They weren’t looking to adopt or foster at the time, but they said yes, and their life became all about their new family. During the final stages of the adoption process they experienced an unexpected contested adoption, which meant that they spent over a year and a half in court fighting to keep their family together. In the end the kids were taken from them with 12 hours notice and Ashley and her husband were not even allowed to tell the kids they weren’t coming home. Now Chase is on a mission to break down myths about what creativity is and who can practice it. To actually make a decision you have to put skin in the game, say no to things and schedule your calendar so that it’s aligned with your dreams. Lately I've been fierce about making sure that I have room in my calendar for all of my new projects. And I am so proud of myself because, looking back at last year, I had a calendar full of things that I didn't necessarily want to do. I was more reacting to life than actually taking time to think if it was something that would move the needle forward. I was doing things because I didn't want to say no and hurt people's feelings. These are the only things that are stopping you from living your biggest dream and living out the gifts that God gave you. And when you don’t live your biggest dream, you're stopping the person who you're meant to help from getting the help that they need. You are literally cutting off their lifeline because that message is meant to come through you. Write down what you’re afraid of to see how ridiculous your thoughts are. Are you scared that your opinionated friend Becky is going to say something on Instagram? Are you scared that your moms’ group is going to say, who do you think you are? Are you scared that your husband or ex-boyfriend will say you're failing again? I want you to literally ask pain and fear to bring it on because you can handle it. Pain and the failure is where all of the learning and value is. Bring it on. You can do hard things, you can handle hard things. You can handle feedback, you can handle criticism. You choose if you're going to get taken down or you get back up but every time you get back up, you get stronger, you grow a muscle. In This Episode You Will Learn About: Lindsay Schwartz and Lori’s 5-day immersive workshop on how to run profitable events, retreats or masterminds How fear is your friend How fear has so many beautiful messages for us How fear marks the exact spot to where you need to go   Resources: eventluv.com The Bliss Project 2020   Show Notes: Today’s episode is all about fear. There are three main things that you need to know. Firstly, fear is your friend. When we resist fear, we're so focused on what we don't want to happen. We're so focused on building stories that don't actually exist yet that we're not actually putting our energy towards moving forward and taking action and creating a world where no matter what, we are only focusing on winning, and we're only focusing on things going right. So give it an outlet and space to acknowledge it in. Secondly fear has so many beautiful messages for you. It's trying to tell us something, like, hey, this might need a little bit more attention, or, you need a little more support around this. Thirdly, your fear marks the exact spot to where you need to go. Write down the three actions that you're most afraid of doing. One of those is most likely the thing that you need to do in the next week. If you don't get comfortable with fear, you'll never be able to create what you want because every step you take is uncertain. And there is no one there to tell you that you have made a good decision because you're the boss. I hope today’s quickie serves as a reminder or way for you to be able to get back to the heart-centered reason of WHY you’re working on your dreams. Earn Your Happy is a production of Crate Media

In This Episode You Will Learn About: Chris and Lori’s Become Aligned course How Natalya and Naomi deal with their very busy schedules How going to the gym with her mom is helping Natalya deal with the loss of her father How Natalya and Naomi make time for their families How having children fits into a wrestling career Natalya and Naomi’s next steps How it took Natalya five years to get into WWE How Natalya and Naomi support each other and their fellow competitors    Resources: Instagram: @_wwe_natalya_ Instagram: @trinity_fatu The Bliss Project 2020 Chris and Lori’s Become Aligned course Show Notes: Today my guests are WWE stars Natalya and Naomi. We chat about how they keep each other motivated even though they’re on the road and busy all the time. We also cover how Natalya is coping with the loss of her father and how they make time for their families. In this conversation I learnt a lot about how Natalya and Naomi push through to reach their goals. For example it took Natalya five years to get accepted for WWE but she kept trying.   Question Highlights: You want to stay in shape for the ring. But you’re on the road all the time. How do you mentally prepare for that?  What do you do when it feels like you can't push through mentally?  What is something that you wish more people knew about you? What are your next steps, career wise? When did you realize that helping other competitors and lifting them up actually lifts you up? What are you most excited about right now in your life? What is something for people who feel like they're either afraid or hitting a wall?    