Marcelo Arrue is not only my best friend of nearly 40 years, but he is also a 20-year veteran for one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the country. In this episode, we discuss some of the many absurd laws going into effect in California as of January 1st, 2023. Also discussed is the continuing recruitment, hiring and retention challenge facing most law enforcement organizations, particularly in California, and how a lack of leadership in the profession is the primary factor fueling this problem.
