns that this case has. Just when you think you have a solid alibi; the police swoop in and prove you wrong.Sourceshttps://www.visitflorida.com/en-us/cities/bonita-springs.htmlhttps://datausa.io/profile/geo/bonita-springs-fl/https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox4now.com/news/local-news/famous-in-swfl-who-are-the-celebrities-that-call-southwest-florida-home%3f_amp=truehttp://rgclubcard.com/bonita-estero/history-fun-facts/https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/fl/bonita-springs/crimehttps://www.winknews.com/2019/05/14/teresa-sievers-the-life-behind-the-murder-victim/https://www.news-press.com/restricted/?return=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.news-press.com%2Fstory%2Fnews%2Fcrime%2F2019%2F10%2F01%2Fteresa-sievers-murder-trial-timeline-case%2F3793769002%2Fhttps://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.news-press.com/amp/4761767002https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/teresa-sievers-murder-husband-mark-lookalike/https://youtu.be/PkvUEiQUtQYhttps://youtu.be/73BP4hdGVuIhttps://youtu.be/KICgdJZmL2E

To his victims; all of whom were from a vulnerable population as they were runaways, drug addicts, and sex workers - he was known as "Steve the Gambler". Bloodlust. In this listener request episode, Heather is joined again by Kimberly - who is a SUPER listener and Patreon supporter! She has requested a case from her small hometown in Oregon. This case stood out to her as it was all over the media at the time as nothing like that had happened in her town before. This is Part 2, so if you haven't done so already - please listen to part 1 first. We already know what the first and second officers observed at the home (blood, shell casings, sheetrock on the floor, an earring, and some meaty substance. But where were the parents? If they were dead, then who would have committed the murders, the cops would wonder. All along though, they had the suspects in their sight...at a traffic stop at 1am. By 5:30am, units were all over the home to search for the bodies and begin their investigation...their double homicide investigation.Sourceshttps://www.newspapers.com/image/?clipping_id=22542909&fcfToken=eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJmcmVlLXZpZXctaWQiOjIwMDI2OTI1MywiaWF0IjoxNTgwNDEzOTI3LCJleHAiOjE1ODA1MDAzMjd9.ATSlUYq0Hw4GRaAl-i8PaDAmvZa6D0x-Gm6E1sfYV5shttps://caselaw.findlaw.com/or-court-of-appeals/1688687.html

This case stood out to her as it was all over the media at the time as nothing like that had happened in her town before. ALSO - Brian was in her elementary school class...AND asked her out on Valentine's Day! Did she take him up on the offer? When she first reached out to me about it, I had never heard about it - which is crazy considering the details surrounding the case. Two juveniles (17-year-old Michael Ryan Sexton & 13-year-old Brian Adam Sexton) were arrested for the murder of their parents and the disposal of their bodies. Luckily though, they were terrible at covering up their crimes AND getting away. They were apprehended hours after committing the murders. But how were they caught? Well, apparently that was the opposite of what this lady thought. Christine Laverne Falling was just 17 years old when she started murdering children. These children were all under her care when they died and red flags weren't really raised. Why not? Also, why did she kill innocent children? Christine killed between the years of 1980 and 1982, until she was arrested. She was found guilty of three murders on December 3, 1982 and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for at least twenty five years. In this listener request episode, Heather is joined by Julie Ortega from the Women Behind the Veil Podcast to discuss a serial killer from Odessa, Texas. Our listener, Sal from Texas has requested this case and I'm glad that we now know about this sicko! Michael Eugene Sharp was classified as a murderer who kidnapped and raped his victims first. He had at least 2 confirmed victims but suspected of more. At the age of 28, he killed a mother (31-year-old Brenda Kay Broadway) and her 8-year-old daughter (Christy Elms). He kidnapped Brenda's 14-year-old daughter as well, but she was able to escape; which led to his arrest just 5 days later. Michael was executed by lethal injection in Texas on November 19, 1997 (at 43 years old) and 14-year-old Selena Elms attended his execution.Check out and Subscribe - Women Behind the Veil Podcast Sourceshttps://www.odessa-tx.gov/residents/august-31-2019-mass-shooting http://worldpopulationreview.com/us-cities/odessa-population/ https://datausa.io/profile/geo/odessa-tx-metro-area https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/tx/odessa/crime https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-5th-circuit/1229773.htmlhttps://www.oaoa.com/news/local/article_d28066fa-cb04-11e8-8f71-074b13149a61.html https://www.oaoa.com/article_256f07d9-762c-50f7-93c2-c0cd11f43768.html