Guest Bio: With a combination of beauty, talent and untamed desire, Natalya is proudly carrying on the legacy of the legendary Hart Family in WWE. The daughter of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, Natalya was trained in the rough-and-tumble Hart Dungeon. That unforgiving training ground that churned out mat greats like Brian Pillman and Natalya's husband, Tyson Kidd, molded The Queen of Harts into one of WWE's most dangerous submission grapplers. She also learned from her uncle Bret “Hit Man” Hart by driving many of her opponents to tap via a Sharpshooter. Her presence out of the ring is almost as formidable: Starring on E!’s Total Divas reality series and working as an active supporter of WWE and The Creative Coalition’s Be a STAR Alliance, Make-A-Wish, Susan G. Komen and the WrestleMania Reading Challenge. Natalya came agonizingly close to capturing championships for several years until she finally broke through at SummerSlam 2017, defeating Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s Championship to earn the gold for the first time since claiming the Divas Title in 2010. The WWE Universe always assumed it would take a man of tremendous ability to live up to the legendary legacy of the pink and black. As it turned out, it’s doing just fine in this woman’s hands. As the second-highest cause of whiplash behind car accidents, Naomi first turned heads as a dancer for the NBA's Orlando Magic and hip-hop stars like Flo Rida. These talents would take her around the world, as Naomi performed everywhere from North Korea to Indonesia. Despite all that success, Naomi's dance steps couldn’t satisfy her competitive spirit, which is how she found herself as a contestant on WWE NXT. Despite being eliminated in the final week of her season, Naomi soon launched into orbit around Planet Funk, as one half of The Funkadactyls. From there, she broke out on her own, determined to take WWE by storm. The Total Divas star has since had a series of remarkable runs as both fan-favorite and corner-cutting villain, doggedly pursuing the Divas Championship for the better part of a year and cementing her status as a ring general by heading up the attitude-filled Team B.A.D. of Tamina and Sasha Banks during the Divas Evolution.  Naomi then reinvented herself yet again as part of the SmackDown LIVE brand, making one-and-all feel the glow as she came face-to-face with her destiny by winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice, including an epic victory at WrestleMania 33 in a Six-Pack Challenge Match. A year later, she made history once again when she eliminated Bayley to win the first-ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34. After the 2019 Superstar Shake-up, Naomi is now adding a glow to the red brand. Earn Your Happy is a production of Crate Media

Alexa watched wrestling growing up, then competed as a bodybuilder while she was recovering from eating disorders. Although she got a lucky break to become a wrestler she says really she was training for it her whole life because she’s been in athletics since she was five. In this conversation we talk about online bullying, handling out of control situations and pushing yourself to achieve your goals. What I learnt from interviewing Alexa is that the basic mindset and principles are the same exact across the board, no matter what your dream is. I don't care if you want to start a business. I don't care if you want to be an entrepreneur. I don't care if you want to be a WWE superstar. It is all the same mindset and belief in yourself and connection to other people.   Question Highlights: How did you become a professional wrestler? How did you integrate recovering from eating disorders into your fitness journey?   How do you keep a safe boundary for yourself mentally when you're in the public eye all the time?   What keeps you going in those moments where you don't think there's anything left?   What do you hope teenage girls get from seeing you?   Guest Bio: Alexa has been a driven competitor her entire life, excelling especially in gymnastics and eventually becoming a Division I cheerleader. Alexa even entered the world of competitive bodybuilding, where she became one of the youngest competitors to receive her IFBB Professional status. With such an incredible athletic background, it’s little wonder that Alexa quickly became one of NXT’s most dangerous Superstars. Although she never captured the NXT Women’s Title, she was a constant threat.   When she joined SmackDown LIVE, Alexa ascended to the top by becoming a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion. Then she made history at WWE Payback, becoming the first Superstar to win both the SmackDown Women's Title and the Raw Women's Title.  Earn Your Happy is a production of Crate Media

She traveled, lived and worked in over 50 countries while studying Kabbalah, learning Buddhist meditation and working with South American shamans and Indian gurus. Her life goal for many years now has been to figure out how science and spirituality work hand in hand. And that's ultimately what led her to write her book, Fulfilled: The Science of Spirituality and How it Can Help You Live a Happier, More Meaningful Life. In this episode she shares with us her fundamental truths around fulfillment.   