Witnessing Janel step into life and relationships as the most true version of herself has been an inspiration.
Janel believes that when we customize our relationships to fit our authentic needs and desires, not social expectations, we create emotional intimacy—which is real relationship security. When we open to be the most true versions of ourselves we are more likely to stay in relationships that empower us to grow with us as we evolve.
When I first heard Nancy Lucina share her birth story on the Free Birth Society Podcast, I had chills. After hearing countless stories of women leaving a hospital birth experience disempowered, I knew I wanted to sit down with Nancy and hear her wisdom firsthand..
Ever since I was a little girl I sat with existential questions like, “What’s really happening here?” “Why are we doing this?” “What’s the point of it all?”
I didn’t have many people to turn to for answers, until finally after college, I stepped on to a path of spirituality, meditation and yoga. I was led to deeper insight and intuitive wisdom within my body, where I began to remember and ascend.
With the Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse just around the corner, our planet has been elevating into higher states of consciousness as the dark is being brought into the light. In this episode Meredith Rom shares more about the power of the heart, the golden age upon us, anti-racism work, amplifying voices of color and tools to navigate these potent times.
As time slows down during quarantine I’ve been so much more observant of the world outside my doorstep. I’ve noticed how the flowers change each day, which plants the bees are most drawn to, new life sprouting from seeds, and how alive and changing the natural world really is when we are still enough to witness.
Have you been yearning to honor your divine feminine essence? The power of your womb? The blessing of your heart?
Our latest podcast episode is full with feminine mystery. I sat down with Shona Keeli Rose of the Rose Lineage Mystery School to hear her powerful story of healing her womb, and remembering her path as a Priestess and Womb oracle in preparation of this time of global awakening.
It was in a field in Sebastopol that I first cuddled up in a sleeping bag with about thirty other people to receive the wisdom and stories of Stargazer Li while beholding the vast night sky, probably one of my first times really taking it in since I was a child.
Besides the incredible experience of learning about the stories behind the constellations, I also realized how much I loved being in the presence of someone so excited about life, and truly living her dharma.
Welcome to the 100th episode of Rising Women Leaders. It’s been almost 5 years of releasing content to you, there’s so much we’ve learned, so many women we’ve had the honor of speaking to on the podcast, and so many sisters we’ve connected with on the journey of starting this community…
In this episode we talk with natural beekeeper Ariella Daly about the connection between the honeybees and the sacred feminine.
By this time, I imagine a lot of you are “sheltering in place” at home because of the coronavirus. Like many of you, I’ve navigated the ups, the downs and the fears of these uncertain times. My heart is with you. As I’ve gone through all the feelings, coming back to my center through meditation practices, I’ve begun to find the gifts of what is being asked of us right now. Here are 8 messages I’ve received that I feel are the true gifts and invitations of this time…
This conversation gave me chills.
Ayana Young is a deeply inspired woman, connected to the Earth, the soil, the plants and the animals. She is also host of the For the Wild podcast, and specializes in intersectional environmental and social justice, deep ecology and land-based restoration.
Have you been wondering why dating seems so difficult? Why the men you really like tend to be unavailable or straight up ghosting you, while the men you’re just not attracted to at all won’t leave you alone?
The answers to these questions may be uncovered through learning about your attachment style.
While I was preparing for my recent webinar, The Role of the Priestess in the Modern Age, it became clear to me that there were 5 core wounds that have consistently held back the women I’ve worked with from activating their soul gifts and creating world change.
This conversation was originally aired on the Vital Mother Podcast with Jillian Anderson.
Did you know that almost every person on this planet, has experienced shame around their sexuality at some point in their lives? Shame makes an imprint on our sexuality, whether we realize it or not. Our shame story creates conscious and subconscious blocks within us, disconnecting us from our precious, sensitive and sacred sexuality. When we’re disconnected from our sacred sexuality, we disconnect from our truest love and acceptance of Self.
In this conversation we discussed feminine and masculine polarity, as well as how to harness those energies for greater balance, ease and grace. When we set in place a structure (the masculine), our more feminine qualities can be more fully expressed... This conversation is full of gems, especially if you wish to deepen on a devotional path.
*There’s still time to join us on the Big Island Retreat + for our new free webinar, The Role of the Priestess in the Modern Age*
It’s been so incredible to have access to all we do in this era of Technology…. It’s an honor to introduce you to dear sister Kelly Robinson today on the podcast! She is a kind soul I met on pilgrimage in Egypt one year ago.
After touring for years around the world with Nahko & Medicine for the People, Hope Medford decided to have a baby. In this episode, Hope and I discuss her journey of becoming a doula and midwife, what it has been like to attend over 450 births and her experience of performing in front of thousands as drummer for Nahko & Medicine for the People.
This interview has been a long time coming! I’m so excited to introduce you today to DeAnna Batdorff, founder of the Ayurvedic school and center where I teach yoga in my town of Sebastopol, CA. The dhyana Center is a true gem. It opened its doors to its new space in the heart of downtown Sebastopol the same year I moved here and has been a community hub for me ever since.
I first discovered Veladya Chapman searching youtube for more information about the herbal medicine, Kratom, after I heard it has been shown to reduce physical pain. I found her video to be so clear and well-produced, and I just loved the energy she brought to the topic of herbal medicine.

