This week, in Eddyville, Oregon, what seems like a simple accident, on first sight, turns out to be anything but that, as investigators try to figure out if they're dealing with a serial killer, or an unsophisticated teenager. The story that emerges is horrifying, and is one of the strangest things we've heard.  A portrait of an odd family dynamic, and circumstances left us in disbelief. You definitely want to hear this one all the way to the end!!   Along the way, we find out that every town has a Cousin Eddy, that you can't always judge an accident by its cover, and that some people are great at leading double lives!!   Hosted by James Pietragallo & Jimmie Whisman    New episodes every Thursday!    Donate at: patreon.com/crimeinsports or go to paypal.com & use our email: crimeinsports@gmail.com    Go to shutupandgivememurder.com for all things Small Town Murder & Crime In Sports!    Follow us on...    twitter.com/@murdersmall    facebook.com/smalltownpod    instagram.com/smalltownmurder    Also, check out James & Jimmie's other show, Crime In Sports! This week, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, a mystery grows around a local woman, found brutally murdered in her own bed.  The case goes cold for over a year, until a very interesting story emerges, telling a tale that is both fascinating, and horrifying.  A tale of petty revenge, and a blood ritual of sorts, from an unlikely person, a 14 year old girl. The full story leaves mouths open is shock, but will that be enough for a conviction?? Wall to wall crazy!!   Along the way, we find out that Dollywood is a good post-murder meet up, that there is no such thing as a "relationship" with a 14 year old, and that if you're going to make a toast, use booze! This week, in Enosburgh, Vermont, a young woman disappears, with zero clues to go on.  Police classify her as a missing person, but family members fear the worst.  When she is eventually found, brutally murdered, the investigation quickly goes cold, and stays cold for 14 years, until new information comes from a very unexpected sources, and puts all the pieces in place.  The result is a the outing of a monster, and a tough legal battle.  More layers than a gigantic onion in this one!!   Along the way, we find out that no one should ever try to milk a child, that you never know what goes on behind closed doors, and that where there are brutal attacks, there is often murder!! This week, in Mustang, Oklahoma, the area is rocked by the murder of a prominent citizen, in their own living room. As the town mourns, they also fear this could be a maniac on the loose.  Luckily for everyone, it turns out to be not so much of an aimless maniac, but a person, very close to the deceased, who seems to have just snapped, lately, but not in the way you might imagine. This thing is a twisted, dark mess!   Along the way, we find out that tornadoes often come to the same area more than once, that sending unsolicited naked images of yourself to people is never a good idea, and that murder is not always the answer! This week, in Gunnison, Colorado, a happy go lucky young man disappears into thin air, and his friend wonder if he left to build a better life, or if someone in his family might be hiding the truth from them.  Over the 2 years that he's missing, many rumors about his life, and possible destination are spread around town.  Was he a violent, drug addicted, and lazy person, who abused his sick, elderly mother, or was he a nice person, with a penchant for a clean good time? Either way, where did he go?  The truth is disturbing, and wild!!   Along the way, we find out people keep weird things in buckets, that no inheritance is guaranteed, and that sometimes it is literally the last person you'd suspect!! This week, in Middle River, Maryland, a troubled man, who is rightfully called "pure evil" at many points in his life, gives up on trying to make a go of a normal existence, and decides to go on a killing spree. He is cruel, angry, and completely out of his mind.  When he is caught, he not only confesses, but is proud of what he did.  His final statement at his trial may be the craziest thing ever said in a court of law. Will he gets executed, like he wants to be?? Absolute insanity!   Along the way, we find out faeries may not need a whole festival, that when someone says that they're Satan, maybe you should listen to them, and if you want to kill yourself, there are easier ways than having the state do it!! This week, in Verdigre, Nebraska, a rural farm is the setting for a tale that seems simple enough, until you begin to unravel the layers. This story has it all, sex, lies, murder... and a pig, named Arthur.  In the end, one person is dead, and one person has quite the story to tell. Will her own written words be her downfall? As this case unfolds, we're left with more questions, than answers, but the most pressing question is, why??   Along the way, we find out what a kolach is & why it sounds delicious, that farms are their own sovereign nation, and that when you're constructing a murder plot, you shouldn't write notes to everyone, contradicting your story!! This week, in Gaffney, South Carolina, it looks like a typical domestic dispute, ended in an unusual way, when a woman is found, naked, and strangled, in the middle of the street.  