This conversation is with an artist and researcher Sasha Fishman, who is a sculptor and researcher based in LA and Baltimore. She is particularly interested in marine biomaterials, toxicology, and genetic engineering as points for critical analysis + mechanisms for sculpting. Her practice spans caring for deep sea eels and algae to formulating sculptable materials from found biomass.
