LaShonda’s style and the iconic Pop artists of the 90’s such as Destiny’s Child and TLC. No one seems to make music like that anymore. Apart from LaShonda Schofield. It has to be said, the track gets off to a fairly weak start with a rather drawn out use of non-lexical vocals before she kicks into the first verse of her new track Wash That Man. Yet once the high-vibe beat kicks in there’s no looking back, only forward through the swirls and drops of the Jazz inspired Urban Pop beat. To create a visceral contrast between instrumentals and vocals the beat sits neatly behind the vocal-led track. I’m pretty sure there has never been a more ingenious track written about washing your hair.

Firstly, he worked three jobs in a small town where he resided. At the time, he was faced with devastating relationship issues from his home, had to deal with a sick dad, and sadly, the pain from watching his mom foot all the bills.   Endowed with a self-motivating personality, Jay leaned on to his musical dream for a breakthrough. Subsequently, he was presented with several employment opportunities but continually turned them down.   He was indecisive of a career choice, and so, he decided to move to a nearby town to have a fresh start. This decision wasn’t in his favor as he had to steal food to survive. Jay had to go back home and move on with a career in truck driving.     A year later, his mom came down with breast cancer but got better with time. With his mom’s improved health, he moved to a bigger city in South Carolina called Charleston. He got a job with a truck company, and within a year, he emerged successfully as an independent contractor and owner. With his newly found means of survival, Jay takes care of himself alongside his parents. Most importantly, he reinvests his earnings to start up his musical career.   From a dying dad to making an honest living for himself, Jay leveraged these experiences as a stepping stone to reach his dreams.Jay is currently working with several top tier producers from Atlanta GA who have worked with artist such (Future, Gucci Mane, Trey Songz and others) Jay looks forward to bracing the entertainment industry with his honed musicality and hopes that he could also inspire them with his story.

Born in Valdosta, Georgia, a child of threedaughters, LaShonda began singing at the tenderage of three. When her mother noticed hersinging ability, at the age of 3, she encouragedher to perform George Benson’s classic, “TheGreatest Love Of All” before a private audience.Over the years, LaShonda would becomemesmerized by the musical and melodic elementsof Pop, Rock, Country, and R&B of the 80’s and90’s, which greatly influenced her musical tastes. Her artist influences include Teena Marie, AngelaWinbush, Anita Baker, Barbara Weathers and Sharon Bryant of Atlantic Starr, Sade, George Michael, Stevie Wonder, and many others. As a young child, LaShonda’s family moved to Petersburg/Richmond, Virginia and ultimately, Prince Georges County, Maryland, where she sang in ensembles and competed in a number of talent shows. She began writing songs at age 1; her first song was affectionately penned “Candy Treat”. By the age of 17 she began writing songs and recording vocals at some of Maryland’s top recording studios. At the age of 19, she became a recording artist and was managed by the legendary flautist, Bobbi Humphrey. With aspirations of becoming an artist, as well as a songwriter, LaShonda surrounded herself by the best songwriters, having wrote lyrics for Ryan Toby of the R&B group “City High”. Through Richmond, Virginia’s Quiet Storm DJ, Mitch Malone, LaShonda was introduced to the legendary songwriter, Joseph Jefferson. Jefferson wrote timeless hits like, “Sadie”, “One of A Kind Love Affair”, and “Brandy”. Under his tutelage, she learned the true art of songwriting, as well as, the music business. Nicknamed “DatGurl”, LaShonda’s skills have led her to having her music aired on Live! With Regis and Kelly (201). She has teamed with Arrested Development’s Tasha LaRae to create music for Tasha’s upcoming solo EP project slated to be released in 2019. LaShonda works directly with playwrights to license her original music for stage productions. Her first single from her upcoming EP release, “Wash That Man” is featured in the new film titled, “Shattered Love”. LaShonda’s second single, slated for her EP is titled, “My Rhythm, My Blues”. The songs melodic and catchy intergalactic groove is an ode to the R&B genre, while also serving as a lovers anthem.   Simply, LaShonda’s supple voice and honest lyrics will prove why she’s a singer worth your time.