Her husband seems to be the culprit, and is convicted, but everything becomes unclear when a local newspaper editor receives some strange phone calls, and more women start to disappear.  There's a shocker around every corner!   Along the way, we find out that a whole town can be obsessed with peaches, that confessions should at least be written down, and that no one is ever safe. This week, in Newville, Pennsylvania, local Wal-Mart employees find love, but things don't go as planned, when a new woman starts work in the photo department. What ends up happening couldn't have been predicted by anyone as it turns into a heinous murder, and completely inept cover up. Things don't get any less messy in court, as decisions get upheld, and thrown out, seemingly on a yearly basis.  What a ride!   Along the way, we find out Pennsylvania is half Arkansas, that building bicycles at Wal-Mart might not be your best career path, and that fingerprints plus confession, plus DNA seems pretty open & shut!! This week, in Belle Terre, New York, a wealthy couple is found dead, in their own home. The only other person in the house is their adopted teenage son, who makes a full confession, including the motive of being angry about not getting a new sports car. Case closed. Right? Not even close. What follows is a tale of lies, corruption, and outright insanity. One of our craziest yet!!   Along the way, we find out rich people don't need fire insurance, that you don't need evidence if you have a confession, and that sometimes you need to investigate that confession!! This week, in Marmaduke, Arkansas, two couples become close friends, and even more, until a proposition for an unconventional "business proposition" turns certain people against certain others.  In the end, the only solution is... someone has to die.  The question is, will the right person suffer the consequences for their actions? What a wild one!   Along the way, we find out Marmaduke is named after an actual man, that you shouldn't be surprised when your friend doesn't want his wife to be a prostitute, and that the person pulling the trigger doesn't always get the worst punishment!! This week, in Chubbuck, Idaho, two young men, seeking the infamy of their serial killer heroes for themselves, they set out to make a mark on the world, with murder.  Luckily for police, they brazenly document most of their own thoughts, actions, and confessions on video, that is found after the boys finally go too far, and commit a senseless, and brutal killing. This one is extra crazy!   Along the way, we find out that people in Idaho don't seem to like Idaho, that you probably shouldn't video incriminating things, and that Ed Gein might not be the best role model for the youth!! This week, in Salem, Massachusetts, a local woman goes missing, and the local police do everything they can to find her. Including consulting friends, neighbors, witnesses, the town witch, and the community pervert.  What follows is a twisted road of fabrications, half truths, and complete lies. Will justice be found, or will it slip away? Plus, you'll never look at George Washington the same again!!    Along the way, we find out that witches are psychic, that just having a boat won't necessarily get women to like you, and that sometimes you actually get what you want!! This week, in Raeford, North Carolina, a family in crisis is the perfect prey for a predator, who moves in, and disrupts any potential harmony. When a 15 year old girl goes missing, she's is considered a runaway, but when a close family member also disappears, it seems like a bigger picture is forming.  It all ends in a courtroom showdown with the death penalty in the balance.  There's a lot of crazy in this one!!   Along the way, we find out that turkey cooking is very competitive, that anyone who owns a nightclub is probably a dirtbag, and that when two bodies are buried in your yard... you are more than likely a murderer!! This week, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, high school sweethearts get married, and raise a nice family, until some "sexual problems" cause a few waves in the marriage. After trying to work it out, and being on the road to marital bliss, one of them ends up dead.  But was it an intruder, caught in an attempted burglary, or something far more sinister?    Along the way, we find out The Pioneer Woman owns a good chunk of Oklahoma, that you should find out what you're into before you ask others to turn you on, and that any amount of time is too long to wait to cal 911!! This week, in Brookfield Township, Ohio, a casual evening of drinking at a local small town bar turns into a search for a missing person. Family, friends, police... and even the murderer all hunt for a trace of the person, in hopes of finding them alive. Unfortunately, this search turns into the search for a body, then after some new information, turns into a hunt for body parts.  Will the monster who was responsible be brought to justice? This one is wild!   