Jane Fonda lost her mother when she took her own life at the mere age of 42. Jane was the daughter of the second wife of actor Henry Fonda, Frances Ford Seymour. Frances’ life was fraught with complications and her medical records noted that she had suffered from sexual abuse as a child. The marriage with Henry was fraught with trouble. Jane Fonda has said that the death of her mother turned out to be one of the defining moments of her life. She was only 12 years old when her mother passed away. Her father did not bother to tell her or her brother what exactly had killed their mother until she found out nearly a year later. Henry Fonda had told his children that his wife had died of a heart attack; when in actuality she tragically died of suicide at Craig House, a sanatorium. Shannon from Lessons From Lifetime joins Carrie to discuss another missing case- the strange disappearance of a mother and daughter almost a year apart. One night after a trip, Korrina came back and had an argument with her husband. She left the house to cool down and her car was found the next day; her boss reported her missing when she did not show up for work. She left behind her 11 year old daughter from a prior relationship and two little boys under the age of 4. Almost a year later, in the same spot the car was found, her daughter would go missing. Passerbys saw her waiting for the bus; however, twenty minutes later when the bus showed up- she was nowhere to be seen.  Find Shannon's show Lessons From A Lifetime Podcast where you find this one and on Twitter @fromlifetime and Instagram @lessonsfromlifetimepodcast. Skye from Histories, Mysteries & Conspiracies guest co-hosts on this episode to talk about whether Alan Turing's Death was an accident or suicide. Turing was instrumental in the end of World War 2 - he helped design methods of breaking the German code. Sadly, under the criminal law amendment act of 1885, he was prosecuted for "gross indecency" since he was gay. As a result, he underwent chemical castration. Alan Turing was found dead by his housekeeper in 1954 at the age of 41 by apparent suicide by cyanide poisoning. There was a half eaten apple next to him.  Follow Histories, Mysteries & Conspiracies Podcast  Twitter: twitter.com/podcasthmct Instagram: instagram.com/hmctpodcast Follow Sip & Shine Podcast on Social Media: don’t be shy Twitter: twitter.com/sipshinepod Facebook: facebook.com/sipshinepod Instagram: instagram.com/sipshinepod More Episodes & Information sipandshinepodcast.com This episode in general may contain certain copyrighted works that were not specifically authorized to be used by the copyrighted holder(s), but which we believe in good faith are protected by general law and the fair use doctrine for one or more of the purposes of criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship or research. John du Pont was heir to the Du Pont family fortune. On the 26th of 1996, du Pont shot and killed Dave Schultz in the driveway of his home that was located on the overall property of the philanthropist. Police were unable to establish a motive; other than, possible mental illness influenced du Pont’s motives. Many people had notice du Pont’s increasing disruptive murder in the months prior. After the shooting occurred, he locked himself in his mansion for two days while he negotiated with the police on the telephone. They were finally able to draw him out when they shut off his heater and he went out to fix it.