Music has the ability to supernaturally transcend emotions.  And James "J.Pow!" Powell, also known as Mr. FUNkateer, provides the feel-good bass lines that spans genres of music from gospel to rock and everything in between. Welcome to world of Mr. FUNkateer!  Born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, J.Pow! started playing drums at the age of 3 at his father's church. A country rapper who chronicles small-town life with a big-city swagger and a musical attack that mixes hip-hop and rock & roll, Hosier (not to be confused with the similarly named singer and songwriter Hozier) was born Chris Hosier in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 1, 1988. By his own admission, Hosier had a difficult childhood, and he learned to rely on himself from a young age. Chris grew up in Anderson, Indiana, 80 miles from Fort Wayne, and he was influenced by his cousin and best friend, both of whom were hip-hop fans and performers on the city's underground rap scene. When he was 18, Chris began writing raps and producing tracks, eager to make a name for himself. In 2011 he released his first singles, "Crooked City Champion" and "Make the Hood Jump," using the name Young Chris, and he began earning a reputation as one of the Midwest's leading "hick hop" artists. By 2012, Young Chris changed his stage name to Hosier, and over the next several years he expanded his following with frequent live work. Hosier's hard work was beginning to pay off by 2016, as singles such as "Long Bumpy Road," "Redneck Rave Anthem," "Country Side Living," and "Jamming Sweet Home Alabama" began attracting attention through online play. Hosier's first full-length album, Paving My Way, was released by Hosier's own Redneckin label in April 2017.

Daneen Wilburn has been taking fans on a musical journey of emotion and passion since she was a child. Her style transitions from soul to gospel, jazz and ballads effortlessly. "She is an engaging performer and a true talent. If you ever have a chance to see her perform, do it." These are the words of Grammy Winner Clarence McDonald, producer of Nancy Wilson’s Music on My Mind album, and Bill Withers’ "Lovely Day."   This is why her fans have been eagerly awaiting her debut album, produced by two-time Grammy Winner, Kamau Kenyatta. Kamau is best known for his discovery of singer Gregory Porter. His production of Gregory's four albums yielded four Grammy nominations and two wins.  Kamau has also worked with Patti Austin, Earl Klugh, Ed Motta and Carl Anderson (Jesus Christ Superstar). Daneen's self titled album was released in June to rave reviews. "This album is an arousing debut by one soulful singer" says Patrick Van De Weile, of Key and Chord Magazine in Belgium. Together with Kamau, Daneen carefully crafted a blend of soul, jazz and gospel. But, before any of this, she was just a San Diego girl with a dream.     Daneen’s parents were both gospel singers and made music an important part of her life. By age seven, she was the lead singer of the family band and by age nineteen, she found herself singing at the legendary Hollywood Bowl, with some of gospel music’s top names, including, Edwin Hawkins, Darryl Coley, and Ricky Grundy. After a few years, she married and started a family, deciding to leave the music industry to be a full-time mother. Her dream would be put on hold, but not forgotten. Throughout the years, she loved her role as a mother and looked forward to the day when her voice would be heard again.   Daneen returned to music twenty years later, quickly becoming one of San Diego’s most sought after vocalists. She had the honor of performing for former First Lady Laura Bush, and when US Women’s soccer star, Alex Morgan wed Servando Carrasco, Daneen sang as she made her way down the aisle.   In 2013, MLB’s San Diego Padres asked Daneen to sing for the memorial service of baseball legend Tony Gwynn. Before 25,000 fans at Petco Park and a national television audience, she performed a version of "Amazing Grace" that silenced the spellbound crowd. Daneen's new album is a reflection of her life surrounded by singers and musicians.  It includes a remake of a gospel quartet song recorded by her uncles in the early nineteen seventies, entitled, "I'll Be Free."  Radio personality, Fred Carter of KPVU Radio in Washington DC, describes her performance as "bold, honest, and inspirational." Daneen's personal motto is "a song should be both heard and felt."

