Life is a long time, and many times you have to experience enough of it in order to be really good at something. As New York Times best-selling author, Katherine Reay, points out, sometimes you need to have a day job while you work towards your dream job. Katherine was a history major at Northwestern, a data and marketing guru at Sears, a development lead at the Chicago Field Museum and the University of Chicago, and now a best-selling author about to publish her 11th book. Every experience she has had led her to her dream job, She never lost sight of her goal and stuck with her passion for writing. Katherine will say that she could not write the stories she writes at 22 years old. She had to first experience life. Never think you’re selling out. It’s all a part of the journey.