The last day that Alissa Marie Turney was seen by anyone was on the last day of school on May 17, 2001. There were several things about Michael’s actions this day that stood out to both Scott Fuller and myself when we originally took on Alissa’s case for Status Pending. Since covering her case on Status Pending, Scott and I have had the chance to really get to know Sarah and we’ve become very close friends with her. Additionally, along the way, we’ve come to know and learn so much more about Alissa’s case than I ever imagined. Not only from talking to Sarah on a regular basis, but from Sarah creating her own podcast and sharing the story with hundreds of thousands more people! Sarah is doing some pretty amazing things for Alissa’s case and I feel like a proud momma watching her dedication, determination, persistence, love, and hard work pay off! In this listener request episode, Heather sits down with Sarah Turney to talk about her sister's case.Find Sarah and see all the things she is doing:Voices For Justice Facebook PageVoices For Justice - on Apple PodcastsVoices For Justice - Merch StoreVoices For Justice on TwitterVoices For Justice Billboard - GoFundMeVoices For Justice on InstagramVoices For Justice Website

December 22 - December 28, 1987Dover and Russellville, ArkansasOver the course of a one week period, Ronald Gene Simmons Sr. murdered a total of 16 people. Most of whom (14 to be exact) were his own family members...but police didn't know that he had killed his own family until they attempted to contact them on December 28, 1987 AFTER he had killed 2 and wounded 4 others in a 45 minute rampage around town...When it was his time, he welcomed death with open arms...This killing spree has been described as the worst mass murder in Arkansas history and the worst crime involving one family in the history of the country. What do you think about this case? Pretty messed up, right? Do you think he killed his entire family because he couldn't take the pressure or the guilty conscience of what he did to his daughter?Sourceshttps://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1987-12-30-mn-21766-story.html https://murderpedia.org/male.S/s1/simmons-ronald-gene.htm https://encyclopediaofarkansas.net/entries/ronald-gene-simmons-3731/ http://www.clarkprosecutor.org/html/death/US/simmons131.htm

FIRST OFF; HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY TO BRITTANY!!! I love you so much, lady! I am so happy to have you in my life and so lucky to have met you when I did! Thank you so much for all of your research and help on this episode!-----In this episode, Heather is joined by the awesome Brittany to discuss two brothers who ended up becoming serial killers...BUT at different times in their lives.During their childhood years, the brothers were pretty close to one another. Later in life (I believe while in jail) Danny was quoted saying that Larry was quote "the only companion I had most of my life."The events began in 1964 when 19-year-old Larry killed his first victim. He ended up confessing to five murders in total...but tried for just one. He then received a second trial but turned it down and decided to go with his original sentence of life in prison.Danny, on the other hand, made headlines during Larry's retrial when he was charged with a string of murders in 1973.There were many differences between their victims, their MOs, and potentially their reasons for killing. The Ranes brothers are not discussed nearly enough in the true crime world. In this episode, Courtney is back with another history-filled case involving a midwife who committed a TON of infanticide. Miyuki Ishikawa was born in 1897 and is believed to have murdered somewhere between 85 and 169 infants with the help of accomplices throughout the 1940s in Tokyo, Japan. Her sentence behind bars was a mere 4 years, which is quite light considering that her death toll is higher than any other serial killer in Japan.*This episode has some Patreon announcements*Subscribe to: The Cult of Domesticity PodcastOur theme music was created and customized by Nico Vettese of We Talk of Dreams.  You can follow him on IG (@wetalkofdreams)  and Twitter (@WeTalkofDreams).

