Waking up in the middle of the night to take care of your kids is always stressful. Is it a dirty diaper? Is it a bad dream? Is it that baby is hungry? All these questions run through your head as you make your way over to take care of the baby. And then, while you’re taking care of baby, feeding or comforting, you can make the most of your unexpected awake time by praying or reading a devotional. In this episode, Dr. Meg asked her associate, Lisbeth Keen, to interview Becky Thompson and Susan Pitts. They are a mother and daughter duo responsible for the Midnight Momblog as well as the new book Midnight Mom Devotional: 365 Prayers to Put Your Momma Heart to Rest. The book is a great resource for mothers who find themselves awake for various reasons in the middle of the night taking care of the kiddos. Every prayer can either be directed toward yourself or toward a friend or family member that you know is working through the stresses of raising children. Also in this episode, Dr. Meg will give you her points to ponder that you can start using right away and answers questions from parents who are concerned about the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic. If you have a question you want Dr. Meeker to answer in a future episode or on the Meeker Parenting Community page, email them to askmeg@megmeekermd.com and listen to see if your question is featured next! 1:09 – WELCOMEDr. Meg introduces the topic “Midnight Mom Devotional” along with her guests Becky Thompson and Susan Pitts and teases her points to ponder that you can start using right away. 2:38 – A CONVERSATION WITH BECKY THOMPSON AND SUSAN PITTS (PART 1)In today’s episode Dr. Meeker has Lisbeth Keen filling in to interview her guests Becky Thompson and Susan Pitts as they talk about their blog and new book Midnight Mom Devotional: 365 Prayers to Put Your Momma Heart to Rest. 15:48 – A CONVERSATION WITH BECKY THOMPSON AND SUSAN PITTS (PART 1)In today’s episode Dr. Meeker has Lisbeth Keen filling in to interview her guests Becky Thompson and Susan Pitts as they talk about their blog and new book Midnight Mom Devotional: 365 Prayers to Put Your Momma Heart to Rest. 24:50 – POINTS TO PONDERDr. Meg gives you her points to ponder as you learn more about how to have peace as a mom during stressful times. 26:37 – LET’S GET SOCIALEmail Dr. Meg at askmeg@megmeekermd.com or tweet your question to her @MegMeekerMD.