Along the way, we find out Vikings aren't just in Minnesota, that you should try to take other people's point of view into account, and that you can't dismember someone by accident!! This week, in Shelton, Washington, when a brutal murder is discovered in a woman's home, the police have very little to go on, except a mysterious, one-shoed man, found wandering the highway, in an older woman's housecoat. What unravels is one of the most insane explanations ever offered, in the history of the planet earth. In the end, the case makes history, and precedent. Pure crazy!!   Along the way, we find out that every town wants to claim Christmas as their own, that wearing one shoe is way crazier than wearing no shoes, and that saying that God told you to do what you did might not be the worst excuse!! This week, in Vincennes, Indiana, a troubled person's life seemingly spins out of control in a sea of arrests, fights, marriages, drugs, bats & swords.  This all comes to a head when a relationship ends, and rumors begin to fly about what this person's ex may be up to, and who with. In the end, will a really weak excuse & some flimsy legal wrangling be enough to get out of it?   Along the way, we find out that bathtubs aren't just for baths, that a samurai sword will definitely get someone's attention, and that it's hard to deny a murder that you committed in front of as third party!! This week, in Rome, Georgia, a picturesque, all-American couple find each other in high school, then get married, start a family, and live happily... until things aren't so happy, anymore.  Too much church, not enough romance, and a secret affair all lead to the the downfall of a marriage, and ultimately, one of the most brutal, but clumsy murders possible. From there, we learn that some people never learn!!   Along the way, we find out that every "mushroom festival" might not be what you think it is, that maybe there should be a maturity test before marriage, and that when you leave every piece of evidence possible for the cops to find, you probably have to plead guilty!! This week, in Stillwater, New York, a lone shoe, protruding from the snow is quite the tip of the iceberg, as a brutal scenario is played out. The question is, who will take the blame? Just when all seems wrapped up, the whole thing takes a massive left turn, and gives us an ending that no one saw coming, but no one is exactly upset about! One of our craziest, yet!!   Along the way, we find out that you didn't have to be tough to command a red coat army, that "very sophisticated" is a very subjective term, and that even forensics are only as good as the people performing the tests!! This week, in Alturas, Florida, a rural family deals with what appears to be an illness, running through the family, until a doctor notices a symptom that isn't exactly relevant to the flu. A panic forms in the community, only to find out that this attack is of a very personal nature, and very directed toward this particular family. This one has crazy around every corner!!   Along the way, we find out that people don't write well in Florida, that Coca Cola probably isn't the medicine, and that murderers aren't always who you think they might be!! This week, in Ocean Township, New Jersey, opposites attract, as two people seem to finally what they're looking for in a relationship. They seem to be living a little family dream until every day pressures make it difficult.  This is all fine, and normal, except someone ends up dead.  The problem is, the evidence just doesn't seem to point to any of the obvious subjects, until a video is uncovered that explains it all!   Along the way, we find out that free parking is essential, if the earth is bleeding, it might actually just be a murderer, and you never want to have a family reunion at a sentencing hearing!! This week, in Hutchinson, Kansas, a woman's mysterious drowning leads to no on being punished, but plenty of rumors swirling around her ex husband, who had his murder charge dropped. After many more years, and many more wives, this man shows behavior consistent with a murderer, including trying to murder someone... But will he get away with the death of his first wife? This one has some twists... Plus, another edition of The Prisoner Dating Game!! This week, in Fremont, New Hampshire, when a woman, who also happens to be an out of state fugitive, goes missing, police are baffled, until an expected source leads them to something small... which leads to something much bigger. As the layers of this onion are peeled away, every detail is more shocking, horrifying, and somehow hilarious than the last. When the whole story is out in the open, all you can do is shake your head in amazement!! Along the way, we find out that snowmobiles aren't just for snow anymore, just how many sex toys is too many sex toys, and that a cemetery is apparently a good place to bury a newly murdered victim!! This week, in Forest City, Iowa, a young, aspiring school teacher is brutally murdered in her own bed, in a rural farm house. Police immediately look at her husband, a cocaine dealing farmer, but they have to change course when he is also found dead. What ensues is a mess of small town "justice" mixed with some really lousy people. The problem is, did they find the right lousy