British filmmaker Kitty Harper's award winning short drama Ma Prison has been selected for screening at the 9th Annual Mindfield Film Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The film will be shown on the twenty ninth of August during the festival's one o'clock afternoon programme at Guild Cinema. Its selection follows a successful showing in the festival's May and June 2026 bi monthly competition, where it received several major awards.
Ma Prison won the Diamond Award for Best Short Film. Sophie Bullock received the Diamond Award for Best Actress, Kitty Harper was recognised with the Diamond Award for Best Original Score, and Susannah May received the Platinum Award for Best Supporting Actor. Those honours secured the film's place in the festival's live programme.

As the story unfolds, she uncovers an unexpected truth, exploring themes of grief, empathy, anger, and the complexities of human relationships.