How often have you created a whole conversation in your mind ~ a conversation that hasn’t even happened?
In this episode, Baelyn and I talk about the craziness of the mind. In particular, the fear, the illusions and projections we create that so often lead to separation.
To move from a thought to an action, the nature of the mind can create such a drain of our energy. That’s why Baelyn begins every morning with meditation and tea ceremony.
Have you ever wondered why empaths and narcissists are often so attracted to each other? Or what it means when people talk about co-dependency?
In this conversation today with Leah Morris we dive into the topic of relationships - especially the kinds of unhealthy patterns so many of us can fall into. We discuss what they are, how to avoid them, and also how to attract the kind of love that is deep, true and long-lasting…
Meg is a mother, teacher, healer, podcaster and social scientist that empowers women to step into sacred, social leadership. This conversation was full with wisdom on how to show up and embrace a world that can often feel overwhelming. In this episode we talk about how to simultaneously take care of ourselves and give back at a time that is asking for all of us to be leaders.
I left this conversation with Lee Noto so energized!
Her story of burning out after hustling her way to the top is all too common… I feel her story and message are deeply needed at a time where so many of us still struggle with pushing beyond our limits.
May this conversation remind you to slow down and integrate the power of the feminine into your life…

I love connecting with women supporting others to come into the power of their voice, and this week’s podcast guest, Jumakae is one of those women. We go deep into talking about what we’ve witnessed supporting women to break free from old stories and limiting beliefs and what happens when a woman begins to see her challenges and difficulties as a source of empowerment to activate and inspire others.
I realize many of you who may just be finding the Rising Women Leaders podcast may not know my story of how I came to start this podcast and do this work, so today I get to share with you! This episode is from when I was interviewed by Meg Berryman, host of the Beyond Being Well podcast. Meg holds beautiful space for me to share my deepest truths ~ what I believe in, what I feel I’m here for, and how I help women rise in the world of feminine leadership.
It was such an honor to sit down to speak with Nikki Silvestri of Soil & Shadow this week. From her life as a speaker to CEO and mom, I was inspired to learn about Nikki’s life behind-the-scenes of her business.
Nikki shares what it looks like for her to embody her spiritual practice in her day-to-day activities, as well as what it took to get to where she is now: To have a family, thriving business, and career as a public speaker and change-maker with an environmental, social and economic impact.
As an entrepreneur I have had to “look under the hood” when it comes to my own relationship to money. It took time to learn how to charge my worth, receive and accept money in my life, and actually educate myself on all the things I didn’t know.
The truth is, once you heal the old stories you've been carrying around money, it feels really awesome to earn it, to save it, and to spend it on things you love.
It’s been three years since I last had my dear friend Karen Prosen on the Rising Women Leaders podcast, and so much has happened!
I’ve walked by Karen’s side as I’ve watched her life dismantle and rebuild from the ground up. From break-up, loss, a kundalini crisis and awakening to traveling the world and aligning with her soul’s work, there is so much we cover in this intimate conversation.
I’ve been loving Alexandra Roxo’s raw, real & personal stories on instagram and am so excited to have her on the podcast to share with you today!
I was curious to hear about Alexandra’s journey finding the spiritual path, what tantra means to her, how she supports women through her work, what fears she’s been facing and especially her advice on being the most REAL and authentic version of YOU, despite the fear of what others may think of it.
What an honor it is to welcome Ashley Turner to the Rising Women Leaders podcast!
Ashley didn’t shy away from any of the questions I asked, including several personal questions — how her wounds of being rejected in college became her medicine & opportunity to teach, what she’s currently learning & how she’s growing in her relationship, the inherent vulnerability of leadership, and what she does when she feels triggered by comparing herself to other women.
I’ve had both a challenging and exhilarating relationship with public speaking - from growing up absolutely dreading it and avoiding it at all costs, to discovering that when I am finally up there and doing it, I have a lot to share, and am been able to make a meaningful impact.
Today’s guest Johanna Walker shares her story of growing up on the more shy and quiet side only to discover the profound presence and power of her voice on stage.
I thought I would start off the year with sharing my popular masterclass from last year all about how to live 2019 Fulfilled.
Six Principles to tap into true fulfillment, peace and lasting joy
A step by step process to align with your intentions for the new year, and how to take tangible steps to manifest them
The most common forms of resistance and self-sabotage and how to work with them
Secrets of the Queen archetype to harness your true potential
Many of us can easily get lost in self-doubt and “what-if’s” when we take a step into unfamiliar territory. Kelly Smith was no different when she was faced with a decision to move from a progressive city to a small town in Missouri with her husband while he finished medical school. She knew she was faced a choice - either she could be a victim to her circumstances and let her inner critic voices get the best of her, or she could make something truly amazing from the experience she had been given.
What would it be like to feel comfortable sharing your emotions at work? To always feel safe to speak from your heart? To honor your sensitivity as a gift?
If you find yourself listening to the Rising Women Leaders podcast, you are most certainly part of a global movement happening right now of restoring femininity to her rightful place in perfect balance and divine union with the masculine.
Have you ever had an experience of feeling completely fine and happy in one moment to feeling distressed and upset in the next? If so, you may have had your mood and thoughts taken over by someone that is not even you!

