Martin Brand is an entrepreneur, knowledge broker in sustainability and expert-generalist on internationalisation, he has his own company FinDera Consulting and spoke with us at the hubcast in the Hub Turku podcast studio.

Martin has already matched over 300 one-to-one business partnerships since 2006, first operating as an external foreign sales and export manager for numerous German and Finnish companies from different sectors on behalf of the German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce. Now offering valuable insights and hands-on services through his own company FinDera Consulting: www.findera.fi.

Martin has also initiated over 50 bilateral business promotion and fact-finding projects with special focus on resource efficiency, renewables, smart grid, circular economy and environmental technology.

Martin told us how important is to unify forces between government, businesses and the public. we discussed about circular economy, producers ownership, technology, internationalisation, business models, education and especially about the paradox of wanting change but not changing our lifestyles.

We have agreed on Finland being a forerunner in circular economy and hopefully becoming a role model for other countries.

The podcast is hosted by Omar Castro, who has his own podcast called “Socio”, which means Partner in Spanish. He is from Colombia and he has lived around the world and now settled in Turku, Finland. He is developing circular economy activities and processes, has offered consulting and works with different clients with business development and solutions. He is an enthusiastic circular economy promoter and has developed his own solution for circular economy logistics and circulation of materials called Socio Network. Martin and Omar have a very interesting conversation on what could the enablers and accelerators for circular economy be in order for it to go mainstream and spread successfully as an economic model.
