When Mia Edgar set out to join the military, her crossfit lifestyle and medical training were the perfect fit for the U.S. Navy's Underwater Medical Officer program - a rigorous training program where while you are receiving underwater training, you are learning academically about nuclear physics, nuclear reactors, submarines, and diving medicine followed by six weeks of training at the Navy Dive and Salvage training center in Panama City, FL before earning the Diving Medical Officer badge.