person? This one is twisty!! Along the way, we find out that Puckerbrush isn't something totally gross, that farmers can party just as hard as rock stars, and that just because you might have killed one person, it doesn't automatically mean that you killed two!! This week, in Pitman, New Jersey, a quiet, idyllic street, where two beloved local residents are planning to spent the rest of their lives is shaken, when those very same beloved people are found in pools of blood, inside their own home. The particular brutality of the killings are a source of confusion for police, who wonder "who could have wanted these nice people dead so badly?", and for the rest of the town, who wonders if they're next. The legal wrangling that follows take almost a decade, and thoroughly frustrates everybody! It's a mess of horrors & stupidity!! Along the way, we find out that Warner Brothers is REALLY picky about copyright infringement, that you should always ask follow up questions, when one of your friends is covered in blood, and that just plain stupid is not considered a mitigating factor!! This week, in Dickson, Tennessee, a local woman, with some problems, from a prominent family, goes missing, at the same time as a local man, from a not so distinguished background is also reported missing. One of them is found, and police suspect that person in the other's disappearance, after some digging into their background. When the other missing person is found, it's a most brutal scene, sending investigators in every direction, looking for body parts & evidence to put away a multiple time violent felon! Along the way, we find out that women had it rough in the 1800's, that maybe it isn't a good idea to store half of everything you own in your pick up truck, and that decapitation & field dressing is rarely a suicide!! This week, in Springfield, Oregon, where we cover a town that's a little larger than normal, but still has that small town feel, and just as much of small town murder. When a teenage girl is found dead, in the woods, police think they may have another one of The Green River Killer's victims on their hands, but figure out quickly that it's something completely different. Satan, a black witch, nefarious plots, and rune stone instructions are what follows, turning this into one of the oddest, craziest cases we've covered! Along the way, we find out some people are more followers than leaders, that a murder victim's jewelery is not a great gift for your girlfriend, and you NEVER disobey the runes!! This week, in Troy, Illinois, a drifter, fresh out of prison, blows into town, and is caught with a stolen car, and quite the story of how he came to acquire it. The story gets crazier as more details come to light, and once the march to death row begins, it only gets more absurd. A brutal murder, an awful person, and a pretty amazing last meal make this a story to remember!! Along the way, we find out that past behavior often predicts future behavior, sometimes you maybe shouldn't give people another chance, and dead bodies most certainly still bleed!! This week, in Little Compton, Rhode Island, a brutal killing is discovered, and the fact that there is an open hole, in the victim's home, literally everyone is a suspect. That is, until police zero in on a man with a shady history, a shaky alibi, and one of the worst excuses for his DNA being somewhere that it shouldn't be, in the history of criminal investigation. This is a crazy story, that just keeps getting crazier!! Along the way, we find out that you can actual build a monument to spite, that sperm can't be brought back to life by bathwater, and that DNA is a real thing & much to the surprise of the suspect, is admissible in court!! This week, in Walnut, Mississippi, where the town doesn't know where to turn when a ransom note is found, after a college student goes missing. Who could have taken her? An outsider? The town maniac? Police quickly call in the FBI in a desperate attempt to find the missing young woman, hopefully alive. The whole thing ends up in a legal fight that lasts years, and causes some strong feelings! Along the way, we find out that sometimes a tow only needs one festival, that your history often tells your future, and that crazy can certainly be measured in your cookie eating to murder ratio!! This week, in St Michaels, Maryland, a couple goes on a weekend getaway to a resort, complete with a murder mystery dinner theater show, romantic cottage, and complimentary champagne. But by the end of the weekend, there is more than one murder at the resort, and the second one definitely isn't part of the show. Could it be a careless smoking accident, leading to tragic outcome, or was it one of the most heartless murder around? Along the way, we find out that Blazing Saddles tactics can work in actual war, that you shouldn't ask too many people to kill your spouse, and that sometimes less clues equal more facts!! This week, in Eunice, New Mexico, when a woman disappears, seemingly into thin air, everyone looks at her ex husband, but it's not quite so simple. Maybe she took off with a trucker, maybe she just needed a break, maybe she's dead, and was killed in a horrific way. In