I was lucky to host this beautiful being, Luna Love, for a few weeks in my home this summer and was honored to have the opportunity to do an in-person interview with her as a return guest on the podcast. (Listen to Luna's original episode here)
This happened to be right after Luna finished a death midwifery training, and I was astounded to hear all the information she had been learning about death and the funeral industry.

After watching a moving TEDx talk of Heather's journey overcoming cancer I was so looking forward to sit down with her and hear about her life journey.
Most of us don't think on a daily basis, "I'm going to die one day." Heather's story reminds us to live every moment to the fullest, be intentional creators in our life and ask, "How do I want to be remembered?"

Two years ago Mary Magdalene was honored by the Catholic church as The Apostle of the Apostles - and given a day in her honor July 22.
This means so much for our awakening collective consciousness, that this powerful woman could no longer be shunned or shamed by the church, and on a larger scale speaks to how women are reclaiming their power.
In honor of Mary Magdalene's Feast Day, July 22, I've put together a recording for you of the Rose lineage teachings that have most impacted my life:
It is a great honor to introduce you today to a personal guide and mentor of mine, Marin Bach-Antonson.
For the last year I have been participating in a 13 gateway Priestess Initiation Program led by Marin.
In this conversation, Marin shares about the role of the Priestess, the rise of the feminine in our collective consciousness and one of the most simple and profoundly life-changing practices we can bring into our life right here and right now.
KC's work has been hugely transformational in my life and I am so honored to be sharing her wisdom with you today.
In this conversation you'll learn how to transform fear and self-doubt around sharing your voice into total freedom, fun and confidence. KC also shares the powerful story of her son's birth as well as a few tips on how you can gain clarity on your message and what you stand for.

Have you ever received a vision of yourself in a past life?
Or just had a knowing that someone you met or experienced in this life is just all too familiar?
Our latest guest Tiffani Lloyd explores exactly these kinds of questions in her work with the akashic records. I first met Tiffani at a women's retreat in Oakland and we instantly connected... I was so curious to learn about her work as an intuitive and spiritual healer and wondered how she supports her clients to reconnect with their past lives.
I was lucky to sit down and talk with Mahita about her experience with creating the recycling center at Amma’s, the current state of the world when it comes to waste management, and what we can actually do to make a difference.
We recorded this interview over Skype while Mahita was at the ashram and I was back in the states - so you may hear the sound of rickshaws and other sounds of India in the background.
This conversation touched me deeply and is a topic I believe we should all be aware of….
A few weeks ago I attended my first Tantra class with Rosalie Amber Grace. While many of us associate Tantra with sexuality, I've learned it is much more about a way of being in the world. I see tantra as an approach to life ~ embracing all, being fully present, and allowing the material world (including our sexuality) to be a pathway to awakening.
I felt so nourished from the sweet & simple practices Rosalie shared with us in her class that I invited her to be on the podcast to share with all of you.
When I first started my business as an entrepreneur I quickly learned there were A LOT of fears I would encounter. Everything from being seen, presenting and teaching, to looking at my relationship to money, charging from my services, leading a webinar for the first time ~ there was so much that made me want to run away and hide.
If only I had Kate's new book,The Courage Habit, when I started this wild journey of following my heart...!

