Hit up downtown Salt Lake City for the Salt Lake Greek Festival Sept 8- 10 and then one week later for the Festa Italiana Sept 16 & 17.

The Greek Festival is the granddaddy of cultural festivals in Utah, and the Festa Italiana is doing pasta & pizza eating competitions.  Try them both!
