This is the second episode of Yazidi Voices, the podcast by Yazidi Legal Network.
In this week’s episode we speak to Professor Jan Kizilhan, a psychologist, author, and publisher. Professor Kizilhan focuses his research on trauma, terror and war, transcultural psychiatry, psychotherapy, and migration. In this episode, we learn about the Yazidi culture and religion, the genocide, trauma and transgenerational trauma. In addition, Professor Kizilhan talks about founding the Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychotraumatology at Dohuk University in Northern Iraq.