Wes Kardigan, born Tommie Smith, Jr., was raised on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. While being highly influenced by the likes of Common, Jay-Z, Ludacris, T.I., OutKast, Eminem and Lupe Fiasco to name a few, Wes spent most of his time concentrating on his craft as a Hip-Hop Songwriter/Artist.   By age 17, he became a member of a local hip-hop crew, F.L.O.C. During this time period, Wes signed with Radix Records, a Chicago-based independent record company whose roster included former Jive Records recording artist, "Syleena Johnson". As the first hip-hop solo act on the label, he performed alongside Hip-Hop Icon "KRS-One" and also collaborated with a then up-and-coming producer name "Kanye West", whom he met through his friend/schoolmate, "GLC".   After graduation, Wes enrolled at Columbia College Chicago, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Business Management/Marketing. Upon graduation from college, Wes Kardigan expanded his talents by venturing off into music production. Although he admires many producers, he is inspired by a select few: J-Dilla, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Just Blaze, Kanye, Swizz Beatz and Hi-Tek. Under the tutelage of his god-brother, Wes began making beats on industry-standard equipment such as the Ensoniq ASR-10 and the Akai MPC 2000.   From there, in 2000, Wes assisted in street promoting "DIRTY HARRIET", the debut album from Flipmode/Elektra recording artist, "Rah Digga", the multi-platinum selling soundtrack, "ROMEO MUST DIE" and the gold-selling grammy nominated album, "LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE" by fellow Chicagoan, "Common".   In 2002, Wes would co-executive produce contribute five tracks and co-write four songs on "GOOD STATUS", an independently-released album by Chicago-based rapper, "CHINA BLACK". On into 2003, Wes would help to promote the album by performing at various venues in Chicago with China Black such as the Isaac Hayes Restaurant.   In 2005, he bacame a member of "ASCAP" as both a writer and publisher as well as produced the track for the opening credits to "URBAN SCENZE", a full-length sketch comedy written and directed by Lawrence Lee Wallace. The track would reappear in the comedy sequel a year later.   In 2007, Wes co-wrote and guest appeared on "LIVE", a braggadocio-type song by Chicago-based hip-hop trio, "BRAN-X". The song garnered airplay on radio station WGCI while becoming one of the most downloaded songs off their album, "DAYJOBNIGHTJOB", on ITunes. In 2008, Wes continued performing at spots throughout the Midwest Region including Gary, Indiana, Cleveland, Ohio and Kalamazoo, Michigan.   In 2009, Wes Kardigan was an opening act at The Ribs N Soul Festival held in Detroit, Michigan and The Global Mixxx DJ Retreat which featured such acts as Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Bilal and Little Brother.   In March 2011, he participated in the 360 Hip-Hop Beat Battle, which was a part of a music industry workshop hosted by hip-hop pioneer, "Erick Sermon" and would be later interviewed by "Urban Grind TV", a Chicago TV outlet station. In August of that same year, Wes Kardigan released his first music video entitled, "SOMEDAY".   In 2012, Wes continued to perform throughout the Chicagoland area which included him participating in the July edition of "CHICAGO MEETS NYC TALENT SHOWCASE" where the winner would travel to New York to perform in front of label executives from Epic Records. Also Wes would make it to the finals of the "SEPTEMBER COUP D' EXPOSURE SONG COMPETITION" where the winner opened up for Grammy-Nominated Hip-Hop Artist/Actor, "MOS DEF". As a producer, in November, Wes partook in the "iSTANDARD PRODUCER SHOWCASE: MIDWEST EDITION". During this event he was judged and critiqued on his production skills by Multi-Platinum/Grammy-Award Winning Producers Jimi Hendrix (Jay-Z, G-Unit, Ashanti, Ja Rule & 2Pac) & S1 (Jay-Z, Beyonce & Kanye West).   Although, muscially, being an artist is his #1 passion, some of his other goals include being able to develop artists, acting in major motion films, invest in property to be used to shelter the homeless, aid them in finding employment & have after-school programs for the youth.   Currently, Wes Kardigan stays busy writing and producing for upcoming projects. Whether it is on the mic or behind the boards, with the ability to connect with different walks of life, Wes Kardigan is destined to capture the attention of all, from "record executives" to "record consumers".