the end, a brutal murder only has one answer to the question of who did it. But the question that lingers is why? Along the way, we find out grown men dominating a children's event, a few more uses for ether, and if it's possible to callously murder & not even intend to!! This week, in Edinburg, Virginia, a troubled man, with a troubled family ends a family feud in a very final, and violent way. When he is finally discovered, his tale of what actually happened is one for record books. A story so fantastical that it's almost hard to believe that someone could think it would work. And it doesn't. But just when you think it's all settled, more crazy rears its head!! This one is a trip!! Along the way, we find out about what a "bed race" might be, we learn that what you've done is often an indicator of what you'll do, and that when you blame someone else for a murder, that person should actually exist!! This week, in Byers, Colorado, a upstanding, church going woman goes missing, and police aren't sure where to turn. Was it her beloved family? A random act? The married couple, who just got a job as ranch hands at the property next door? It isn't long until they decide who to go after, and that's when two very twisted lives become exposed, and their depravity, and callous disregard for human suffering comes to light! Along the way, we find out asterisks can come in handy, that sometimes people are better off alone, and that ice cream probably tastes better when it's the last thing you'll ever eat!! This week, in Mount Ida, Arkansas, a beloved citizen is found murdered at home, and everyone is left scratching their heads until a seemingly tiny clue leads to another clue, and then another... until police focus on one suspect who has vanished into thin air. It takes the stupidest of stupid moves by the killer for police to find, and capture him. And that's where the fun starts! This is a crazy ride, from start to finish!! Along the way, we find out that sorghum needs its own festival, that just because someone is wearing a suit, doesn't mean that you should let them into your house, and that $336 is more important than freedom to some people!! This week, in Weisenberg, Pennsylvania, a seemingly happy family moves to a new state, and everything is going wonderfully. Soon, financial problems start to spring up, and tensions rise, but the result is something that no one expected, as police have to follow a series of cryptic hand written notes, leading them to a horrible scene. But where is the killer? This is a twisted one! Along the way, we find out that Pennsylvania German exists as a language, that happy family Christmas photos aren't always what they seem, and most of all, always be nice to your step parents!! This week, in Winnemucca, Nevada, a man moves to a new town to make a fresh start. Everything was going so well that his nephew soon joined him, and all seemed well. Until one of them disappeared. And then the other one is gone, too. With no enemies, and unable to even find the two men, police are baffled, until a rural casino waitress breaks the case wide open... Then, it really gets messy!! Along the way, we find out that Basque people can take over a town, that some people's throats just don't need to be cut, and that if you don't want something included in the evidence, you shouldn't have stolen it!! This week, in Jackson, Michigan, a seemingly serene couple owns a pizza/taco restaurant, they go on vacations together, and just seem like the perfect couple. And they were, until one of them goes missing, and their family wants answers. When they finally get those answers, they weren't exactly what the family was looking for, as one of the strangest, most brutal murder scenes we've ever heard of is found by police. But what caused this? Brain surgery? Weed? Or was this just a legitimate case of someone, actually killing the devil? It's a disaster! Along the way, we find out that Boyz II Men still has some living members, that some things just can't be blamed on weed, and that certain things shouldn't be prepared in a restaurant kitchen!! This week, in Guilford, Connecticut, a bloody discovery is made by a small child, leading police, and everyone else to wonder how this could have possibly occurred in such a nice, little town. These answers come quickly after a crazy night of crack, and murder is uncovered. With that case solved, police begin to ask about another murder... Also, it's crazy the people you meet in prison. Like serial killers. Could one killer help put away an even worse killer? Buckle up, and find out!! Along the way, we find out how the sewing machine is connected to the Statue of Liberty, that you may start to become unreasonable after not sleeping, but consuming a lot of crack over the course of 2 days, and exactly how creepy a van can be!! This week, in Guide Rock, Nebraska, the drama in multiple tumultuous relationships begins to boil over due to alcohol, anger, and close living quarters. People seem to pair off for the express purpose of bickering. Eventually, it's too much to take, and the result ends up being a dead body, hastily hidden under some boards. What follows is pure insanity, including a show down