<p>WomCam Bonus Episode! In October 2018, NUS Women’s Campaign marked Black History Month with a series of panel events exploring the experiences of Black women in academia. For our London panel, we were delighted to be joined by Dr Mónica Moreno Figueroa (University of Cambridge), Dr Gail Lewis (Birkbeck, University of London) and Dr Victoria Showunmi (Maynooth University Ireland and University College London).&nbsp;</p>
<p>We hear them reflect on what drove them into academia, and ask how their research has been affected by their positionality. Through these conversations, we hoped to provide an opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the current UK higher education landscape, and how we make, protect and extend the radical research done by the most marginalised.</p>