Since a young age, I've been in love with performing. I would often present long, in-depth shows to my family and their friends at dinner parties. Their encouragement led me to study the performing arts at an incredible college.       Some say I am a naturally talented person. They also say I was born to be in the spotlight. Everything I do is big and bold as evident by my company slogan "we do it bigger". One of my favorite saying is " I'm a jack of all trades and I have mastered nothing because I can always get or do be better". I has toured and shared the stage with true industry notables like Yung Joc, Toni Tony Tone, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Glen Jones, Howard Hewett, just to name a few. My song "There's No Me" charted on Billboard 23 with a bullet.  In 2012 I was featured in a reality television show called “Party Mamas” by Entertainment One TV. I have successfully developed and is currently managing the hit teen female group KARMA “America’s Newest Sweethearts”. My experience as their manager and driving force has put me in a unique position to learn and grow as an entertainment Executive. My determination and creative vision has positioned the group to reach the top.

This is Co City from The North City Music Group. My younger brother PA flex is releasing his 1st single for the music inspired by 50 jumpers today. When I asked him what he wanted people to know about the song this is what he said." I always wanted to pay homage to the M c's that helped raise me. These guys really help make me a man. I grew up in a single parent household and there were certain things that my mother couldn't teach me. How to operate as an intelligent black man in the United States of America? I learned that from Chuck D, Ice Cube, KRS-ONE, Co City, Nas, Black Thought & Tupac Shakur.  Without them I wouldn't have made it this far. I named the song 'Ice Cube'."And there you have it.....

Omoghéné is a singer, songwriter, and poet who is pressed on challenging conventional thinking. Her debut single “Every Day is My Birthday” is a great introduction to her unique sound, bubbly personality, and is a sneak peak at what is to come from her upcoming music. “I may not be what you think when you see me” she sings, expressing her constant battle with being herself despite society’s standards of image, size, race, and art. Her sound is in a category of its own with a mix of acoustic neo soul, R&B, and a pop twist that showcases her church upbringing and Nigerian-American roots. The Urhobo name “Omoghéné” is translated in English as “God’s Child.” It is a constant reverence to God and honors the Nigerian background of her parents. Alexis Omoghene Akpodiete or simply known as Omoghéné grew up as a shy girl singing in her room at age 7 to the albums of Ms. Lauryn Hill, India Arie, and Gospel artists of the likes of Kirk Franklin. It was music that gave her the confidence she has today to step out and start performing in public at age 12. From then on, she started singing in the church choir, at school rallies, talent shows, and local open mics in her area. While pursuing her B.A. in Business Administration with a focus in Entrepreneurship, she began taking poetry seriously as a freshman in college that later turned into her love for songwriting. Omoghéné now turns her life experiences and simple interactions, good or bad, into catchy melodies and relatable lyrics that captures the heart of her audience. Her soft tone is a great compliment to her soulful lyrics that express the consciousness needed to find one’s happiness, independence, and self-confidence.