with an angry mob at a Wal-Mart parking lot. Words can't express this weirdness!! Along the way, we find out we know nothing about horse shows, that it's really hard to have a fist fight in the back seat of a car, and that you can't keep changing your murder story, if you want to be taken seriously! This week, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, a woman disappears, while her truck is found, with the engine running, and her perfectly safe, 2 year old son inside. As police try to solve the mystery of where she could be, many questions arise... Mostly, does this have anything to do with a sexually adventurous married couple she knows? He ex? An unknown enemy? Michael Jordan? Oddly enough, all of these options need to be explored, and it turns out even weirder than expected! Buckle up! Along the way, we find out that gravity apparently has something to do with sugar, that you don't have to marry everyone you meet on the internet, and that Michael Jordan may, in fact, be a cold blooded murderer!! This week, in Houma, Louisiana, a series of unfortunate events derail a man's life, after he had done so much to turn it around. Family troubles, money troubles, and his wife having an affair with the playboy owner of the local country western bar really push him over the edge. So far, that the result is a bloody trailer, and multiple dead people? How could this happen? How did it escalate? And will they actually dust off "Gruesome Gertie", the state's old electric chair? This is a wild one!! Along the way, we find out that there are actually places south of New Orleans, that you shouldn't date people that you meet in rehab, and maybe you shouldn't tell everyone you know about how no one knows you committed a murder!! This week, in Newry, Maine, a picturesque bed & breakfast in the hills of ski country is the setting of unbelievable horrors, as more bodies keep being revealed. The question isn't so much who did it. That is answered quickly by the responsible party, but why did he do it? And exactly what is wrong with this guy? It's an odd story that seems straight from Stephen King novel! Along the way, we find out that Maine people get drunker in the spring, that you must respect someone when they say they'll only tell a story one time, and that maybe you just shouldn't follow trails of blood that lead into the woods!! This week, in Townville, South Carolina, police are surprised when a man comes into the station, covered in blood, and claiming to have just killed three people in a remote area. The biggest surprise is his claim of self defense, and the twisted tale that says lead up to the deaths. This one goes all over the place, before settling on a meth fueled, septic tank fixing tirade that left three dead. Just when you think this one is over... More crazy pops up, seemingly from thin air!! Along the way, we find out meth makes you not be able to fix things, that some people just may wear condoms with the expectation of later usage, and that some situations don't lend themselves well to claims of self defense!! This week, in White Earth, Minnesota, a simple trip into the woods to go "syrupin'" ends in a well liked guy, being found, face down in the mud. There are quite a few suspects, due to the family's overcrowded living conditions, but in the end, one person, who doesn't even live with the victim begins to stand out. But did he do it? Or, was he trying to get bank loans, to start a "leeching business", while the murder occurred? Help us untangle this mess!! Along the way, we find out there is an awful lot that goes into making syrup, that leeches sound like a bad investment for a bank, and that nothing in rural Minnesota is what it seems!! This week, in Garden City, Idaho, where a local man disappears into thin air. His family is worried, but is he just on vacation? Is he having a good time? Or, is is something more sinister? The only person who may be able to answer these questions is a much younger woman, who happens to be living in his house. Where is he? Who is she? This is a wild story!! This week, in Magnolia, Texas, a man has a terrible track record with romantic involvements, until he finally finds a someone to marry, and settle down with. Problem is, his incapacity to have a nice relationship results in this marriage falling apart. This may have all worked out, except that his now ex-wife moved in with somebody else... Right across the street. Needless to say, guns, violence, and a karate outfit are what comes next! This is a wild one! This week, in Duchesne, Utah, a man who has always had trouble with the law, gets angry when some a couple that he knows may have wronged him. This anger turns to an almost cartoon like plot to not only kill, but to dispose of these people in a manner worthy of Looney Toons. All in all, there are foreign accomplices, shootings, burials, explosions, and a full grown African ion, kept as a pet. Did we mention that this story is insane?? Along the way, we find out that Mormons didn't settle all of Utah, that The Sundance Kid may have died here... or not, and that dynamite is not the most efficient way to get rid of unwanted, non-living human beings!! This week, in Whitley