The Pittsburgh Pirates made another addition to the outfield this weekend by signing Michael A Taylor to a 1-year $4 million deal. Also, we have been seeing a mixed bag among those starters battling for a spot in the rotation. Has Jared Jones made his case to make the Opening Day roster?

Jim and Neil hop on to discuss today's Spring Training game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Tampa Bay Rays. Nick Gonzales and Matt Gorski homered while both Josh Fleming and Chase Anderson continued their auditions for a spot on the Opening Day staff in an 8-4 win over the Rays.

Quinn Priester looked very good today facing a Yankees lineup mostly filled with everyday players. Pitching 4.2 innings, Priester allowed just one earned while striking out 5 batters. Also, Jack Suwinski had an impressive 3-hit day with a 3-run show in the 7th. Jason Delay and Jack Brannigan also added to the offense with multi-hit games.

Today the Pittsburgh Pirates signed Michael A. Taylor to a 1-year, $4 million deal and Domingo German to a 1-year, $1.5 million minor league deal.

Both DiNardo & Fort are back home from visiting Bradenton during Pirates Spring Training and talk their optimism about this lineup, but most deeply about the catching situation starting with Henry Davis. One of the major question marks coming into this season was if Davis could catch and how well. Fort dives a little into what he has seen and heard about Davis as well as Jason Delay and Yasmani Grandal.