Wordsworth and Pearl Gates navigate through tragedy and triumph with musical moxie on Champion Sound. Having previously collaborated on various projects (Wordsworth solo albums, eMC), this effort allows their familiarity to sonically take shape in ways, both complimentary and dynamic. This thirteen song, Quincy Tones-produced ensemble evokes the spirit of quintessential east coast hip-hop while elaborating stylistically beyond its boundaries. Quincy Tones, born and raised in West London, has produced for Royce Da 5’9 (Dinner Time), Jay Electronica and Diddy (Ghost of Christopher Wallace), Fashawn (Man of the House), and eMC (Winds of Change).  Quincy Tones describes his sound as melodic, soulful, and emotional. General Vega: Leader of the Geek      A Weird, Mysterious, Exciting,  Innovative character that brings a fresh new sound to a world filled with monotony. There were so many artists coming out but they seemed to have a similar sound as well as subject matter and look.  Says Vega, I found myself wanting to have the same feeling I had when I first  heard music from Nas or Outcast,  I wanted to have the feeling of hanging onto every word or  waiting for the next release date or concert.  The artist I was waiting for never came along.  So I decided to become that artist.  Within the first year of starting his movement General Vega  has accomplished many things as a new artist  He Released his Debut offering titled, "General Vega Presents: Geek Mobb The Album. He's been interviewed  by numerous radio stations like  Fly 93.5 Big Ray in The Basement and notably HBR 97.5 Nairobi Kenya  by Dj. Zaq and his co host Corrine.    I couldn't believe I was being interviewed by someone in Africa.  I was completely floored Says Vega. It was a pleasure and a major sence of accomplishment  for me and my demographic. I started getting fans from all over the place !  Since that interview Vega says he's been sending T shirts all over the world as well as had songs played internationally which is  humbling and surreal. He credits his sound coming from many  influences such as 80's Rock  Wrestling, And all things Pop Culture .General Vega Is currently working on his second album as well as  preparing for a busy Summer performing. Concert dates will be  available on his site

It has been said in the music industry that “it’s not what you know, but who you know, that makes one successful.” Taylor “Cas Metah” Hogle may argue that who you know, has a great impact on what you know. A quick listen to the Ohio native’s music reveals his understanding that life is about relationships. A glance at his discography reveals just how well he understands it, and how well he puts it into practice. Cas Metah is a friend to all true hip-hop heads, and he thinks it’s about time you get acquainted. Taylor Hogle fell in love with hip-hop as a teenager. Never one to shy away from commitment, Cas wrote raps for two years before ever touching a microphone! In 1997 he began recording homemade mixtapes and gaining a rep locally. Alongside 2-Tone, Ruffian, Shaw Bihland several other hungry talents, Cas formed Field Specialists. Metah quickly became the crews leader/in- house engineer, nicknaming his home studio the “Guest Room” due to the frequency of company and all night sessions. In 2002 Cas pressed up Key Tah Life, his first album of all original material. A chance meeting with JustMe in ‘03, led to a great friendship and the formation of Scribbling Idiots. Over the years the collective has discovered amazing talent worldwide and currently boasts the following “family” members: JustMe, Cas Metah, Theory Hazit, Elias, ReFlex the Architect, MP Ancient, Wonder Brown, Mouf Warren, MattmaN and Jaq.  From landing opening gigs with Joell Ortiz, Twista, The Pharcydeand Bizzy Bone just to name a few, to hitting up tour dates with vets like CunninLynguists, J-Live and Aceyalone, the list goes on and on as Cas continues to create a large buzz in hip-hop circles on and off stage. Due in large part to Cas’ tireless work in the studio, he has released numerous albums, EP’s and/or single songs on his own, as well as with several established record labels, including: Plattertude Recordings (U.K.), Illect Recordings, End Of Earth Records, Dunsin’ Donuts (Japan), Soulspazm, and BBM (Baka Boyz Media)/Empire Distribution. When it comes to collaborating with some of the best known (and unknown) artists in the game, Cas has worked with nearly everybody! Here’s just a highlight reel: Masta Ace, Kno, Witchdoctor, T-mo Goodie, 4th Disciple, LMNO, Deacon The Villain, Mars ILL, Copywrite, J. Rawls, Hell Razah, Shabazz The Disciple, Mista Sinista, Audible Doctor, Blueprint, J57, Craig G, D.V. Alias Khryst, Casual, Wordsworth, Yukmouth, Ras Kass, Ahmad & Ski Beatz! Wow! Perhaps more impressive than any of the credits listed above, is the countless guest appearances, cameos, and side-projects Cas has piled up throughout the past two decades. Prolific doesn’t begin to explain this young man’s writing ability. Nor does it explain his magnetic personality and networking skills. Just Google the name “Cas Metah” and it will take you down a plethora of rabbit holes! And if you don’t know, now you know!

