In the US and China, women typically make up less than a third of new EV buyers according to CleanTechnica.  Cristina Muñoz stopped by the Grand Rapids Drive Electric Earth Day and so we thought it would be fun to have her on the show for the topic of women and EVs. 

Henry Ford’s wife Clara drove a 1914 Detroit electric car.  Kate Cartier, the wife of Warren Cartier, a prominent Ludington businessman, drove a 1917 Detroit Electric Car.

Automakers around the world are having a tough time getting women to embrace EVs. It’s hard to understand, as studies show that environmental issues and climate change are more important to women than men.