Also learn about my Become Aligned course. The reason why my husband Chris and I created this course is because we get asked so many questions on how we started living the life that we live now, a life of happiness, of abundance, of really understanding that life is always full of problems every single day, but there's always a solution. In the course we cover everything from mindset to the rituals that we do every single day. We talk about different energy sources, we talk about your purpose, what that actually means and how it's always changing. We show you how to build a tribe to support where you're going. And we talk about wealth, abundance, money, all of the good things, and how to sustain them. Question Highlights: I want to know how science and spirituality work hand in hand. What is a really good starting place for people to start unpacking that? How does spirituality change your brainwaves? What is it about being fulfilled for you that made you want to write about this whole topic? What is your main false sense of fulfillment? And how did you figure out what was true for you? Is there something that you're surrendering right now? And what exactly is the narrative in your brain when you are releasing or letting go of something or offering it up? What does living in your purpose mean? Can your purpose change? How do we know when it changes? What are the fundamental truths that you have found around fulfillment for you?   Guest Bio: Dr. Anna Yusim is an award-winning, nationally recognized psychiatrist, speaker and author with a private practice in New York City. In This Episode You Will Learn About: Why Monique is so passionate about helping women live their purpose How she established boundaries and let other people take care of her when she was sick Speaking your truth in a way that allows you to maintain your relationships Showing up, even if you don’t feel you don’t have anything important to contribute yet   Resources: Instagram: @moniquebryan_co Twitter: @MoniquebryanTO Learn more: moniquebryan.com Learn more: The Bliss Project   Show Notes: Monique Bryan shows up in such a beautiful way. She is a speaker, a personal branding expert, a triple positive breast cancer survivor. She also helps successful women entrepreneurs package and sell their genius and unlock the lucrative world of personal brand building. Monique draws widespread admiration for her passion, hustle and unshakeable commitment to helping women showcase their expertise and pitch with confidence. She gave a Tribe Talk at the Bliss Project this year, and I’m so excited she could join me on the podcast to share her story with you all. Question Highlights:   What was your experience preparing for the Tribe Talk?    Was there any parts that you were like, ‘Oh, my God, if I don't share this, will they understand?’ What were the reminders that you had to tell yourself to get through cancer treatment?   How do you accept help or ask for help?   What does that first step of being able to speak your truth look like?   Guest Bio: Monique Bryan is based in Toronto and runs her own branding consultancy. Monique has a BA in Fashion Design from Ryerson University and spent time studying abroad in London at the University of Westminster.  Upon returning to Toronto, Monique landed a design position for national retailer Le Chateau and worked her way up to Product Manager for all of ladieswear, becoming the youngest executive at the company. She quickly learned the ins and outs of manufacturing and global sourcing from working with their partners across Asia. But it was her frequent trips to India where she discovered her love of jewellery design and in 2010 she launched a jewellery company, landing her line in retailers across Toronto and New York.  This began her crash course in entrepreneurship and where she discovered her true love for business and marketing. So, when she was offered a chance to head up an accelerator program helping entrepreneurs jump-start their business five years later, she jumped at the chance. Partnering with global brands such as Paypal, Burberry, and Toms Shoes, Monique thought she had found her calling. But before she had a chance to decide, she discovered a lump in her left breast that changed her life forever. Over the next year Monique underwent eight rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and 21 rounds of radiation, documenting the entire journey through her uncensored and very real account, on her blog, “Surprise, It’s Cancer!” Her blog was discovered by the writers at “Entrepreneur Magazine” and Monique was featured in the October issue in 2018. Today Monique has built a loyal following through her 10K + followers, speaks at events and conducts workshops while running her brand consultancy. Earn Your Happy is a production of Crate Media

In This Episode You Will Learn About: What to do when you hit rock-bottom How it’s important to be able to ask for help Making sure that the environment that you are in or creating for yourself is thriving How you need to show up for yourself every day   Resources: Learn more: The Bliss Project Instagram: @ginaandsugar   Show Notes: I’m so excited to bring you this episode with the amazing Gina Meyers. Gina is a celebrity fitness instructor and motivational life coach in Los Angeles, California, where she has been changing lives for over a decade. On the show we talk about how Gina changed her life when she realized she was desperately unhappy and how she manages to show up every day, even when she’s not feeling it. Question Highlights:   How did you learn to create the SoulCycle experience for people?     What does it look like when you feel like you're failing? What were the thoughts going on in your head that you were like, I can't live this way anymore? How did you meet your husband? What is one of the biggest lessons that motherhood has taught you? What has being in a SoulCycle room just about every single day taught you? Why did you start racing cars? What is something that you are craving more of right now in your life?   