Growing up in Syracuse, New York and Atlanta, Georgia taught me three identity shaping values, that in turn have become the main pillars of my character. Number one, the positivity offset. Making light out of a situations where others see the glass half empty, shaped me as a young man. While everyone around me seemed to subject themselves to the darkness of life, I knew that positivity and optimism would get me in the mindset to not only escape the cyclical nature of settling with a life of mediocracy and normality at best, but it would be the catalyst that would enable me me soar beyond any expectations that people had set for me. Once you realize that you are the creator of your own reality and shut out everyone else’s opinion or judgment, your life will change. Thinking “too big” simply does not exist.  Number two, understanding that you simply cannot loose if you bet on yourself. Between all of the discrimination and even violence that I've had to face and swallow, the 5 mile daily walk to the bus stop in the cold streets, being homeless in Atlanta and so much more, I began to loose my connection with the men and women around me. Compassion and empathy was looked down on and being “cut throat” was admired in my culture. This is why I spent 7 years of my life putting a smile on kid’s faces while working at the YMCA as a young man. I admired the children’s innocence, their ability to never judge someone and their honesty. Three traits that most adults around me lacked. Lastly, being able to internalize the concept of time. Time is all we have, but time is created by man and therefore does not even exist. This is something that I will often speak about in my lyrics and is tied into my way of life. Tomorrow is never promised, and I'm overly thankful for each and every day. I praise God when I wake up in the morning, that my eyes allow to see and I am able to take in another breath of that fresh San Diego air. With this mindset, I've understood that you cannot loose in life. In the rap industry, so many new artists are fixated on the number of diamonds in their chain, the number of women they have slept with. All I care about is being able to see another day. So there; the positivity offset, betting on yourself, and being a conscious individual who is not asleep to just how precious life really is.      So where does hip hop play into this? I’ve been rapping for 18 years. When I was  years old, my dad put me on a stage at the neighborhood block party and told me “entertain them” At 7, I barely even knew what the word “entertain” meant. But I fearlessly took the stage and started beatboxing and dancing. At 7 years old I was able to feed off of other peoples energy. Seeing a few smiles in the audience was one of the best feelings I had ever felt, and it is no different to this day. I live to make people laugh and be themselves. At a very young age, I knew I wanted to be an artist. Even though I knew how to rhyme well by age 10, that simply was wasn’t enough. I adopted skills that would push me to the next level by listening to what people were saying. The critics, the fans and everyone in-between.    As I got older the road got only got tougher. I found myself at college in my third year with no more money to continue the path of higher education. However it wasn’t a total disappointment because durning the journey I met a beautiful girl named Nailah. I was home with no degree bouncing from job to job, but never did I let go of the magic of music. It never was enough no matter how hard I worked. No one believed in my music as much as I did. With no monetary I was homeless. I knew manifesting a dream of such magnitude would take some sacrifice, but not everything. I lost friends family and my home to find that bright light stage.   So Nai and I packed up what we had left and moved to San Diego California. Living off of food stamps I searched for a job so that I could get a car to continue my Uber career. It took three years of struggle and pain to get one, but once I did I freestyled my way to a 4.9 Uber rating.

Bria Danielle is an R&B artist born and raised in South Florida. She has always been passionate about music and is finally breaking out into the music scene with a sound of her own. At a young age, Bria Danielle was inspired by artists like Beyoncé,  Chris Brown and Michael Jackson. Their creative genius really cultivated something within her when she saw how much joy their music brought to others and she wanted to do the same. She started off recording covers and posting them to several different social media platforms and then began writing music of her own which she hopes to share with the world. Her goal in music is to bring back substance and make music that actually means something. She’s done this already by releasing her first single, Glow Up, which is an anthem for black girls and women all over teaching them to embrace the beauty that exists in their skin tone and natural hair. This is just the beginning for Bria Danielle and you can expect much more from her in the near future!