I met MacKenzie sophomore year of high school, and it has been amazing to watch her journey unfold over the years to where she is now. After dedicating her entire life to swimming, on the path to be in the Olympics, life took a surprising turn, and she was asked to surrender those plans. After taking some time to grieve what she thought her life would be, she created a new dream.

What I learned from Maga in this episode was truly transformative. I had just gone through a week on my moon cycle, trying to push myself to get clear on a schedule for the next month of business promotions, but literally all I wanted to do was stay in bed.
One of the things I loved most about sitting down to talk with Erin was when we touched on the topic of comparing ourselves to other women. I think one of the deepest wounds that can really be a challenge when stepping into true sisterhood and community is when we get stuck comparing ourselves to other people. It brings us right into the question of wondering, is there really enough for everyone?
When Amanda Johnson and I found each other we saw so many parallels in our journeys - writing and publishing our first books, running a crowdfunding campaign to do so, taking steps to be more visible and share our stories and the journey of remembering we are truly worthy of our dreams…
If you’ve ever felt inspired to write a book, are ready to release the judgments of your own inner critic, or follow your true heart’s desires, this conversation is for you.
It was a joy to sit down with Maggie Minor of Maggie Minor Designs in the latest RWL podcast episode to discuss the deeper emotional layers that are involved in the decluttering process. She shares how we need to address the void that comes when decluttering and invites us to ask, “How do we avoid just filling it up again with stuff?”
It was such a blessing to sit down with Sabrina Riccio in this week's RWL podcast episode. Sabrina laid down truth bomb after truth bomb, telling it like it is with authenticity and fierce love. If you are feeling the call to "wake up" and release the blocks that have been holding you back from standing in your full, radiant truth, this episode is for you.
It was an honor to sit down with renowned author and yoga teacher Elena Brower. We spoke of her journey: discovering yoga, becoming a teacher, finding her voice and more recently letting go of addiction, stepping into her power as a wellness advocate and team leader for doTERRA and the beauty that comes when you step into your highest alignment. We spoke of the power of when a woman steps into wealth and abundance, how to honor our grief and pain, and what to let go of to deepen our personal practices
Just days ago this amazing woman, Katie Burke gave birth to her second child. I was lucky to sit down with Katie in early September when she was 32 weeks pregnant to hear about her role as a Priestess, the birth of her first child, and navigating marriage, a business, and family all while being on a personal growth journey of ascension and awakening.
I'm so grateful to introduce you today to Myrah Peñaloza, clothing designer, mother, and Kundalini yoga teacher.I followed along on the journey of her pregnancy and excitedly read her birth story after her daughter Soleil was born. Myrah reminds us of the power we have to create change in the world as women and mothers and I'm excited to share her wisdom with you all today.
"My whole perspective of life has changed because as I gained success financially in my career and I finally had this total freedom that I craved for so long, I realized that I didn't feel that different. That has catapulted me into finding out what really gives me joy. What really gives me peace. What really gives me freedom. And love and connection...
In the midst of all the events happening in our world, again and againwhat I keep coming back to for healing is feeling our feelings. Letting the grief, the anger, the fear come to the surface to be loved.
And that's what today's episode on the Rising Women Leaders podcast is all about.
It wasa joy to sit down with another sensitive soul and kindred spirit Erin Telford to speak about healing our hearts, honoring our emotions and listening to our "soul whispers." I hope you enjoy it.
Have you ever met one of those people you instantly feel so calm and centered in their presence? That's how I felt talking to Cait. She is a vibrant soul who followed her heart leaving "the grind" behind in New England to embody inner radiance in Bali, Indonesia.
You'll feel yourself transported to Bali as you listen to this episode - you'll even hear the roosters crowing outside with the sun rise!

Lately I’ve been reflecting on what it means to have “enough.”
Last month I was lucky to sit down with a founding partner of Abacus Wealth Partners, an investment company that focuses on making the world a better place, Spencer Sherman.
I found it really interesting when he shared, “Giving and saving are two ways to tell your body and mind, ‘I have enough.’”

