DTD Podcast 11 - Ask Arv 4: What is the Process of Designing a Car?- Today's question comes from Sam.  Sam was curious to understand what the process was to design a car from concept to production. This is a hard question to answer in a single podcast and we could probably discuss several topics and talk for hours on each particular segment.  So I will do my best to break down what I know the process is.  

Today's question comes from Jeff!  Jeff is 57 Years Old and asked me a very interesting question.  He wanted to know whether it is possible to change his career and enter into the field of Industrial Design or Automotive Design.

We received a question from Marcy who asked was not concerned about drawing cars.  She is a drawing hobbyists that wanted to know 3-5 drawing techniques that could be used in areas other then automobiles. We received a question from one of our friends inquiring about a career shift into automotive design.  Wasim wanted to know whether it was too late to become a designer.   In this episode and our first Ask Arv Question, I will break down the steps to becoming a designer and the critical questions you need to ask yourself about a chosen career path.

DTD Podcast 7 - Jack of all Trades Master of Many? - We are going to discuss a HIGHLY debatable topic today.  It's  about being an expert in many areas or in other words, a Jack of All Trades. It's often been said that being a Jack of all Trades is a bad thing.  Why? Because you are not a master of anything and when you are in a corporate structure, you have to be skilled in a particular area in order to get hired for that job.  However, being a Jack of all Trades is not necessarily a bad thing as my think.  In fact it can help open your mind to new ideas and discover your true passions in life!

DTD Podcast Episode 6 - Creativity is an illusive subject because many people talk about it but have no idea HOW or WHEN they can implement creativity.  However, when people think of creativity, what comes to mind is colorful illustrations, paintings, musicians, etc.. Creativity is a process however, and a process in which you are trying to solve a particular problem.  This process can be cultivated into your lifestyle and guide the way you think.  So on this episode, we are going to talk about a 5 Step process and give you some examples of people that have used something as simple as a napkin sketch to plant the seeds for a product.