City, Kentucky, when a gruesome discovery is made in the back of a rural trailer, police can't quite close the net around a suspect, until a new, star witness comes forward. But are they telling the truth? It's family vs family as accusations fly, and death penalties are pushed for. This is a crazy story from the first minute! Along the way, we find out that sometimes "opportunities" aren't enough, that misunderstandings can lead to multiple deaths, and that finding fingernail clippings can cause a decade worth of court proceedings!! This week, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, a man with an incredibly troubled past lets it all out over the course of a night. The violence is shocking, but what's even more shocking is the casualness of the killer both during, and after the attacks. Will his incredibly harrowing background sway the court to let him live, or will he let out some of the oddest last words that we've heard? Along the way, we find out that a jet ski is a bad sign for a grown man, that some people just need a reset button, and that torture is considered legally heinous!! This is a crazy tale of intertwined relationships, and some serious panhandle behavior!! This week, in Marshfield, Massachusetts, a neighborhood house fire leads to the discovery of a brutal murder inside. At first, there are many theories, but eventually the question comes down to this... Was she killed by a vampire, because she was actually also a vampire? Do you need to work your way up the vampire pecking order, like some kind of direct marketing program? These questions, and many more, that you never knew you had will be answered on this episode!! This week, in Lititz, Pennsylvania, two young people find love in a group of homeschooled kids from the area. The problem is that families don't approve of their budding relationship, leading to sneaking, lying, and some generally non-church sanctioned activities. This whole situation culminates in a missed curfew, argument, and death. The attempted getaway is something to be remembered, but this whole thing will still leave a bad taste in your mouth. Either way, it's worth the ride to hear this wild story! Along the way, we find out that too many candles in one festival could be dangerous, that parents had no idea about old school social media, and that maybe you should finish the 9th grade before you plan to marry!! This week, in Crandon, Wisconsin, a college student begins an affair with one of his professors, but problems begin to arise. Mainly because this professor is a married woman, and also having several other affairs. Her mild mannered husband doesn't get mad, but instead asks all parties concerned to please stop their behavior. This of course leads to violence, but who will snap first seems like a photo finish, in this case! Along the way, we find out that the names of states apparently used to not use the letter 'y', that a lot can happen in such a rural area without anyone knowing, and that no one can really be calm about being cheated on!! This week, in Clearview, Washington, a man is troubled all his life. Drugs lead to arrests & jail as he slowly progressed in the nature of his crimes, until he finally commits a truly heinous act, and is sent to prison. Problem is, one day, he got out. When he did, he wasted no time in both picking up where he left off, and seeking revenge against all who he feels has wronged him. Will he succeed? Along the way, we find out that you had to bribe people to get them to this town, that parole boards should really do a little homework before releasing people early, and that sometimes even the most brutal act yields little sympathy! This week, in Dunbar, West Virginia, a 12 year old boy disappears, but ends up being found in the worst possible way. The police initially think they have the people responsible, only to find out they didn't. A list of 88 suspects yields no results, until 4 young boys are kidnapped while hitchhiking, and the whole thing takes a bizarre turn. In the end, the most primitive form of justice prevails, and we're not even sure we feel bad about it! Along the way, we find out that redheads need a festival, too, that hitchhiking in the hills of West Virginia is never a good idea, and that sometimes bad people police themselves... brutally! It all comes to a head, one afternoon, when a major confrontation takes place, in from to their 15 year old son... and everyone is armed! It will come as no surprise to anyone that this doesn't work out well, but that's only the beginning, as the legal waters are muddier than a Georgia swamp! This week, in Bridgeville, Delaware, a complex web of relationships emerge, causing a ton of strife. People marry, divorce, get back together, then marry one of their spouse's relatives. A brutal murder takes place, only to raise suspicions. You know what that means... more murder! Cover ups, shallow graves, and destroyed families follow, leading to some seriously interesting court proceedings. This one is a mess!! Along the way, we find out that scrapple is apparently a fruit that is easily tossed, that when you divorce, you might want to avoid marrying another member of your ex's family, and that