I think you'll also be inspired by Denell's story if you feel the call to share your own healing journey and be of service to others as Denell shares about releasing her fears of vulnerability to share her voice.
As we close out 2016, I knew this was the perfect episode to leave you with. Achintya speaks so powerfully of what is happening in our world right now, how women are being called to embody their divine feminine sovereign power and how we can fully activate and align on our path. For this episode especially, I urge you to listen all the way to the end. About three quarters of the way through we touch on some deeply meaningful topics that I think you will want to hear. You may want to have a tissue on hand.
I have a new podcast episode for you today with goddess Ashly Rose Wolf of Femme Rising. I have been admiring Ashly's luscious images and designs on her instagram feed for some time now so was *over the moon* excited to sit down with her and ask my questions about shakti, cycle syncing, sensuality and feminine wisdom.
I spoke with Lyla just days after she returned from Standing Rock last month. I left this interview feeling filled with so much hope, passion, and devotion to our Mother Earth as well as my own dreams and ambitions. I hope you will find the same.
Please take the time this week to listen to the full episode, and I encourage you to share it with your friends. The time has come for us all to rise together.
To me, self-love is about knowing how to show up for ourselves when challenges and difficulties arise. When we create that foundation of self-love, that's when we can live beyond our fears and fully share our gifts with the world, knowing that no matter what happens, we will be okay.
This is one of the more fun and playful readings from my book, Synchronicity. Learn more about the holy mountain of stillness and light, Mount Arunachala in the town of Tiruvannamalai, India and meet Shankara, one of the main characters of the book (who I almost instantly fall in love with)...Enjoy! To pre-order your copy of Synchronicity, follow the kickstarter campaign here: http://kck.st/2dTEZpS
In today's book reading of Synchronicity I take you back to my first month in India where I recount my time at Amma's ashram in Kerala. Amma gives a speech on the beach at the Arabian Sea on how we can give back to the whole of humanity and collaborate between religions. I then volunteer teaching English at an orphanage, and I tell the story of how I first found my voice as a yoga teacher. I'm beginning to really see the power of calling upon ascended masters like Mary Magdalene to reconnect with source energy. If you have been intrigued to learn more about Mary Magdalene and want to learn more about how you can work with the unconditional love she has to offer, I highly recommend you listen to today's show.
I believe we all have the power to transform our greatest moments of pain and suffering into our greatest moments of awakening.
But I know from personal experience it is so hard to see the light when it feels like the world is crumbling beneath our feet. Today I want to share with you one of my more difficult moments in the first reading of my book, Synchronicity. (Watch the full video about it here! http://kck.st/2dTEZpS)
I'm excited to share a new episode today on the podcast! I sat down with one of my inspirations, Katie Dalebout to talk about podcasting, book publishing, journaling and body image.
I first discovered Katie's podcast, Let it Out (formerly the Wellness Wonderland) through my friend Jasmine who was raving to me about it. Over the past year I've enjoyed listening to the inspirational speakers, authors and experts she has on the show.
Last week I sat down with another Rising Woman Leader, Ashley Burnett, to talk about her journey to uninhibited leadership.
One of the things I love about Ashley is that she can have a fierce get-stuff-done attitude at the same time as embracing everyone around her with so much love.
I've been honored to get to know her over the past few months since she moved from SF to the countryside in Petaluma, CA and I can't wait for you to get to know her through today's show!
On today's episode of the Rising Women Leaders Podcast, I asked Noelani if she would share about her experiences of finding her voice and how her unique experiences of motherhood and childbirth have shaped her into the woman she is today.
In this episode I talk with Luna Love about growing up in New York, what inspired me to take a leap to move to California after college, become a yoga teacher, travel to India and eventually start my own business. In the episode I also share my "4 Keys to Feminine Leadership" and the women who have inspired me most over recent years.
In this episode Becca shares how she listened to her inner calling to rediscover her feminine nature as well as start a successful online business supporting women to reconnect to creativity and sisterhood.
We also share about the shadow side of sisterhood and leadership, how to handle comparison in a world of growing women’s entrepreneurship and how to create structures of support in your life to rise above your biggest challenges.
Karen Prosen and I were immediately drawn to each other when we first met in downtown Sebastopol, CA when she came to look at the office space I was renting at the time.
Our connection deepened over the coming months when she joined my very first group coaching program for women two years ago and over time has become a dear friend, collaborator and teacher of mine as well.
I felt called to bring light to the topic of "Reclaiming Divine Feminine Sexuality" after listening to a video interview with two female yoga mentors of mine. One of them shared about her story of sexual abuse in her life and how she was able to transform the experience into a source of empowerment. It became clear that this was a topic I wanted to address and share with my community.