Guest Bio: Originally from Cincinnati Ohio, Gina packed her bag and followed her childhood dream of being an actress when she moved to California in 1996. After years of auditioning for small parts on television shows, movies, and commercials, she realized that her passion was not in the entertainment industry. Instead, she found her calling in the early 2000s when she realized her true passion was helping others love themselves and feel good in their own skin. Gina’s fitness coaching career began as a yoga and spin instructor at a boutique studio in Venice, California. In 2012, Gina was recruited to be a founding Los Angeles instructor for SoulCycle. Previously only in New York City, Gina helped launch SoulCycle’s west coast venture. She personally helped open up four current Los Angeles studios: West Hollywood, Brentwood, Santa Monica, and Malibu. Recognized for her fitness following, in 2015 Gina became an ambassador for Lululemon Santa Monica and was promoted to Master Instructor at SoulCycle in 2017 as part of the first group of Master Instructors on the west coast. Gina’s passion is grounded in helping others feel their best. In Gina’s work, she not only motivates and inspires her clients to push their physical limits, but to also be mindful of their internal dialogue to create shifts in their perspective. Gina’s classes offer a safe space for individuals to explore their limits, challenge their minds and their bodies, and most importantly walk away feeling accomplished and successful. Gina strives to create meaningful connections and believes vulnerability and self-love are the foundation of a happy life. When not teaching or training, Gina is spending quality time with her husband, two dogs, and two year old son. Earn Your Happy is a production of Crate Media

In This Episode You Will Learn About: Having children later in life What has shaped Rob to live the life he has now Being in an environment that doesn’t match your energy Dealing with past traumas Trusting your gut Leaving chiropractics to start his mastermind What Rob has learned from his travels + what inspires him Over preparing versus allowing the magic to happen Knowing he needed to pivot + how he did it Seeking out environments to change you What motivates Rob Hearing the whispers and following them Rob’s zone of genius + what he believes he’s here on earth for   Resources: Learn more: workhardplayhardpodcast.com Instagram: @robmurgatroyd Listen: Work Hard Play Hard Podcast   Show Notes: I’m so excited to share today’s episode with you because I got to sit down with Rob Murgatroyd, a lifestyle designer, podcast host, and close friend. Rob has had a massive impact on my life, and has helped me think bigger, differently, and is someone that I truly value. This conversation is so great because, even though our friendship spans a decade, I still learned so much from him. Rob has stepped into his zone of genius and it’s been an incredible thing to watch– I just know you’re going to take away so much from this episode!   Question Highlights:   What are the pros and cons of having children later in life?   What do you think has shaped you in your life? How do you handle dealing with past trauma? How did you get to where you are now from being in a chiropractic career? Why did you want to do this mastermind? How did you know you had to pivot? How did you support yourself? Are you more motivated by pain or pleasure? What do you believe you are on this earth for?   Guest Bio: I have overcome my share of obstacles in order to architect the life of my dreams and uncover the key to lasting, meaningful success. Growing up in Queens (literally on the wrong side of the tracks), my early years were tumultuous, marked by hardship and violence. With home being a less-than-idyllic place, I clung to work and education as my ticket out of the bedroom I shared with three brothers, and the low-income reality of the life my parents couldn’t seem to escape. The minute I was old enough, I threw myself into any job I could get my hands on, from washing cars at filling stations, to washing hair in salons. In hindsight, the high-end neighborhood across the tracks (home to the doctors and lawyers) likely played an unconscious role in my decision to attend school to be a chiropractor. Post high school graduation, I moved to Atlanta to complete my training and never looked back.   Over the next decade, I built a successful chiropractic practice, welcomed my first child, experienced the heartbreak of a challenging divorce, found healing and redemption when I met and married my wife, and read a book that changed my life and uncovered for me the world of lifestyle-entrepreneurship. That book was The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris. Having spent my entire life thus far in relentless hustle mode, I was ready for the PLAY HARD side of the hard work coin. My wife and I wanted to escape the grind and travel the world, so we did. In 2006 we launched our travel/lifestyle Blog ‘Jetset Life’ and my all or nothing tendencies showed up for the party.   Predictably, poppin’ bottles on yachts grew old and I became aware that once again my life was out of balance and I felt disconnected and unfulfilled. THIS was the pivotal moment I decided to apply myself to mastering the counter-balance between the science of achievement and the art of fulfillment. From THIS, the Work Hard Play Hard podcast and mastermind was born. Earn Your Happy is a production of Crate Media