graves should probably never be shallow!! This week, in Burlingame, California, we return for part 2 of the story of a man with a long history of perverted, violent, and downright disturbing behavior works his way through the world, leaving behind a trail of mutilation, and death. With seemingly no remorse, or end in sight, he did the unspeakable to just about anyone he encountered. The worst part of it is how much he seems to enjoy every bit of pain he causes. This one was just too much atrocity to fit into one show. Part 2 of 2!! *******Be warned. This one is extremely graphic ******* Along the way, we find out that people dress their pets up, and take them on parade, that a disturbing childhood often leads to a disturbing adult life, and that you shouldn't be pen pals with a man who killed his last pen pal! This week, in Bloomingdale, Illinois, a man blows into town, charming some of the local women, but he turns out to have a shady past that very accurately predicts his murderous behavior in the future. His treachery knows no bounds, as he kills, lies, and steals his way around the country. The weird part is, that's just the tip of this crazy iceberg, because his second life turns out to be even more unbelievable than his first. This week, in Dallas, Oregon, a successful family gives up the grind of the city, and moves out to the country, so they can run a farm, and shelter their children from the dangers of the big city. This plan works beautifully for a while, until it's proven that you don't have to be in the city to have murder come knocking on your door. The events leading up to the tragedy are as crazy as they come, complete with murder instructions, whispered by forrest! Along the way, we find out that wine is better while it's raining, that wolves & trees might not give the best life advice, and that you should always bring a decent murder weapon with you, when planning to murder!! This week, in Bonaparte, Iowa, a beloved, and affluent family is suddenly murdered in the night, leaving the entire town going crazy, and locking their doors. The killer ends up being the last person who had reason to do it, and the excuses are as weak as they get. Fights over inheritances mix with fights over being kicked out of a mediocre apartment due to drug paraphernalia. This is the quintessential small town murder!! Along the way, we find out yard sales are considered a "festival" in some places, that you can only help your kids so much, and that no matter how bad your eye sight is, you know if a member of your immediate family is killing you!! This week, in Red Springs, North Carolina, a man with a long history of violent behavior goes way too far, and a young g woman ends up dead, sending the town into a panic, because this isn't the only recent murder of a young woman. This week, in Amityville, New York, two people find love, and appear to be living the American dream, until some problems begin to arise. From these problems, someone unexpected is murdered, and the plot that is unraveled sounds too incredible to be true, as a tale of meetings, plans, offers, and cover ups were happening, in the background. This is seriously one of the crazy ones. All of it! Along the way, we find out that a fake haunting can make a town famous, that the term "dolphin head" may be a much more perverted thing than you'd think, and that you should always be sure to kill the person that you want dead!! This week, in Dewey, Oklahoma, a young man is born into the worst of circumstances, only to be raised in the best of circumstances. None of this matters as he follows a path of violence, prison, escape, and even more violence, finally finding out that he's not the first in his gene pool to end up in the same situation that he finds himself. His statements are brash, and his actions are much worse. This a truly crazy episode!! Happy 100th!! Along the way, we find out that rubber ducks are a magnet for baptist gamblers, that you can make murder worse just by what you say, and who wins the father/son death penalty race!! This week, in Peru, Indiana, an unlikely couple from different sides of the tracks have what appears to be a story book romance... until you dig a little deeper, and find some very interesting tales from the past. To the outside world, they seem like the perfect couple, in the perfect house, with the perfect life. The problem is that someone ends up dead, leading to finger pointing, and a frustrating investigation! It's definitely an interesting one!! Along the way, we find out most circus performers are probably pedophiles, that being stabbed doesn't have to ruin the vibe, and that sometimes jury members are clearly open to negotiation!! This week, in Belmont, New Hampshire, a couple's fiery relationship causes everyone around them concern, until the whole thing erupts, taking down others in the process. Fingerprints, blood, and even an eye witness end up being discovered, but is that enough to keep him from further terrorizing New Hampshire? It's a wild one!! Along the way, we find out that a mill sounds like a boring place to work, that those who do meth together, tend to stay together, and that human beings just aren't very flammable!