In this episode, Part 2 of the Indianapolis, Indiana episodes, Heather is joined by Justin from Mysterious Circumstances to discuss Howard Arthur Allen. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1949 and is currently sitting in prison, serving his sentence. He was originally sentenced to death on June 11, 1988 but that sentence was later commuted to life in prison. He murdered at least three elderly women (Opal Cooper, 85 / Laverne Hale, 87 / Ernestine Griffin, 73), severely beat another woman, and committed arson on an elderly man’s home. All of his crimes had an underlying factor of burglary. Police suspect that there may be as many as 11 more victims…but have been unable to prove that. This episode is filled with speculation as there isn’t a lot known about his childhood. Additionally, this episode contains touchy subject matter (the death penalty debate) and a glimpse into several other Indiana crimes as well as issues within the justice system in Indiana. You’ve been warned.Subscribe to: Mysterious Circumstances Podcast Our theme music was created and customized by Nico Vettese of We Talk of Dreams.  You can follow him on IG (@wetalkofdreams)  and Twitter (@WeTalkofDreams).

In this episode, Heather is joined by Danielle from Hoosier Homicide to discuss Herbert Baumeister. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1947 and died after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in 1996. He was on the run from police who were searching his 18-acre farm for bodies of his victims – of which they found at least 11. Now, it is debated as to whether or not he killed more than 11 and to this day, he is not technically considered a confirmed serial killer as police were never able to prove it AND he killed himself before being apprehended. His victim type was young homosexual men whom he would pick up from gay bars and take to his mansion where he would have sex with them (often using auto erotic asphyxiation to pleasure himself) and then (presumably) kill and dispose of their bodies. In this episode, Heather is joined by the one and only Nicki Tee of the Strictly Homicide Podcast! In this episode, we discuss a serial killer with the same last name as Heather BUT we swear that there is absolutely NO relation! Heather and Nicki discuss the Suffolk Strangler also known as the Ipswich Strangler, Steven Gerald James Wright.  His crimes (that he was convicted of) occurred between October 30 and December 9, 2006.. Steven was convicted of murdering 5 women in the Ipswich District of Sullfolk, England in February of 2009. It was announced on 19 March 2008, that Wright was to appeal his convictions, but on 2 February 2009, it was announced that Wright had decided to drop this appeal case. Steven targeted women sex workers, and although he admitted to having sexual intercourse with all five of them at some point prior to the murders, the victims did not appear to be sexually assaulted during the time of the murder. Stevens motive is still unknown, when questioned about this he seems to answer with “no Comment”. While its never been confirmed, some say that the return of his mother who abandoned her family for her lover 40 years prior, sparked his rage.  We are definitely interested in hearing your thoughts on this case, so please reach out via social media or email!Subscribe to: Strictly Homicide Podcast

Hallow-Series Week 3 Theme - A Family Affair Day 22 - Done With This FamilyIt seems like this man had a troubled past. Hallow-Series Week 3 Theme - A Family Affair Day 19 - Making a Murderer(s)?Many of you know about the Teresa Halbach disappearance and murder. If that name doesn't quite ring a bell; perhaps the Netflix series "Making a Murderer" will. This family affair was a bit different than what you've heard thus far in this week's series as Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey were convicted of murdering, dismembering, and sexually assaulting Teresa in 2005.But what if that's not what happened? What if Steven and Brendan are innocent? What if they were framed? We will be covering this case in depth in the future (as soon as Heather finishes the book) - especially since a lot has come out recently about this case. What are your thoughts? Head on over to our Facebook Discussion page or our Patreon to discuss! Special thanks to Courtney from The Cult of Domesticity Podcast for her assistance with this episode!
